Can anyone explain why a driver download for a webcam would estimate 12 hours?
I've had issues with my computer for a while and have contacted Customer Service previously concerning being hacked on the fly. My subscription renewal is forthcoming, so this is pretty much a make or break issue for me. I didn't download the drivers because the time was ridiculous. Hopefully, I can get some help here from a computer god with advanced knowledge of webroot as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to properly activate my webroot on my PCs? Long story short - I bought Webroot for 5 PCS. Installed on 3 PCs, activated the key code, created account on webconsole. Done reactivating it many times from My Account settings but failedhttps://prnt.sc/10qijn8If I try registering it again, says key already registered:https://prnt.sc/10qjxzc Please anyone can help? I’ll truly appreciate it!I have contacted support already yesterday and till now - no clear direction how to solve this very basic issue? -Jay PS: Another issue is that on some of my PCs- webroot causes freezes and slow down the PC a lot.
Adobe.com blocked by webroot. Download of flash player update is blocked by webroot.
INTRUSIVE I am angry. You are blocking the website and the installation.. BACK OFF!! I need this program. There are things I am required to do that won't work without it. I am angry right now.. I guess I need a different AV.. ONE that will NOT block this installation!! I have followed YOUR links.. IT will NOT allow me to do what I need to do. why the new logoff option?
Suddenly I notice that the green password manager toobar icon no longer automatically logs you out upon closing web browser. Now I have to perform the extra step of manually logging off. If I forget to do that, someone who opens browser will see all my passwords.
60GB Database files? Just... no.
I started noticing my harddrive space was dropping rather rapidly once Webroot came into my life. After a quick search online I see --multiple-- topics talking about database files that are anywhere from a few gig to several tens of gigs in size. Help me understand why this is? Is this bad garbage collection? Poor programming? The other competing softwares in this domain have a footprint of FAR less than this. My own Webroot which has been installed for about 3 months managed to grow its DB files to a gargantuan 60GB. That is absurd by any metric you measure by. Go to an IT Enterprise manager and attempt to sell this product to a corporation or business where it is writing gigabytes of files onto a local PC on a daily/weekly basis. Why is this still an issue when I see threads dating back years regarding this EXACT problem. This is 100% not OK and I would have never purchased this software if I had known I would have to 'babysit' its Program Data directory.
6 year subscription cancelled after 1 year
I used ABC Repair Tech last Nov. 2015 to fix my computer after a crash. I bought a 6 year Webroot subscription and it was cancelled today (Nov. 4, 2016) one year later. I believe both that company and Webroot probably were a scam. Is there a way to check on this from your side? How important is it to remove the Webroot Secure Anywhere program from my computer today in case they still have ability to crash my computer.
Ok, i'm sure this is in the wrong area. Frankly, i do not care. It is now, 2:00 AM on the dot and i'm peeved. I've got a trojan that has been quarantined via The Secure Anywhere PC Application. I have tried deleting it many times and i keep getting; "The password entered was incorrect" No. YOU are incorrect. :@ Actions as follows: *Double click WRSA icon on pinned toolbar *Select PC Security Tab *Select Quarantine Subcat *Select View Quarantine in subcat *Checkmark quarantined item for deletion *click ERASE *Prompted for password *Spammed keyboard of all known passwords used since computers were introduced to me. Also, tried a plethora of spelling variations, capitalizations, and changin my password numerous times. It's in quarantine and has been for many months now. It doesn't affect me currently, i've got it implemented on my Android device as well. The most thorough, yet light security solution i've ever used. Fantastic! I just want
POSSIBLE COMPROMISED AV aka Seriously bad juju going down with Webroot
My WRLog in the WRData folder is proof. I have 307.8 BILLION, no lie, BILLION system events since install and the number doesn't stop going up at and extremely high rate of speed. This is a possible compromised AV and vulnerability. Please work with me so that we can have this patched up for me and everyone else soon. Thank you, Jay
Google Chrome Webroot app added without me downloading?
