Webroot System Analyzer is noting that DWM.exe could have a possible memory leak. Is there a way to dig into this further or find the section of the logs from Webroot that captures the details? I was wondering if we could submit this to Microsoft for further analysis? Additionally, if Webroot sees a large number of these, it could be helpful for the Webroot to have a liaison position that reports to Microsoft what they are seeing. While I am sure that every low-level modification brings the risk of introducing a memory leak, it would be helpful to offer this feedback to Microsoft (e.g. C or C++ can often allow for memory leaks if garbage collection is not handled properly). Or if it is a false-positive with the Webroot System Analyzer it would be good to modify the analyzer with Microsoft’s feedback.Edit: clarified a run-on sentence above.
Hey, I’ve wanted to use LastPass for a while. I waited, as the option for it has said: “Password Manager Powered by LastPassYour keycode has now expired.” And just gave me an option to renew.I didn’t want to renew until my last day, so I didn’t waste any days I had left before I renewed.Today I renewed for three years [Complete for 5 devices]But, still the LastPass section on https://my.webrootanywhere.com/home Says the same: Password Manager Powered by LastPassYour keycode has now expired. And I still have no way to do anything but go to ‘renew’ - I have over 1k days left of my new subscription.I thought maybe I couldn’t use LassPass because I only tried to with around 20 days left of my previous webroot ‘subscription’I’m sure I am being thick. But how do I start using LassPass, as it’s one of the reasons I renewed with webroot as I was looking forward to using itThanks for any helpx
I’m trying to deactivate some old computers that are still listed on my account. The page telling me how to do this (https://docs.webroot.com/us/en/home/wsa_website_userguide/wsa_managementwebsite_userguide.htm#UsingPCSecurity/DeactivatingPCs.htm?Highlight=deactivate) says very clearly that the security panel has three menus: “About,” “Scan Information,” and “Commands.” I need to use the “Commands” option to deactivate a machine. However, my security panel only has two menu options for each machine. The “Commands” option, which is precisely the one I need, is missing. How can I deactivate an old machine?
My scans always note a green alert that “new updates available need to be installed.: But it never tells me which ones and when I check the program versions, they all seem to be current. How can I find out what updates the scan is referring to? I have Windows 7, but I can’t update that as no longer supported. Thanks.
Hi, My son is playing Fortnite and for playing tournaments, he is using a 3rd party program called War Legends. Whenever I try to download and install it, Webroot flags it as containing virus. I googled the program and came across an official statement from the company, stating the files do not contain any virus.Ok, I thought I will just allow the file in both the download folder and installation folder. I did so in Webroot “block/allow” and I also whitelisted the installation folder and the .exe file in said folder. However, on a daily basis, I have to manually restore the file from the installation folder because Webroot flagged and removed it. The whitelist file/folder I put in, are also gone and the file I allowed is back to being blocked.I submitted both the downloaded file and the .exe file through webroot, but is there a way I can keep webroot of the installation folder and installed file? It’s getting annoying that I have to do this every day./Mikael
I’m not sure about renewing Webroot, but all my passwords are on my webroot-LastPass account. Wouldn’t want to lose any of that! So, what happens to my webroot-LastPass account if my webroot subscription expires? Can I just subscribe to LastPass directly?
I have received information regarding the software on my system:A large number of temporary files have been found (248MB - Windows/IE only) An active process has a possible memory leak (firefox.exe) An active process has a possible handle leak (Dropbox.exe).Should I be concerned? How do I go about resolving the issue? Thanks in advance!
For some reason today, my attempt(s) return the following error:Not all analysis routines could be completed because System Analyzer couldn't connect online. The major addition to my life is the fact that Microsoft Edge made behind-the-scene changes to Edge while I slept overnight. The error is bizarre because it always remains consistent even if I run System Analyzer while I am CONNECTED online!
