It's time to renew. Question, thru the renew link the price is more than double what i paid for the program initialy. That just don't sit well with me. i can however buy it straight out for what i bought my current for. if i purchase the standalone (skipping high priced rewewel) i assume i will get a new key. Can that be entered into my current at that point or will i have to reinstall entire program. Thanks Edit - By the way, I bought current version at webroot for $29.99 yet the renewel is showing me $70 plus. I can purchase again at webroot for $29.00 as i just added it to my cart yet im concerned there would be a license issue or a renewel issue plugging in new code to my current. My current keycode is being used on 5 systems so im confused on how to handle this. Anyhelp is appreciated. Thanks
How to apply a newly purchased product key code to an existing keycode that is expiring soon?
My current subscription is about to expire, so I purchased a new copy. How do I apply (or add) the days on the new keycode to the existing one? I also want to do so without losing the 20 days I still have left on the existing subscription. Thanks
Hello USA;) Last night, while I was working on my PC, the screen became black then blue or even reverse (sorry for this lack of precision but it was very late and I had drunk too much of French wine:D) and then my PC was rebooted automatically! Is it a virus ? That's the Windows error report:
Hello. I've had trouble since downloading and installing Webroot. I've set up my account, software is installed and I can't use it because I'm unable to confirm the registration. I get to the point when I'm asked to enter the fourth and sixth (or whatever, since it's random) number of the security code. I set up my "security code" and when I input what I believe to me to be my security code I'm given an error. "Error(UCR102):Invalid credentials, please re-enter" Upon reentering I get the same, then timed out and told to try again in 15 minutes. I'd like to keep Webroot, but since I'm unable to use what I paid for I just want a refund. Just tired of dealing with theissue. I bought this online, but there's no contact phone number for customer service.
WebRoot Freezing Up During Security Scan - Should I Be Concerned?
This has happened to me a couple of times in the last week, and I wanted to know if it was something I should be concerned about. When I run the recommended deep scan, WebRoot freezes up when it reaches 81% completion. The system events counter will continue to increase, but the actual progress of the scan appears to halt. If I try to run another scan during this time, it will make it to 100% without any problem. If left alone, the scan will eventually unfreeze (although the total scan time may take 6 or 7 minutes as opposed to under 1 minute under normal cisrcumstances). Even when it doesn't freeze up, there often seems to be a "pause" when it reaches 81%. I also ran a Full Scan to see what would happen. It scanned slowly, as expected, but once it reached about 80% or 81%, it quickly finished and informed me that the scan was finished. I haven't experienced any other problems on my computer, but I wanted to ask about this just to see if it was anything to worry about. Th
New Version of Complete
Has anyone else had any issues with the newest version update? Since downloading and installing the newest version, my laptop has slowed to a crawl. It has even become difficult to type because the system struggles to keep up with me and lags behind. I have submitted a support ticket and am just waiting on a reply. All of my scans are coming up negative for anything infecting the system. Just wondering if this is something isolated to just me.
Heuristics "Warn when any new program... not whitelisted" broken
Hi! The heuristic option "Warn when any new program executes that is not specifically whitelisted" is not working on my end. I have a fresh install of Windows 10 Redstone x64. Programs that aren't whitelisted are allowed to execute without any warning. Here's a video showing the issue: https://vimeo.com/183446232 Glad for any help or feedback I can get.

Webroot not blocking in chrome
Hi, I am very new here. I've had webroot a while but recently I have been having trouble with chrome. I have read all the reports about the green check marks next to searches which is happening to me... but I also read that it should still block potentially harmful websites. I went to a website that I know webroot blocks but it didn't block it in chrome. In other browsers it still brings up the warning but in chrome it allows me to go to the website. Is this also a common issue right now in addition to the green checkmarks disappearing?
Scan function not working?
Hi Webroot community! I'm hoping you can help me with something, as this has never happened to me before and I've been using Webroot for at least 5 years. For about a week, my Webroot hasn't been able to perform its automatic daily scan. When I attempt to perform a manual scan, it freezes at 0%, saying it's checking for rootkits. The program itself doesn't freeze, but the scan never goes beyond 0%. I haven't noticed anything strange going on aside from not being able to scan, so I hope the program's still doing its other duties in the meantime. Is there anything I can do about this? I'd really like to be able to scan again for peace of mind's sake. Thanks for your time! I really appreciate it.
