Why will Webroot NOT SCAN automatically on my new Toshiba Windows 8.1 PC?
No matter what settings I use it will not scan at the scheduled time, nor if not able to at that time, it WILL NOT scan on bootup. This morning the status showed the last scan to be 22 hours ago (had to manually do that one) and the next one not again for 23 hours. It is currently scheduled to scan every day at 8:00AM or upon bootup if resources not available (I take that to mean the computer is either 'sleeping' or 'off').The 'enable scheduled scans' box is also checked. I addressed this problem in a posting earlier this week to the community and I acted according to the responder's answer but to no avail. Forgive me if I err but I think the responder may have been 'ShortCircuit'?? Thank you in advance for a solution to this situation as it is inconvenient at best and leaves me with the feeling that I may not be all that fully protected at least. My wife is experiencing the same problem on her new (Dell) Windows 8.1 PC as well.
After installing Webroot SecureAnywhere my MSN login screen is white/empty. There is a border and the text to switch to another user but the form is blank which doesn't help when trying to login. I'm using the fat client (it works better for others in the household). Any ideas?
Backup & sync is disabled without warning
Hello. I realized of a malfunction of the Backup & Sync function. Sometimes it is deactivated, nevertheless it appears with the green light in the control panel of WSA! If I try to reactivate it I get an “error 10”, “exceeded number of loading retries for one or more files”. Rebooting the machine sometimes works, but not always, e.g. now I am still with this feature disabled...
Import settings not importing all the settings
I saved my settings before I format my lappy. then when I installed WSA again, I imported them back, but not all the settings were imported, I cant remember off the top of my head what wasn't correcrlty imported but I would like to infrom you that this import/export for settings is buggy

Webfilter filtering extension not showing on FIrefox
Webroot Filtering Extension works periodically on Firefox using Win 7 64 bit Pro. This is doing this on both of my PC's. When and if it does show, it is slow loading. If I click on a link from Google and go back to the Google search, it no longer shows. The Add On Manager does show it as Active, along with a warning that the "Webroot Filtering Extension could not be verified for use in Firefox. Please proceed with caution."
firefix 40.0.2 with webroot, webroot icon is already green, cant log in
when i open my firefox browser, the webroot icon is already green, normally its a shaded grey. i am unable to log in, what gives, who can help me. I see that webroot did a update on Aug 18, 2015. Does this have anything to do with it? I have never had this problem before. Who knows what is going on
I've been trying to figure out how to re-install on my new computer. Instructions tell me I need to uninstall Webroot from my old computer, but that thing died and I am unable to uninstall it. How do I get Webroot re-installed without being able to uninstall from the old computer? Instructions online tell me to go to my account and then : Click the Licenses & Products tab. I never come to that tab!
My firewall lists no active connections in the Active Connections page.
No Active Connection shown. I have the browser,a weather gadget open, and several background programs that need the Internet but nothing ever shows as active. No programs I try have any problems. I have restarted the system to no avail.
I have recently begun experiencing blocking via pop up windows by an application calling itself OPEN DNS. I did not willingly install it. It randomly selects topics I try to navigate to via my web browser (IE) and blocks them. It is not persistent as I can try again in a few minutes and access the navigation I chose. It is, however, frustrating. I have been unable to locate any spyware, malware, or registry entries and have run webroot secure scan as well as combofix trying to get rid of it. Online research has not turned up a solution to squash the bug.
