Why does my scan last only seconds. That doesn't sound like a deep clean. Am I scheduling wrong?

When my scheduled scan starts, it only takes seconds to complete.  I think my scheduling is wrong.  I thought it would do a deep scan.  How do I fix my settings to get a deep scan?