Will entry of a new keycode add a year, or start a new year losing the rest of my current licence?
I have a 3-seat licence which will end in a couple of weeks' time. I have a new keycode for the 3-seat product which I assume should renew my licence for another year. If I enter the code before the end of the current period, will this ADD a year to my current licence, or simply start a new year at that point, thus losing the remainder of my current licence?
I have been doing a lot of searching about this and have found that this systempropertiesremote.exe has this potential if infected. It can be placed in two different locations one is OK the other one is not. Here's what its capable of doing. This was found in a search for the systempropertiesremote.exe virus. Spyware Infection Spyware is a latest type of computer threat; spywares can be installed in the computer in wide variety of ways. I'm here...and unhappy!
Frankly, after terribad experiences at Microsoft Answers and T-Mobile's community forums, both of which were "kudos forums", I promised myself I would never, ever actively join another "kudos forum" again. I told TH this. Well...the fact that I'm here shows you how desperate I am for a solution. I am aware, thanks to TH (very appreciative for that generous man), that some of the mods/admins on here know of my situation. I'm the guy that decided to use Backup & Sync two weeks ago, and still can't, courtesy of some weird database issue. I finally got in touch with an Escalation Engineer, and now it's the weekend. So apparently he's off. Joe, who normally is "the problem solver", is traveling. He's a busy guy now. I get that. Unfortunately, I'm about out of patience. I'm sick of this. If I have to bite the bullet and uninstall Windows Live Mesh and move on to SkyDrive, I will. But good lord just tell me now. As much as I don't want to use another
"Sign In" language
Hello, At work I'm using Vista pro 32 bits and IE9 + Chrome + Firefox. With all these browsers I can use "Sign In" with French language. At home I'm using Windows 10 and only IE11, but it's impossible for me to use "Sign In" with French language. I have selected the French language and then restart my PC but "Sign In" language is always English. Is it an issue? Thanks. Stop the pop ups!
It truly baffles me when a PC security software maker fails to understand why people purchase their software. The recent pop-ups have turned my mostly good experience with Webroot into a horrible one where I am left with the choice of either accepting the problem or uninstalling the software for good. What I am talking about are the purportedly "informational" messages that have recently been popping up, taking focus away from anything and everything else that I am doing in order to tell me something that should be, and in fact is sent in email. I cannot turn them off, and if I am doing something full screen (such as a game), it will actually drop me out of the game in order to show me the message. Some examples include the recent "Windows 10" message and the more current "Security report" message. These messages show up once every 24 hours with no way of turning them off. Enough is enough. The definition of "malware" is software that is inte
About all I can say is -- why me? :} So I turned on my new laptop this afternoon just to see what's up. I had installed and configured Webroot Complete 2 days ago. Now, my Webroot install was -- gone. I mean there was NO trace of the program -- no icons, files, directories -- nothing. Like it had never existed. A quick contact with support and within just a few minutes I had a return email with a link to a new install file. Once again, it is installed and running and I *GREATLY* appreciate their super quick response. However, there was no indication as to what might have happened. Has anyone here experienced the same or know of it happening? I'm thinking it's not a good thing for my protection app to go on vacation like that. Certainly not without letting me know. Phil
Closing account and transfering key to new account?
Is it possible for webroot tech supoort to close my current account and then I could create a new account with a new e mail address and transfer my current Secure Anywhere Complete key to the new account? Reason I kind of would like to do this is because on my account page the Backup and Password icons are orange and say "Your keycode has now expired. To continue accessing Backups please renew your keycode now, or your data may be lost." This has happen because I had tech support change my current key from an international key one to a local USA key one. I relize its only a cozmedic glitch but it kind of bothers me :( lol
I can't login into the Webroot Password Manger extension
I got on Google Chrome earlier and I noticed the new Webroot extension that was added to the browser. Only problem is, I can't login because it states that the E-Mail is unknown which is impossible because I already registered and reset my password 2 times. Any ideas?
Turning off the firewall?
I am running a fantastic hardware firewall on my network. I do not lke to use redundant firewalls by having software firewalls on my computers as well. I noticed that if I turn the firewall off in WSA that the notification bar button will contanstly show the warning exclamation point because a security feature is turned off. Is there a way to prevent the icon from doing that while having the firewall turned off?
