Anytime Microsoft Office updates, it looses it's association with it's files for instance opening an excel file from the desktop or another folder path. If I disable webroot and run a repair, or before running office update, this does not happen. I noticed someone else having the issue (https://community.webroot.com/webroot-secureanywhere-complete-14/6-hours-with-microsoft-support-to-find-out-webroot-blocks-excel-registry-changes-325731#post325799) but does not seem to be a fix listed. Thanks in advance.
So I dont know if this has been brought up but my antivirus started constantly asking to allow anything to connect. Open explorer popup. Open netflix popup. Open steam poput etc... etc....Its really annoying. Ive tried changing settings and still does it. Can somebody please help me get rid of this issue. Or is this a bug of some sort. Also added picture of the constant popups.
HI all, Having an issue with Device Maintence on my Samsung 7. Keeps telling me since the newest Verizon/Android update that SecureAnywhere is overloading the system. The phone is draining battery very fast and getting hot on a random 3-4 hour basis. I have done the following: checked for latest updates for both the phone and webroot, and uninstalled and reinstalled webroot. Please let me know if you have a solution.
It's been 4 days since I reported my passwords are missing from the transition from WR/LastPass to the LastPass interface. WR support says they can't help and LastPass won't let you speak with anyone, the only thing you can do is log a ticket. My ticket has said "Pending" for 4 days now. I am speechless. Is there anything anyone can do to help?
I keep receiving a pop up on my Android phone saying SecureAnywhere has stopped. Phone is an HTC 10 running Android 8.0.0 and SecureAnywhere Mobile Complete. My choices are Open app again or Send feedback. If I choose open app again the pop will come back in about 10 seconds. I've been running Webroot and this phone for a couple of years now and never had a problem. The pop ups started just a couple of days ago. Should I uninstall and reinstall? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Crazy Bizarre Experience accessing Google Play Store Website with Windows 10 PC Running WSA Complete
My Android phone and Android tablet have the bad Webroot v.18.104.22.168995 update. I've been monitoring the situation here in the Community and also at the Google Play Store Webroot Mobile website which I access with my Windows 10 desktop PC. Nothing unusual ever occurred during the many days of the bad update saga. But today at the Webroot Mobile Android Play Store web page accessed with my PC, suddenly without warning or notice of any kind, something caused McAfee Security Scan Plus to be installed on my PC and it automatically ran a security scan!!!!!!!! BIZARRE. I took screenshots and can post them here if necessary to prove my claim. I checked my PC's Windows list of installed software and the McAfee is listed, and the desktop shortcut it installed points to C:\Program Files\McAfee Security Scan\3.11.968 I also examined the Webroot Mobile for Android web page, and there wasn't any mention or link to any McAfee anything. Also, the WSA Complete for Windows running on my PC did
I have a new KeyCode in operation, but an old KeyCode (now expired) will not go away: the Password Manager from that old KeyCode continues to insist, on the Console: "Your keycode has now expired. To continue accessing Passwords please renew your keycode otherwise your data may be lost." On each computer, on the Webroot settings box, under PassWord Manager, I am told "Password Manager is not Active", when I tell it to "activate" it tries, but Safari intervenes to tell me it does not approve of that one, I should try another Manager. I tried to install LastPass, and did, but I cannot connect it to Webroot, and Webroot continues to insist I need to renew that old expired KeyCode, and I need to activate Password Manager, which Safari blocks. This ought to be merely a bad dream, but I keep waking up and here it still is. Several helpers at Webroot Support tried several things, none have worked so far. I'm waiting on a call from the last helper who was trying to get someone o
I have a premium account for LastPass and a Premium account for Webroot Secure Anywhere. Now that these two companies have come together within the product known as Webroot Secure Anywhere should I when it comes to renewal of my Lastpass account let it lapse and then take up the offer of using LassPass within Webroot Secure Anywhere? Also is the LastPass product within Secure Anywhere the same as the LastPass Premium product that I already have?
My wife and I have been getting several of these warnings for the last week or so - on religious (Catholic) sites we have visited for years, with no problems. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know exactly what "not secure" means, in this context? For example, the site http://www.usccb.org - home page of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
I ve got Webroot SecureAnywhere® Internet Security Complete. Every time WBR scans my pc, it reports back at the end of the scan that 1 threat was removed. I checked Quarantine, found an old threat and deleted it. HOWEVER, WBR keeps on reporting 1 threat removed in subsequent scans, through Quarantine remains clean. Tried a Malwarebytes scan too and it's all clean...
1) How do I find out which threat was removed? 2) Is it possible that the threat which keeps being removed is the same threat, which is not actually being removed? 3) If the response to the previous question is YES, then how do I remove it?
A couple of days ago, "Webroot Secure Anywhere" began chewing up the battery on my Android phone. I depleted my 100% charge down to almost nothing in a couple of hours and my my phone got hot. I look at my battery log and it says that it is that app that is causing it. I uninstalled the app and the battery consumption resumed a normal pattern. After an hour or so I reinstalled the app. For the next hour and a half it was fine, then kicked back in sucking my battery dry. My phone is only a couple of months old. Has anybody else experienced this? Is there a solution??
Been with Webroot for over 6 years now. I have done this now each time. I was told this round though to call Sales... Which I did and told they don't add time to current keycodes. Said yet they have, done it many time.. reply was "no we haven't, never have... yet I wont argue with you about it"... he wasn't being rude, just matter of fact attitude. Anyways, I take great dissatisfaction from this. As said this has been done so many times and the reason why I stay with webroot as the ease of it as some systems on my 5 license aren't easily accessible. So I ask, is there anyone that can do what has been done 5 or 6 times already without an issue. All has been great in the past with this very issue up until now. Thank you and I look forward to y our reply.

Hello all, It´s been quite a long time since I posted something. I have been a loyal Webroot customer for more than 10 years, since spysweeper and windows washer days. For the first time after so many years I will not be renewing my subscription. The root cause of this decision is the issue with the password manager, broken for several months and with no information from Webroot as to when this will be fixed. Webroot said by end of February should be fixed but it is 3/10 and still no news. Some other users asked again and received again an enigmatic radio silence. Perhaps this is related to the recent acquisition by Carbonite and any related matters. Some users are suggesting to use other clients such as Lastpass free version until a fix is released. That´s fine, but in my case is the lack of communication what is taking me to make this decision. It´s been several months and we do not get any message at all. I could be ok with a sort of ´Guys, sorry, but developing this is
Why would the same PC be listed 3 times in the console? The PC has a random name that either Dell or Microsoft gave the PC. I saw one of the 3 was just scanned today. That is the device I am using right now. The other two with the same name have not been scanned since October 2018. So can I safely delete them? And how would the same device get listed 3 times? Maybe when I had to uninstall/re-install? I think I had to do that twice. It also shows my cell phone being covered by my account, but I haven't installed it yet on that device. I would like to add it, but I wanted to make sure I had a free seat. Mobile devices use a seat right? Thanks
