Hi: I installed Complete 2012 today. Now I have a program that won't work anymore. The program is Eye-fi. It is a card reader that goes into a USB port and reads a Gig SD card in my camera. It should upload my pictures to my PC but it does not. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I might turn off, or undo in order to get this wifi card to work? is there a way to shut down Complete 2012 to test this out? I do a lot of photo uploading to my PC so I need this card. I actually wore (broke) out the mini USB in my camera because I use it so much.
I have Complete installed on my laptop with Windows 7 and have no problems. I also have it installed on a desktop with Windows XP and it's causing the monitor to go into sleep mode sporadically. I didn't have this problem before installing Webroot so I uninstalled it to confirm it was the cause. After uninstalling it, I no longer had the monitor issue. I reinstalled Webroot and it started again. Is it not compatible with Windows XP or do I need to change a setting or something? While using the computer, the monitor will turn black and say "entering power save mode" then a few seconds later it will let you resume what you were doing. Sometimes it will only do it once, other times it does it every 10 minutes or so. What could be causing this?
Hi there. I do not know how to write, but I'll start from the beginning. Install Webroot SA on 3 computers. Then installed the system several times over. The problem is that PC Security tab shows all the names of the computers on which it was installed Webroot. I would like to show themselves there three current names of these computers without which there is no. Is it possible to somehow remove (redundant host names), or perhaps this is done automatically. Please and thank you a hint in advance. I attach the screen. (Should be 3 computers, and there are 7, 4 names are now obsolete). Hello, I know that Webroot recommends the use of Windows Firewall alongside WSA but is it at least as effective if not more so if I use Comodo Firewall? Inherently, Comodo Firewall contains several features beyond what Windows Firewall has, including its Defense+, so that is where I wonder if concerns may come up? I just like Comodo Firewall because of its feature-set and its success in Matousec's tests (www.matousec.com). Thanks, Connor
Has anyone else had any issues with the newest version update? Since downloading and installing the newest version, my laptop has slowed to a crawl. It has even become difficult to type because the system struggles to keep up with me and lags behind. I have submitted a support ticket and am just waiting on a reply. All of my scans are coming up negative for anything infecting the system. Just wondering if this is something isolated to just me.
Hi all, I am new to webroot and seen it being used by a mate and was very impressed by its low memory usage and general not intruding in the use of the machine. So when my Norton Internet Security needed to be renewed I installed a trial and was instantly sold with Webroot Secure Anywhere, so I bought a copy of the complete from amazon and put in the product key before the trial had ended. As I wasn't really that worried about loosing a few days but now My Account Information says: Trial Active and 365 days shouldn't it just say active?
At mywebrootanywhere when I check it shows 3 computers 2 of which are the same one I just had my hard drive replaced. How do I get the old one to not show up I have a license for 3 computers and I want to add my sons laptop. As of right now I have 2 installations but it shows 3 .
Greetings - I've used Spysweeper WITHOUT Antivirus for several years. For antivirus protection I use a different product. I do NOT like or want to use one program for all my security ! I believe in the old proverbial phrase, "Don't keep all your eggs in one basket". Today, Spysweeper checked for updates and it said an update was available, so I accepted it. BAD IDEA, because now Webroot Spysweeper INCLUDES antivirus protection (SecureAnywhere). It is not a good idea to have multiple antivirus products running on the same PC. I removed Webroot and reinstalled Spysweeper. Unfortunately the antivirus part is included. HOW do I get JUST Spysweeper Antispyware WITHOUT the antivirus protection of SecureAnywhere? (Or do I have to forget about using Webroot's Spysweeper in the future entirely?)
Webroot continues to be a double-edged sword for me. I've always had great difficulty navigating and finding things, and have a difficult time distinguishing the different opening pages. There should always be an easy way to (1) assess my own account and (2) gain access to help and support from webroot.com. My most recent example is that I lost Webroot on my other pc due to a computer problem and have to reinstall. I go to webroot.com, then mywebroot, and enter my email address and password. I'm now on the Secureanywhere page on that computer with four boxes - PC Security, Mobile Security, Backups, and Passwords. Nowhere on the site is there a link to help and support, or a place to find "community," or to gain access to all the Webroot tools and options I managed to find a link to reinstalling on another computer and thought I reinstalled webroot but it added the webroot as an additional pc rather than reinstalling. This was on Internet Explorer and now I want to
I have tried a couple of times clicking on the "Update software" button on the WSAC and have gotten the same message both times. The message was, "You are using the newest version of Webroot and this version no longer needs to update virus definitions. Threat protection is now performed "in the cloud" and is always up-to-date." So, that being said, why is there an "update software" button? (I know. Dumb question. Right?)