After installing Webroot, I was no longer able to access Google Chrome. I added chrome.exe as “allow” under PC Security which now lets me open a chrome browser. However, I am not able to access any links in Microsoft Outlook. I’m not even able to access the “Visit User Guide” or “Learn More” in the Webroot app itself. The cursor just spins for a moment then ….nothing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi there Just a random Q here, when purchasing the software, the extra Software CD is that necessary? I have a laptop with no cd drive, but I figure it would be for desktops later on for extra users. So, is it a physical cd or just the software download? Just want to find out if I should get the extra Software CD or not. Hope this makes sense lol. Thanks
Sooner or later I know I will have to get a new phone. I could even drop it, lose it or who knows, or it could just fail unexpectedly. I know at some point Webroot had me set up 2 factor authentication using Google authenticator. Maybe it’s required for when you login to your console. I don’t remember. Or maybe I activated it on my own. I don’t recall. But I don’t think so. It wasn’t until just recently that I really understood what it was all for (using an app like this. I understood what the text messages were for.In any case, I’m wondering what you have to do to move it to a new phone. Every time when I’ve gotten a new phone, they moved the number to the new phone and then the old one quit working. So I’m wondering how you manage this… for when the day finally comes.I’m wondering the same thing about google accounts as well.Thanks.
I am developing Visual Studio C# applications. When I rebuild the projectand run it in debug mode, the debugger will not step into the project because it’s trying to load WRDll.x86.dll symbols. If I run the project without debugging, it runs fine. And if I wait a period of time , I can run the project in debugger mode, but as soon as I recompile the project, it gives me the message that it’s trying to load WRDLL.x86.dll and won’t step into the debugger. It’s as if Webroot detects the project as a new executable and won’t run it in the debugger, but then after a period of time (30 minutes or an hour) it allows it to run in the debugger.Or it is as if there’s a background process in WebRoot that hangs, and causes Visual Studio debugger to not work, and when the process terminates or get recycled, then Visual Studio works.Any idea how to fix this strange problem?I’m using Visual Studio 2013, Update 4
Hello, I have been a WR user for many years so when it was time to get a new code for all our computers I did not hesitate. I have updated all the computers and phones but now about every 30 minutes there is a pop up about a new WebRoot user agreement. I have tried rebooting, opening it and scrolling through it and turning off the application and restarting but the problem persists on all of the Windows 10 devices. What is the solution, it is very annoying especially when I am in the middle of something and it pops up?
Webroot LastPass on chrome has been working for a long time and then today I noticed that the icon was missing. I thought it was hidden, but when I go to extensions the only webroot extension I see if the webroot filtering. Did it get removed for some reason? I know I didn’t remove it.And if I have to reinstall it, how do I do it? I find instructions on how to set LastPass up but absolutely no instructions on how to add it to the different browsers... unless I’m just missing it.I went to the Chrome Playstore and I can find LastPass, but no Webroot LassPass. Do I use the one called LastPass only or is there another one that I am suppose to use? And how do it find it in the PlayStore? Or where am I suppose to go to get it?Thanks.
Trying to access a message from webroot support but the link just takes me to a login for my account where there is no new message. The password and email sent in the original link from support doesn’t work. No way to access the new information without opening a new ticket. Why the original ticket was closed, I have no idea.Frustrating to have an answer from support after 4 days of waiting and you cannot access it!

I was having trouble recently with Google Chrome not starting properly, usually taking 4 or more attempts for it to actually start and then having multiple instances shown as running in task manager. I uninstalled and reinstalled it but that didn’t help. I’m not a very sophisticated user, I should add. I took every app off my startup list, but that didn’t help either. I did notice there are a ton of items showing in task manager, most of which I can’t identify.I tried yesterday to contact webroot support and got someone posing as Webroot tech support after I called a number that appeared to be on a Webroot webpage. That was the stupid part. The guy took over my computer using teamviewer and messed around for almost an hour. Eventually, he told me I had numerous errors from multiple apps and needed updates and cleanup. I was getting suspicious, but the guy was pretty good at faking the role. Then he wanted to sell me a firewall which I declined and wanted to charge me for clea
