and Oct is but a memory in the rearview mirror and I still don't have the new web filtering extention. Just how long does it take to "roll out" something? I'm aspatient as I need to be but I though the schedule was during Oct. It's not Oct any more. :D Phil
Why doesn't the back up addon for Firefox FEBE include the Webroot Filtering Extension during backup
I use Firefox as my main browser and the FEBE as the back up addon for saving all the changes made to Firefox but unfortunately it will not save the Webroot Filtering Extensions. Does anyone know how to fix this situation? Thanks
How do I generate a password (which is done easily), but then move that generated password to a site already existing in my list of sites. I have generated a password but it does not show up in the passwords list. This tells me I am not doing something the right way. I must not be finishing the process of generating and saving that generated password. And then being able to more it as described above. Thank you for any insight. I am intermittently receiving a message from traffikkim.link/w/alerts/test2/?city=%2AUNKNOWN&ip=126.96.36.199&isp=%2AUNKNOWN&IP&Address&num=877-540-3212. It says WAIT - IMPORTANT SECURITY MESSAGE and tells me to call 877-437-1633 to contact a tech or my personal information might be compromised. The only way I can get rid of the message (it won't allow me to click out of it) is to go to End Task. Sometimes when I do that and go back into my browser (Google Chrome), it appears again. This has been happening for about a week. I don't want to call the given number because the message doesn't identify where it is coming from. I have a previous ticket in which I described the problem and they told me several steps to take, which I did, but can't seem to get rid of the problem. Please help! This is getting very annoying and I am concerned about my information.
Kit I have an issue with a couple of users who have Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete installed. I have been using your products for over 5 years now and recommend them to anyone and everyone, however the exclusion issue may be going to cause me a problem today! These users are using a database application and intermittently they lose the Copy/Paste functionality in this application and indeed on the whole PC, one is Windows 7 the other Windows XP. The database support department have been approached and we were advised to turn off Webroot and see what happened. Turns out that turning Webroot off alleviates the Copy/Paste functionality not working, so it looks as if Webroot is the root cause. I will say that my investigations have uncovered plenty of noise on the Internet of users with similar issues where other applications and functionality have been highlighted as possible causes ie RDPclient.exe etc. Anyway, the DB vendor has advised th
I started noticing my harddrive space was dropping rather rapidly once Webroot came into my life. After a quick search online I see --multiple-- topics talking about database files that are anywhere from a few gig to several tens of gigs in size. Help me understand why this is? Is this bad garbage collection? Poor programming? The other competing softwares in this domain have a footprint of FAR less than this. My own Webroot which has been installed for about 3 months managed to grow its DB files to a gargantuan 60GB. That is absurd by any metric you measure by. Go to an IT Enterprise manager and attempt to sell this product to a corporation or business where it is writing gigabytes of files onto a local PC on a daily/weekly basis. Why is this still an issue when I see threads dating back years regarding this EXACT problem. This is 100% not OK and I would have never purchased this software if I had known I would have to 'babysit' its Program Data directory.
Hi I appologize in advance if this is in the forum already, but I could not find the solution I am operating on Chrome 35.0.1916.114 and have webroot complete. Hi all. So Bitcasa left beta today: http://blog.bitcasa.com/ I have been using Bitcasa for a few months and the Infinite drive component on the three machines I have it and Webroot installed on has never worked. My plan was to start this thread to possibly open a troubleshooting channel and hopefully gather reports from other Bitcasa/Webroot users as to whether they are seeing the same problems. For anyone that would like to know I believe Bitcasa adds a drive (usually drive letter "i") and this is the infinite drive, effectively another drive on the machine that is virtual. If other members have things I can try or support please ask away. Thanks everyone.
I am running webroot SecureAnywhere on my Win 7 PC and have concerns that I may have been hacked. I have a few questions to see if you can dispel my fears. My concern is that I was attempting to add a "non-secure" network printer directly to my PC and I'm wondering if this connection/port could have been used to hack into my PC and load/run some erroneous software. Am I exposed with this network printer? Can Webroot detect/prevent this exposure? I recall a brief message indicating a non-secure network. Since adding this printer on 12/15, I noticed that Webroot was updated in my control panel programs on 12/16 without my knowledge. I don't know if this was a coincidence with a new version of Webroot or a spoof related to the new printer. In googling I saw that a new version 188.8.131.52 of Webroot was released on 12/15 so it seems like a valid upgrade. Would Webroo
So, back when Firefox updated for Firefox 40, there was an issue with the signature for the Webroot Password Manager. It looks like something similar has happened with the update for Firefox I just applied, which brought me up to Firefox 48. Will the same patch work for 48 that worked for 40, or is Webroot coming up with a new patch?
