When performing some cleanup I just noticed that I have a large number of processes listed under Active Connections. This is unusual as I normally have but a handful. I have uninstalled WR and reinstalled which seemed to work at first but is now beginning to add more and more programs to the list. I would very much appreciate any info or insights anyone may have. Thanks much! Joseph
How to I get past the signin for creating a ticket? I enter my email address and then it prompts for a password. I enter the password but nothing happens except the password entry is erased. Each screen has a button to enable cookies. I click the button each time before making an entry, but nothing works. I have tried different browsers (Firefox, Google Chrome) with the same result.
Using Webroot V188.8.131.52 Windows 10 2004 and Google Chrome latest version. I have noticed if I click on access web console or Get customer support from the webroot interface nothing happens, the webpage no longer opens. If I shut down webroot and restart without restarting my pc it works. Also if I change the windows default browser to another all works fine. Anyone else able to replicate this issue?
Sorry to bother, but I spent 2 days trying to find a solution here as I haven’t gotten a response from the message I sent to Customer Support. Any help will be much appreciated with the following issues: Account Activation Needed appears periodically and when I activate it, I am sent to the create a new account page. Program itself indicates that my status is active & recognizes the keycode that I used to renew. Web Console will let me log in, but immediately logs me out back to the log in page. No error codes are indicated When trying to reach customer support, I am prompted with message that wants a password as they have already reached me, but I have not received any emails from them nor have I gotten an email when I clicked “forgot password” ( I check my spam and blocked email contact list to see if there was a problem there) By the way, I really like using Webroot and know the issues I have can be corrected. I have a feeling I created havoc when I didn’t renew my acc
Hi there, I have been using Webroot for a while now, and mostly I find it a nice addition to my security suite, however one BIG problem I have comes from the Identity protection module. When ever I am playing online games that rely on keystroke input, if I tab to another window and tab back in, my game will process several key inputs that I did not play, the biggest offenders for this are World of Warcraft and Destiny 2, but I have seen the problem with other mmos and online games. Specifically it seems this issue is to do with the way identity protection encrypts keystrokes, turning off identity protection completely resolves the issue, however, since I am paying for software with one of its main selling points being identity protection I would appreciate a better solution. Yes I have made exceptions for the game exe files and such as the first line support will suggest, I have tested this with multiple games and with multiple combinations of software running in the backgroun
Hi, Firefox updated to version 77.0 yesterday, I then checked for add on updates one of which was the Webroot filtering extension. To enable this I was asked to input keycode, however I’m left with a spinning circle on trying to register. after leaving this for over 5 minutes I closed Firefox on re-opening the icon is no longer loading,an I covered?.
Hi, Our website https://buyacoronavirusmask.com is blocked by webroot and marked as a phishing site. This is a legitimate website and its sole purpose is to sell face masks. I have already submitted Url Classification Change Request -- Support Ticket Number: 542095 at BrightCloud Data Update. Could you please review this and let me know how to get this website removed from blacklist ?
Our PCs were setup with Webroot SecureAnywere Internet Console. Unfortunately, we do not recall the security code, nor are we able to remember security question. When we try to delete the software on each PC using the Windows 10 app/program process for deleting apps/programs, it says we need to do this via the Webroot web console. Since we cannot access the web console, we are stuck. Is there any other way to delete the software on PCs? I’ve tried working with product support via a ticket, and they told me to call. I did, but unfortunately, there’s at least a 30 minute wait time to get to a Tech Support person. Due to the Covid-19 situation, our small business will be closing. As their tech support, I was asked to “cleanup” the PCs so we can sell them. Short of a complete Windows 10 reinstall, I am not able to do this with the Webroot software. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help - Rick
While purchasing the subscription, I have received errors for both Paypal and card payments, and then the subscription failed. I tried it once again and it returned with the same errors. Twice my money got deducted, but not subscribed. I have 2 transaction proofs. For both the transactions money has been deducted from my bank account to Webroot security. It has been more than 72 hours and the money has not reverted back. Please help me to get the subscription for one time the amount got deducted and refund the duplicate amount that has been deducted.

