I have had nothing but issues with Webroot since I was recommended to purchase the security program.
The purchase I made did not download correctly. Then I had technology support reinstall the program. Now, after hours of trying to get the program to work, I do not have the initial full protection intalled that I paid for. I tried again to call to have a technician to assist, because I am receiving continual error popups that my Windows Firewall and Webroot are both turned off. I look further and realized I did not even have an optimation tab in my utilites tab for Webroot. Still unprotected in that area, but very disappointed in the brand and service I have received.
I have not seen this posted anywhere, so this could be useful to anyone wanting to install Webroot Complete on their phone. I noticed that on the Google Play store Webroot Complete has not been updated in a while, but Webroot Free has been updated recently. That is good news as you can install Complete simply by installing the Free version. 1) Go to the Google Play store. 2) Search for and install Webroot Free. 3) Once it installs, it will prompt for a few extra steps. Follow these steps, and login to your Webroot account when asked. 4) Install the Secure Browser when it asks. You know will have a fully updated version of Webroot Complete. Backup and Sync is part of the main application now instead of a seperate app. If you use Webroot Password Manager, you can access the passwords through Secure Browser. Open the browser and click the Menu button (the three dots) in the upper right. Click Vault, and log in to your Webroot account. You can now access all of y
Guessing they shouldn’t be running at same time - or should they? Am using Windows 10 on PC. Do I need to uninstall the 32 bit version from 2 years ago? If I uninstall the 32 bit version, will it mess up the 64 bit version because they are sharing files? How should I proceed here please? Thank you!
When you purchase a digital copy of Webroot from Amazon do they send you a Key Code and download link? My current Webroot license doesn't expire for 2 more months and I want to wait to activate the new license until my current one expires.
Hello Everyone. I purchased a 14TB External Hard Drive. After Coping my information Into the External Drive, I noticed The company made a mistake and send me 12TB instead of 14TB. I called the Company, and they said to Delete all the Info, and send us the External Had Drive Back to us, and we shall send you the correct size. I can easily Format the Drive, but How can I Erase and totally Wipe all the In Information's Completely from the external Hard Drive.Thank you very much.
It is impossible to connect to your server to register a new key code. It appears to be working intermittently since I can register some devices and not others. Even registering for this support account did not work at first. It seems everyone at Webroot decided to take an early holiday and left no one to mind your servers. This is clearly not a way to increase your subscriber base or generate goodwill in your user community. Many of us have been wasting precious hours or OUR TIME trying to figure out what is wrong and now it seems that the problem is your server.
Hey, I spent a lot of time on this but couldn't succeed. I removed Webroot SA complete because I was getting error 10 and 21 for backup and file sync (still have that problem but screw it). Then my ethernet quit working and I got an "ETHERNET DOESN’T T HAVE A VALID IP CONFIGURATION" error in Windows. When I tried to reinstall it, it gave me a Bad Keycode Error of some sort. So, I figured it need to handshake to confirm the Key. Can anyone help me out on this?
I am trying to set up my VPN for a company which I am going to be servicing. How can I set this up without uninstalling my Webroot software? I am getting a windows defender error. My defender is open and my webroot is operating properly. How can I set up the VPN without removing my webroot.

certain programs ( Office, one Drive, etc etc) are asked to be connected, just once or permanent. I click on permanent, but the next time I revisit the computer same thinks are happening. I must say, ever since the last major upgrade there are lots of problems, like the webroot signs keeps repeating itself on the taskbar many times ………, something needs to be investigated and fixed. In my eyes Webroot was one of the best Systems, but now it is a pain in the You know where.
I am running Webroot Secure anywhere on several PCs several of which remain WIN7 machines. On one in particular I cannot access the Webroot interface or remove the program (or contact tech support) makes me think it’s time to look elsewhere for PC protection.First, I see no evidence the program is running at all except for a webr32 service (may have the name wrong as its from memory). Attempting to run the program conventionally from start menu yields nothing at all. I tried re-installing with the same result. Even more frustrating attempting to uninstall (as administrator) yields the message “ you must run as an administrator to uninstall” or words to that affect.Even MORE FRUSTRATING is trying to contact tech support, being required to login again, then getting the message that:We have already had contact with: ~ Snip Private information (email) ~ PTDPlease enter your password below if you wish to continue with your previous conversation. Reliability monitor showing error message for CORE (webroot) dozens of times a day, bluescreens, crashes.
“Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Core. Product Version: 1.2.1043. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Webroot. Reconfiguration success or error status: 1603.”I have already tried to delete the folder WRData, it has not resolved the issue. My PC runs 24hrs, so this disrupts active processes. I cannot have this happening.
When performing some cleanup I just noticed that I have a large number of processes listed under Active Connections. This is unusual as I normally have but a handful. I have uninstalled WR and reinstalled which seemed to work at first but is now beginning to add more and more programs to the list. I would very much appreciate any info or insights anyone may have. Thanks much! Joseph
What happens when i got a BACKUP folder of my whole d: drive and a file is being deleted on my local hard drive?I do not sync any files, only simple backup. If i delete file from original location, would online storage still contain it or not?Which way can i compare and delete files that are already deleted on local disk D: - is there any marker? If there is no marker i will just review local files and re-push 15GB every week, which is not nice for your transfer and my time. -Should i sync instead? If the backup is ‘incremental only with no markers or history’ it would be nice to know by the manual. Another thing i’ve noticed - .reg files are excluded due to ‘System and hidden file’ rule. Many people store registry exports in such files as documents… Maybe .reg is not that much ‘system file’?TIA
