Cnet is safe and just downloaded the program. Downloader contains only the elements of the installation of additional Toolbar - Babylon, which need not be installed because there is such an option and can be omitted. I wanted to report this fact into account and added it to the base program. Thank you. Hi all, Loving WSA Complete, extremely good product and I look forward to follow it's progress :D I use the backup feature, but I wish to only backup files between midnight and 8am - when my ISP allows unlimited traffic. I cannot find an option for this, is it possible? Many thanks in advance Matt
Today, after scanning the entire system, a colleague from another forum that it has received messages to system files that are clean are the Trojans! Scanning took place on the Windows 7 64 bit. There are obvious serious mistakes of the program. There should be a space. Please look into it. Provides a link to a screen grab from the scan. Here is the link to the test, Webroot can not cope too well, you may need to draw any conclusions from this? But the fact is that it shows the program settings. Welcome. 4 months have in your laptop Webroot Complete. Generally, every day or every few days I send through a program to analyze a lot of suspicious virus-infected files. The fact - are quickly addressed and dealt with by the program. My question is to you - otherwise how can you transfer files to analyze in more - but after five, because it is a tedious one. Another question is if I can get the answer - what engines have Webroot? I know that uses the Prevx because it was purchased, but do something else?
Hi all, Just to inform you that padlock that is usually seen over WSA icon in the systray when browsing on a HTTPS site or a HTTP site (configuration has to be set to Maximum) is striking in my case. It is a long lasting issue on my PC. I have been in touch with Joseph and Joe from the support via opening the support ticket, we have exchanged a lot of information about the issue. We ended up in having a remote support session which revealed that it is rather an aesthetic issue than malfunctioning of the Identity shield. They verified the shield is working correctly even if the padlock is missing what is a relief indeed. However we weren't able to fix the issue because there is likely not a way to resolve it without a change to the program's code (something what people in support do not do). The issue stems from problems created by the fact that my operating system is in a different language than English. So it may not be something that can/will be resolved until Webroot start to rele
Thx Jim for your very educational post ;) I went through all the files you have listed and found them all in my Vista setup. In fact I found more :D in the directory C:WindowsSystem32drivers Please see in the picture below (in the red rectangles). There is a lot of WSA remnant sys files. They are not all displayed. I made just an example. They are all over across the directory. Hovering over them gives WSA build number, so I noticed they indeed belong to the old WSA builds. I should add that I never was forced to use the randomize installation. The clean uninstall of WSA + cleaning temps, registry etc. using CCleaner doesn't remove them. So can you provide a tool which would be capable to remove them? Something like Norton has its removal tool. If not I would have to go the file by file to check if it is really WSA remnant or not. Unfortunately as you can see the files are named very oddly so it
I set up my account but all I see is a page that says "You are logged out" and a link that says "Return to Home". I did some searching and apparently I'm supposed to verify my email but I never recieved an email and I see no obvious way to resend an activation email. What can I do?
Hai, I checked my windows fireawll settings and it was turned on, does webroot secure anywhere complete use it's own firewall? Or is it using windows firewall? I just don't want to have 2 firewalls running if it's not needed, I'd like to think for the price webroot uses it's own firewall. Thank you :)
Hello everyone. It's been awhile.I noticed while navigating to www.adobe.com that i now get a notice saying the site contains malicious content and then the buttons to block or allow.I opted to just close the window to be safe.Has anyone else encountered this issue? Thanks for your time
Hi: I installed Complete 2012 today. Now I have a program that won't work anymore. The program is Eye-fi. It is a card reader that goes into a USB port and reads a Gig SD card in my camera. It should upload my pictures to my PC but it does not. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I might turn off, or undo in order to get this wifi card to work? is there a way to shut down Complete 2012 to test this out? I do a lot of photo uploading to my PC so I need this card. I actually wore (broke) out the mini USB in my camera because I use it so much.
I have Complete installed on my laptop with Windows 7 and have no problems. I also have it installed on a desktop with Windows XP and it's causing the monitor to go into sleep mode sporadically. I didn't have this problem before installing Webroot so I uninstalled it to confirm it was the cause. After uninstalling it, I no longer had the monitor issue. I reinstalled Webroot and it started again. Is it not compatible with Windows XP or do I need to change a setting or something? While using the computer, the monitor will turn black and say "entering power save mode" then a few seconds later it will let you resume what you were doing. Sometimes it will only do it once, other times it does it every 10 minutes or so. What could be causing this?
Hi there. I do not know how to write, but I'll start from the beginning. Install Webroot SA on 3 computers. Then installed the system several times over. The problem is that PC Security tab shows all the names of the computers on which it was installed Webroot. I would like to show themselves there three current names of these computers without which there is no. Is it possible to somehow remove (redundant host names), or perhaps this is done automatically. Please and thank you a hint in advance. I attach the screen. (Should be 3 computers, and there are 7, 4 names are now obsolete). Hello, I know that Webroot recommends the use of Windows Firewall alongside WSA but is it at least as effective if not more so if I use Comodo Firewall? Inherently, Comodo Firewall contains several features beyond what Windows Firewall has, including its Defense+, so that is where I wonder if concerns may come up? I just like Comodo Firewall because of its feature-set and its success in Matousec's tests (www.matousec.com). Thanks, Connor
Has anyone else had any issues with the newest version update? Since downloading and installing the newest version, my laptop has slowed to a crawl. It has even become difficult to type because the system struggles to keep up with me and lags behind. I have submitted a support ticket and am just waiting on a reply. All of my scans are coming up negative for anything infecting the system. Just wondering if this is something isolated to just me.
Hi all, I am new to webroot and seen it being used by a mate and was very impressed by its low memory usage and general not intruding in the use of the machine. So when my Norton Internet Security needed to be renewed I installed a trial and was instantly sold with Webroot Secure Anywhere, so I bought a copy of the complete from amazon and put in the product key before the trial had ended. As I wasn't really that worried about loosing a few days but now My Account Information says: Trial Active and 365 days shouldn't it just say active?
At mywebrootanywhere when I check it shows 3 computers 2 of which are the same one I just had my hard drive replaced. How do I get the old one to not show up I have a license for 3 computers and I want to add my sons laptop. As of right now I have 2 installations but it shows 3 .
