I keep getting told that I have this backdoor trojan. It will be removed and then found again. I am confident that it is not in my system. The services that must be stopped in order to remove it are not present. Is this a known issue? I cna find info about it on other malware removal sites, but not with Webroot. If I get continual false positives, I will not continue to use or recommend this product. I have run clean scans with several other providers. I am running on OS X Mountain Lion.
I am a premium LastPass user. I don't remember having WR's version enabled ever. Yet when I press ALT G, I get WR's version of generate a password. How can I disable WR's version? If I look at my identity, the button 'setup account now' is visible. Doesn't that confirm that I have never setup a WR password manager account?
The official newest password manager extension (3.1.1) in Firefox is Not Happy™. Like not-operational for all intents and purposes. This can be fixed temporarily by using the "Toolbarfix.exe" tool, which installs an OLDER version of the extension that actually works. Very temporarily. As soon as Webroot notices it's old, it updates it. So when will this be fixed with a permanent fix?
Ok So Password Manager icon is now back in the tool bar But anytime I log into one of my Hotmail/outlook accounts…. I don’t get Webroot autofill helping me [or remembering] – it looks like a windows/outlook box It says it will store the password – for future attempts to auto login But it doesn’t work And I never see the Webroot ‘tick’ to remember green box at the top of the screen This is since I re downloaded [to find the icon in the tool box again] Webroot Anyway to get it back to how it was? As then I just had to scroll [through the options] in a Webroot window [for which email account] and it would auto fill / log in Thanks again for any help
Just want to say that I got my problem fixed. Someone answered my earlier post and I did not know it. Did not receive email that there was a reply. That answer fixed my problem with password manager not showing up in fire fox. Thank you and thank goodness I decided to look back at other posts .. noticed mine .. and saw 1 reply. The perfect reply! Yea!
Hi Everyone, Since earlier this week, the webroot extension has not been working. All it keeps saying is that This extension requires Webroot SecureAnywhere to be installed and running. I already do have Webroot secure anywhere installed and it is active. How can I fix it? I also noticed that Webroot hasn’t been scanning my computer. I need to know how to fix that too. Thank you in advance!
New to Webroot and new to Mac. Webroot System Analyzer identifies problems...ie:Time Machine Backup not enabled, high amount of RAM used by processes, large number of open files, firewall disabled, Gatekeeper disabled. How do I fix these things? Prior to Webroot I used Iobit and it fixed problems automatically or guided me through the process. I don't seem to have this option on Webroot. What do I do?
INTRUSIVE I am angry. You are blocking the website and the installation.. BACK OFF!! I need this program. There are things I am required to do that won't work without it. I am angry right now.. I guess I need a different AV.. ONE that will NOT block this installation!! I have followed YOUR links.. IT will NOT allow me to do what I need to do. I recently got an email regarding writing a review on WSAC and I did. Today I got an email alert that it got published. Gald to know that , and glad to be able to show my love for this wonderful software in my own words.
User Account Control pops up a message every time the PC starts asking if I want to allow Webroot SecureAnywhere to make changes to the computer. Following suggestions posted here, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. The program at first refused to uninstall, although Webroot online said it was uninstalled. I tried uninstalling using both the Webroot program link and Windows 7 programs and features. I also ran CleanWDF more than once. The only thing that prevented the popup was manually deleting WRSA.exe. However, after reinstalling, the popup is back. What can be done about this nuisance? Thank you.
I deleted by mistake all log files in WRData folder including its sub-folders (Pkg, Sync, wrUrl). :S From the nature of log files I don't think it should cause troubles but you never know and hence I rather ask. BTW, WSA including Backup&Sync and Password manager works fine. How it could happen, easily ... I created a custom rule in CCleaner and forgot to exclude WRData folder. :@ Thanks for your thoughts.
Webroot will not allow me to download and execute the latest version of Adobe Flash. I even disabled "Web Shield" and down loaded the update. When I executed the update Webroot again stopped the process. Now Aadober Flash does not work at all. Help.