Need To Exclude An Entire Directory
Hello, I need to remove an entire directory from being scanned. The reason for this is an application crashing and the response I got back from the application's technical support: Thank you for sending the crash logs. It looks like something is blocking HM2 from accessing your memory. The most likely cause based on the log files is your choice of security software. Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, Avira, Avast, AVG, Bitdefender, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with Holdem Manager. I would like to know what a paying member of your software is supposed to do? I tested this by disabling webroot, and then my application runs fine. Please advise. Thank You, Adam
HTTPS mixed content error on passwords pane
The page at 'https://my.webroot.com/?action=uberIdentity' was loaded over HTTPS, but ran insecure content from 'http://my.webroot.com/aso/blank.html': this content should also be loaded over HTTPS
desktop pc shows unknown acct, webroot seems fine though
My desktop is displaying a person silhouette icon, and the letters BBY_TESTACCT when I tap that: "Change account picture...Lock and Sign out" appear. Below these is another silhouette icon with my initials next to it. When I tap my icon it shows up in a larger size with my initials to right of it & my email address below them. To the left of "my" silhouette is a left facing arrow. I tap this arrow & both icons appear side by side-the left one: "BBY_TESTACCT & the words signed in" . My icon has my initials under it. I am really hesitant to be tapping anything because I don't know what I am doing . I checked webroot & everything looks ok... Could I have checked in the wrong area? Thank you
WEBROOT Selling Same Keycodes To Multiple Users??
I purchased a two year license via Amazon.com today. I recieved the keycodes and entered it. But it was showing my license was only good through December 13th 2014 (Less than 11 months). I called Amazon and they said Webroot provides the keycodes. So I called Webroot. The Webroot advisor said I purchased a one year license LAST MONTH. I told him I purchased a two year license this morning. He practically called me a liar and insisted I purchased it last month. He said Webroot would not support the product because I didn't purchase it directly from Webroot. I accessed my web console and saw someone else's computer listed with my own computers (I purchased a 5 device license). So now I have aceess to shutdown and lock their PC. I'm thinking "WTF? Can they do the same to my computers?" This is a horrible violation of security by Webroot. I paid $99 for security software that Webroot won't support and that has made my computers even more vunerable to threats. &nb
No Password Manager
I've just install WSA and I'm having problems with the Password Manager. I'm using Chrome, but I have the same problem with IE. I'm running Windows 8.1. I'm not seeing the application icon in Chrome for WSA. I also don't see the app in IE. When I logon to my WSA account and click on "Passwords", I just see a "blank" page. I don't see any tabs or anything that should be there. Mike
Does SecureAnywhere Complete protect my e-mail traffic?
I am new to Webroot, and I just installed "Complete" on a PC. I was pleased with the scan of my Program Files folder, etc. But I see no evidence of protection, to incoming and outgoing e-mails. Please tell me if e-mail is scanned, and where this point is evidenced in writing. I notice no signature on my outgoing e-mails. My previous security software provided just such a signature, to outgoing e-mail. Thank you.
Learning to use Password Manager - questions from reading the manual
Hi, folks, I'm putting Password Manager through its paces for the first time, and I've noticed (mis)behaviors that appear buggy to me. It's not intuitive to me how some of the functionality accessible from the browser add-on menu integrates with that of the web console, so I'm assuming--for now--that the "bugs" are pilot error. I have decided (gasp) to read the manual to learn how the PM was designed to be used. I have two questions so far: 1) When I launch the WSA dashboard from the system tray, I see version 188.8.131.52 under My Account. The user guide I downloaded for PM says it's Version 8.0.1. Can anyone confirm the UI hasn't changed between these two versions, so the guide will be accurate? 2) I was disconcerted by this sentence on page 6 of the guide: "After the Password Manager downloads (see “Configuring the Password Manager” on page 3), a Webroot icon appears in the toolbar of your Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers." I use Chrome all the time. Was Chrom
I like Webroot and like how it works and safe it is but one thing about Webroot is why I am never going to buy/use again. That is the Password Manager it is a pain in the *ss to setup and use I spent days just trying to set it up still not able to.. I get errors and everything and the website just not finding my passwords. This should not be that hard to setup and do like other program's you should just be able to install and spend a few setting everything up and thats it. Webroot has made things way to hard about who can login to the website and who cant and this password thing should not be this hard. With them not having 24/7 help to help you with issues is why I am done with Wedroot.
The same Google toolbar threat coming in repeatedly
I even deleted and reinstalled the bar. This is what Webroot is catching as a threat. Im not saying its not. I just do not want my threat count to clime every time it catches it. Can I just block it with out it being registered as one. googletoolbar_64_34ec.dll in c: programfiles (x86) googlegoogl... component. Thanks for any help you can give me.
