It is impossible to connect to your server to register a new key code. It appears to be working intermittently since I can register some devices and not others. Even registering for this support account did not work at first. It seems everyone at Webroot decided to take an early holiday and left no one to mind your servers. This is clearly not a way to increase your subscriber base or generate goodwill in your user community. Many of us have been wasting precious hours or OUR TIME trying to figure out what is wrong and now it seems that the problem is your server.
I have a 5-seat SecureAnyware Complete license. I loaded SecureAnywhere Complete on a new, replacement computer. When I tried to login to my Webroot account, I provided my email address and password. Then it asked me for an AUTHENTICATION CODE, NOT letters from my security code , an AUTHENTICATION CODE. Where and how do I get an AUTHENTICATION CODE? This is a screenshot of the page asking for the AUTHENTICATION CODE.

certain programs ( Office, one Drive, etc etc) are asked to be connected, just once or permanent. I click on permanent, but the next time I revisit the computer same thinks are happening. I must say, ever since the last major upgrade there are lots of problems, like the webroot signs keeps repeating itself on the taskbar many times ………, something needs to be investigated and fixed. In my eyes Webroot was one of the best Systems, but now it is a pain in the You know where.
I am running Webroot Secure anywhere on several PCs several of which remain WIN7 machines. On one in particular I cannot access the Webroot interface or remove the program (or contact tech support) makes me think it’s time to look elsewhere for PC protection.First, I see no evidence the program is running at all except for a webr32 service (may have the name wrong as its from memory). Attempting to run the program conventionally from start menu yields nothing at all. I tried re-installing with the same result. Even more frustrating attempting to uninstall (as administrator) yields the message “ you must run as an administrator to uninstall” or words to that affect.Even MORE FRUSTRATING is trying to contact tech support, being required to login again, then getting the message that:We have already had contact with: ~ Snip Private information (email) ~ PTDPlease enter your password below if you wish to continue with your previous conversation. Reliability monitor showing error message for CORE (webroot) dozens of times a day, bluescreens, crashes.
“Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Core. Product Version: 1.2.1043. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Webroot. Reconfiguration success or error status: 1603.”I have already tried to delete the folder WRData, it has not resolved the issue. My PC runs 24hrs, so this disrupts active processes. I cannot have this happening.
What happens when i got a BACKUP folder of my whole d: drive and a file is being deleted on my local hard drive?I do not sync any files, only simple backup. If i delete file from original location, would online storage still contain it or not?Which way can i compare and delete files that are already deleted on local disk D: - is there any marker? If there is no marker i will just review local files and re-push 15GB every week, which is not nice for your transfer and my time. -Should i sync instead? If the backup is ‘incremental only with no markers or history’ it would be nice to know by the manual. Another thing i’ve noticed - .reg files are excluded due to ‘System and hidden file’ rule. Many people store registry exports in such files as documents… Maybe .reg is not that much ‘system file’?TIA
I recently purchased a new Dell 8940 and since then my Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete refuses to load up at start-up, I have uninstalled it and re-installed it 3 times and still it is not working. This is the first time I have every had any problems with Webroot in all the many years I have been using it. Please help without any mega technical talk, I would hate to find something other than Webroot after all these years.
Under Utilities>System Control, I saw that a file named ‘Search.exe’ had a possible leak. Before researching what ‘Search.exe’ actual is/does, I accidentally blocked it instead of clicking on ‘Monitor”. Now, I am unable to click on my ‘Type here to search’ in my searchbox. Does anyone know how I can re-enable the ‘Search.exe’ file/program so I can get my ability to search files, programs etc??
Today, Webroot CPU usage and memory spiked to 75 and 90 percent making my PC unusable. I rebooted and it got worse. I can only have 1 tab open in my browser at a time now or 1 app open. I tried everything to get rid of it and it’s only taking up more CPU and memory. Please help. Things I’ve tried:Uninstalling via Control Panel : this launches the uninstaller, but doesn't actually do anything.Running "C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\WRSA.exe" –uninstall: Same behavior as above.Running "C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\WRSA.exe" –uninstall in safe mode: This actually launched the install process asking for a valid key?Deleting "C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\" : says WRSA.exe is in use so it won't delete. Tried this in Safe Mode also.Killing WRSA.exe with Process Explorer AS ADMIN: access denied error.Terminating WRSA.exe with Process HackerRunning a Webroot uninstall script
Yes I have opened a support ticket before (last year) and followed all the instructions I have seen in this forum. The problem persists. Yes I have contacted customer support recently → NO RESPONSEYes I have opened yet another ignored support ticketYes I have rebooted in safe mode to try to uninstall → IT DOES NOT WORKI need a HUMAN on the PHONE to deal with this issue once and for all because at this point it’s not protecting my devices and it is preventing me from getting real internet security software to do that. This product worked swimmingly for me in 2018 - 19. But since then it has taken a gigantic nosedive. There are so many customers with the same complaints over the years and so little has changed. You need to FIX the issue!
So first off I have the receipt on my email for my most current purchase of Webroot this was back in I think November. I forgot my password and I am going on 3 hours of no email to the email account to reset password. Webroot isn’t blocked, and its not going to spam or any other folders. This is an issue because Windows defender decided to activate its self sometime in the last 2 months and turn my webroot off and now not only am I unable to get defender to shut off permanently, I can’t get webroot to uninstall using command prompt, run command or other means, I cant get it to open or turn back on. And when I redownload it I also can’t get it to run from the downloaded folder. (this is the only thing that wont run when I download) Not sure what to do at this point suggestions would be great!
Can Not Use Webroot On Laptop Or Desktop Computers Using Windows 10 And Windows Defender Antivirus Software
Good Day,I have had an issue for months regarding using Webroot on multiple computers that run Windows 10 and Windows Defender Antivirus Software. I can no longer use Webroot on these devices.Windows Defender is the only Antivirus Software I can use. Webroot will no longer open & I can not turn it on exclusively run as my Antivirus of choice or with Windows Defender. I have even tried to re-download the installer and it will not execute it. Please let me know if there is a solution to resolve this issue with using your software. Thank you.