Tonight I renewed my WSA licence. I tried to enter the new code on the previous version and the app kept crashing so I clicked on download from the email. It downloaded the wsamac.dmg files. I clicked on it and tried to open Webroot. It will not open. There is an icon on the bottom task bar and when I click on it, it does nothing. If I click on WebrootSecureAnywhere (on the top menu bar) nothing happens. There is no drop down menu. It does nothing when I click on it. Can someone direct me what to do to uninstall this thing and hopefully try again otherwise I’ve wasted money on something I can’t fix. I’m not exactly tech savvy but I know enough to hopefully follow directions to fix this. All other articles have said to Click on the top menu and click on uninstall. I do not have that option. I’ve put the application in the trash several times and every time I try again it won’t open. Thanks inadvance.
We received a popup warning from our Webroot that it is infected. How is this possible? We’ve run deep scans, Windows Defender, and downloaded and run the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool. Even though Webroot eventually showed 2 threats removed, the warning shows up again. Now what?
Hi, i’m stuck in a frustrating loop. I need help resetting my 2FA, since i lost my device… choosing ‘lost device’ redirects me to a link requiring to answer three questions i cannot remember setting… and below that it says: need help? Contact support. But you can only get support AFTER login, which i cannot do, obviously. Reaching support by phone is not possible… so now what? Any ideas? In short: i’m stuck on step 6 of this post: https://community.webroot.com/general-security-information-102/how-to-access-your-console-when-your-smart-device-is-missing-and-2fa-is-enabled-340981 Kind regards, Jevos
Our subscription was automatically renewed several days ago and since then the Webroot on each device is returning a message that the keycode is expired and would we like to renew. Saying yes to the option simply takes us to the browser page for payment for a new product. The keycode in our main web console is showing as active with 360+ days left. I tried uninstalling Webroot on my PC and then re-installing and of course when it asks for the keycode it is coming up with the same expired message. I have started a ticket with Webroot support but not getting any response - what can i do from here?
When I run the System Optimizer, Webroot deletes my selected Quick Access folders and replaces them with the default WIN10 Quick Access folders. I have looked through all Webroot settings to stop this from happening but haven’t had any success. Is there a way to keep the System Optimizer from deleting Quick Access folders? I would like to keep my Quick Access folders undisturbed. Thanks!
Hi WR Team, I hope all is well. I ran into this test online and I would just like to get your opinion on tests like these. The tester even admitted that he’s not aware of how Webroot does things. He scans a folder of malware samples and from my understanding not all of the samples were detected/eliminated. Which is why he runs a secondary scanner with detected files. Knowing that Webroot doesn’t focus too much on dormant files (which is essentially harmless until executed), this is pretty expected. I would like to bring to your attention the ransomware portion. Is there something the tester did/didn’t do to why the ransomware wasn’t prevent? PS. I love Webroot. I love the utilities and the concept behind this product. I also want to support this product especially since its based in US. I’m bringing this test to your attention because I want to see the product evolve and improve. Hope this helps grow and improve this awesome product. Cheers.
I have tried for over a week to get Webroot Support to respond to my problem. Its been about a a year since using the web console, and I am unable to recall the security code. Our owner has decided that if Webroot will not respond, we need to cancel our subscription and remove the software. However, it appears you need to get to the web console to remove the Webroot software from each PC. Anyone know how to a) get Support to respond to tickets submitted (5 times in the last week), and b) delete Webroot account if you can’t log into the web console?
Hi WR Team/Community, I hope all is well. So there’s something I noticed when adding Edge Chrome to the app protection under the ID shield of WRSA. Every time there’s a new update to Edge, you need to manually add Edge Chrome again to the app protection. I have a feeling this is Edge being weird but it has happened 3 times already on 2 different computers. Can you guys take a look into this? Thank you.
I’m trying to create a LastPass account. My WebRoot console has a “Manage Passwords” button which takes me to a LastPass account setup page. But when I click on the “Get Started” link and enter my WebRoot credentials (as it requests), it won’t accept them. Instead, I get “Please review the information you entered and try again.” What’s up?
