Is there anything as users that we can do to help?
For now, it doesn't get that far, as i can't install it.  Build 9879 is blocking wsainstall.exe via the Program Compatibility Assistant.
Yes, odd's the word.

I just spun up 2 VMs this evening, both 64-bit.  One is a clean install of 9841, then upgraded to 9879.  The second is a clean install of 9879.  They both block wsainstall.exe.  The version of wsainstall I'm getting from my account portal is 8.0.6.28.  Is it possible that a different installer version works whereas this one doesn't?  Both of the those VMs use a different Live account, so it's not limited to that one Live account.

There must be something setup differently on your installs of Windows then?  Perhaps there are settings for the PCA?

No it's the same installer unless it's a Best Buy Sub from Geek Squad then you get it from here: http://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/geeksquad-dl

And I did a clean reinstall as every Win 10 Build Update it tells you to uninstall WSA then after the new Build is installed I install WSA again without issues I would say to contact support but since Win 10 Preview is not supported till it's released.maybe @ can give you some advice?

One thing I have to mention and have not tested it. I always turn off UAC and reboot on my PC's and VM's so you might want to try that! I personally have no use for UAC but it is good for 99% of users but some of us Advance users don't use UAC so it's just a thought to try and please let us know! And again Win 10 is not officially supported by Webroot but many of us have it installed on Win 10 Preview.

Just in case you don't know how to turn off or disable UAC: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/library/cc709691%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

Thanks,

Daniel 😉
During installation of Windows 10 technical preview Webroot was uninstalled. I am unable to install it due to the program compatibility assistant.

It's a Win 10 Preview issue I have looked at the Windows Community and seen nothing about this issue! What happens if you click Get Help Online?

How did you manage to get it done. I am installing build 9926 fresh on the system for first time trying Windows 10. Did you update to this build with Webroot already Installed?
Maybe the issue is with this build?

I'm using VMware Workstation so I create Virtual Machines and every Build I have to uninstall WSA and after the update I install WSA again so I don't know what's going on? https://www.vmware.com/products/workstation/features.html and @ I don't know what he's using? And @ Sherry has it working with the Builds before as she hasn't had a chance to install Win 7 Build 9926 and I think she is using the free version of VMware Player if you like try that! https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/free#desktop_end_user_computing/vmware_player/7_0

I had the same compatibility error message as noted here, after the Windows 10 upgrade to Build 9926 today.  Adjusting UAC did not resolve the issue.  So, out of curiosity, I tried re-downloading the installer and, even though it is the same name and size as the previously downloaded installer, the newly downloaded one worked without issue.  Hopefully someone else will be able to resolve their compatibility issue similarly.
Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

Yes but it's a Windows 10 Preview issue not WSA and WSA is not Officially supported on Win 10 Preview. And thanks for the info!

Would you mind contacting support with this one so that they can gather the logs and see what is going on?

@I would gladly do that. Can you provide support page link.
And since installation of WSAC I am getting constant BSOD with error
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (ntfs.sys)
There is a mention about webroot here.

Also explorer became slow.

I had uninstalled WSAC and now I am facing the same issue.
I am not able to install due to program incompatibility (with UAC disabled)
Also no BSOD since..

I think there is some issue with this installer download link
http://anywhere.webrootcloudav.com/zerol/wsainstall.exe
The setup I downloaded now gave the incompatibility error, but the one I downloaded yesterday is working fine!!

Yep, just go here:
https://www.webrootanywhere.com/servicewelcome.asp
Let them know you're on Windows 10.
The BSOD with error SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (ntfs.sys) I always get because the any new build needs to get the files Whitelisted and now it is for 64bit I will check the 32bit version soon!

Nope it did not help. I srongly guess it is Installer error.. somehow the setup downloaded is incomplete.
Why else would one copy of the same installer works and others do not.
Also Internet download manager is not downloading the installer for me from that link.

Also explorer becomes really slow for me at times. Becomes fast post uninstallation.

You are one in a few that it doesn't work well on and 99.9% of the Files have been Whitelisted for the 64bit version of Win 10 Preview 9926 now!

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Webroot Support.

We apologize, however, Windows 10 is not currently supported. Because this is a technical preview, we can't do much with it, until the full release.

If you have any further questions, please reply to this message.

Regards,