I have Webroot SecureAnywhere and this morning when I got online I noticed that I had a Webroot app had been added right next to my address bar along with my other 2 apps; Gmail and AdBlocker. Now I haven't gone to the app store and added this to chrome it just did it itself. When I go to my extensions, it shows Webroot Password Manager. When I click on the app itself it asks me for email and password. I haven't done it yet because I wanted to know if this is some new feature of Webroot or is something trying to get my account info. Thanks!
Concern regarding Webroot SecureAnywhere Keylogger protection.
I tested webroot's secureanywhere keylogger and screengrabber protection using the Anti-Keylogger Tester (ALKT v3.0) which has 7 different methods to test for capturing keystrokes, and 2 different methods for screen grabs. So far, webroot secureanywhere complete failed to protect 3 out of the 9 total methods. The failures are listed below. For the keyboard Lowlevel hook test - webroot failed to protect against keystrokes. Every single keystroke was intercepted. For the keyboard GetRawInputData test - some letters in words are being intercepted. For the screengrab screenshot 1 test (pushes a "print screen" keystroke) - a screen grab was successfully obtained. Questions: 1. Is webroot aware of these fails? 2. What are the implications of these failures in a real-world scenario? 3. Can Webroot please address this? If not addressable, why? Thanks in advance.
System Scan Tells me Antivirus is Disabled?
Hello, I ran System Analyzer and it told me that Secure Anywhere was disabled. Can anyone help me validate this or tell me if there is a problem? I've included the results of the scan. Conflict between WSA and MBAM Premium
I have WSA as primary AV/AMW software and MBAM for extra protection. Both are good, but MBAM sometimes reacts to WSA features. I can whitelist WSA on MBAM but I need the IP address9 as opposed to the URL to do that. Where do I find the webroot IP address. Winxpsp3/Seamonkey 2.26.1
infected with adware generic_r.UJ and haven't been able to get rid of it for a week. Any thoughts?
Good Day all, I have two laptops, on my new one I was given webroot with the purchase of the computer. On the older laptop (Windows 7) I have used three different anti-virus programs (MSE, AVG, and Adaware by lavasoft) two of these keep finding things but never get rid of the source which is a dll file that has been infected. with avg I am able to see the file that is infected but unable to do anything about it. I have tried downloading different scanners and programs with the virus free laptop and then using a thumb drive running them on the infected computer but with no success. Would webroot be able to rid me of this?
Remote Desktop Connection failing
About a week ago (give or take), my Prevx software switched over to Webroot. I honestly don't know what changes were made, but I DO know that some were. Round about the same time, my Remote Desktop Connection to another system stopped working. When trying to connect from my WinXP machine to my Win7 machine, I started getting the following error: An authentication error has occurred (Code: 0x507). Anyone know what might have happened? My next step is to reload a restore point of a couple weeks back, but I'd like to avoid this if there's a simple fix. Thanks for any help.
Green circle is only showing on some synced folders.
The green circle that denotes that folders/files have been synced to the cloud shows up on the main storage folders but on none of the subfolders or files. It does not show up at all on the Webroot Anywhere folder. The files appear to be synced correctly. The green circle is just not showing up except on the main folders. This occured after I was instructed by tech support to remove all folders from the cloud and start over. (something had caused all my folders/files..including the Webroot Anywhere folder.... to disappear from the 'Folders' section of the "Backup and Sync" settings.) When I created the new empty folders & linked them to my pc, they showed with the green circle. After adding subfolders/files, the green circle does not show on the added folders/files. The folders/files are being synced to the cloud. I miss having the green circle ... it saves me time...not having to check to make sure my doc has synced
WSA Mac 10.9 issue
I have read through most of the other posts and I haven't seen a discription close to what I am seeing. I am running WSA on MAC Mavericks, I can open WSA but it only stays open for a few seconds, 30-40 then closes and disappears. The initial scan never completes and it still says waiting for license. I have deleted and reinstalled, I can see my device registered in the web interface, I am at a loss. Any suggestions?