Hello, I'm a little confused about whether synched files are securely backed up. Since all synched files are altered when a change is made, does that mean if a file is deleted, even if by mistake, it will be deleted on synched computers and online? Or if a computer breaks down and has to be reformatted, are the synched files online removed as well. I assume synched files are protected even if not on the Web archive as this would defeat the value of synching, but I've not been able to find this topic on Webroot documentation. Thanks.
I read in annother posting on the community site that someone had found an issue with the shutdown procedure on pcs after installing webroot. I, too, have that "issue", but although it is a bit of an annoyance sometimes, it is not really an issue for me. I was, however, wondering if there has been any "resolution", or "fix" as it were, to this issue. If so, it would be nice to know. If not, again, it is not anything with which I am overly concerned. Merely curious.
My battle with a malware sent me on a path to WebRoot. The name of the malware has slipped my mind (that's good!), but it attacted all my .exe files. My computer was runing F-secure from charter, which did not block it or find it. The computer was also running iolo System mechanic. To rid the malware, I downloaded and ran MalwareBytes, which did stop the problem. I also ended up installing SpeedyPC Pro to finish the cleanup after the malware removal. Next, researched new protection for the PC and choose WebRoot (hooray!). No I am not employed by WebRoot, just enjoying it. Now, I have a subscription to System Mechanic 10 and SpeedyPC Pro. Which one of these will compliment Webroot the best? Or, maybe, I do not need either? From running both of them simutaneously, SpeedyPC seems to be doing a better job than System Mechanic. Looking for some good feedback. Neil
I use webroot complete today my compute basically froze, I had to hit the power button to shut it down. On restart it would not show desktop but the webroot pop up showed up saying im secure. I went into safe mode trying to figure out what was wrong and after trying many things I decided to uninstall wbroot and see. After I uninstalled restarted computer and it startted right up don't know if it was a bug or a glitch but I have reinstalled complete again and I am hoping it doesn't happen again.I am using windows 7 64 bit webroot secureanywhere complete and malwarebytes free. I ran a webroot scan, malwarebytes full scan, and a hitmanpro on demand scan all came up clean.
i mentioned this in the wsa forum on wilders forum but thought i would put it here also. when installing wsa complete and then installing the toolbar/password manager it installs in firefox fine on the admin account(win 7 64&32) but when i go to the standard account its not in firefox?hope this gets fixed someday.
Hello @ all, I' am a new user of WSA from Germany. Please kindly advise me, how I can report a false blocked website to Webroot? In WSA Complete is a tool to send malicious files, but I can't find a way to report a false blocked websites. Thanks and best regards Dabu
Hi there I was wondering if there is any way to disable or prevent WRSyncManager.exe from running? I cannot find a way, either overtly or view the 'back door', to prevent this .exe from running Now, before the storm of questions as to why I would want to do so, that it defeats the whole object of the Backup & Sync functionality, etc., please just accept that I have my own, considered reasons for asking/wanting to, and that I do not want to start a polemic surrounding the merits or not of these reasons, but rather get answers to my question so that if necessary I can lodge a formal request for the introduction of this fucntionality to be considered for addition to a future version. I , personally, think that it would be good to have such a configuration option, perhaps in Settings or a slider at the top of the Backup & Sync panel, to allow the user to disable or enable (enabled is suggested as the default) this functionality if, for some reason, they wish it. In my vie
Just a question and I think I know the answer...my wife and both sons (college age) have internet security programs that are about to expire. I am considering WSA Complete...they basically need "set up and forget protection". They all have MBAM-Pro (real time) and I would think that combination would be enough. The wife does some banking on line, not a lot. Since I have only been using WSA Complete 2 days, and like what I see, just considering the move. Thanks in advance for any input.
As you can see from the post I made about WSA discounted prices, I could get WSA Complete for $39.99 http://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/Discount-Prices-On-Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/td-p/622 I am running WSA Essentials and I like it. I do not need all the add-ons that Complete has. (Password, Android & iOS protection). I can use the extra online storage. For password protection I have been using RoboForm for the last 5 or so years. The Military Bases only sells Complete. If I bought WSA Complete can I disable the add-ons, mainly password protection so it does not interfere with RoboForm?
