In My Account on line, Security tab, it shows the devices protected under a given Keycode. For each, it shows the actual Device Name of that device. There is a pencil icon, which allows me to change that to a more convenient name (it shows the actual name, in smaller letters, below that). However, it then changes the name back to the default (i.e.: actual name of device). How do I prevent it from changing the name back?

Downloading and installing from the My Account3. Downloading and installing from the online console management websiteThe product I use is Webroot Internet Security Complete.Does anyone know a permanent fix to this issue?
It's sad that PC Magazine no longer rates Webroot as an Editor’s Choice due to poor ransomware protection.I still use Webroot and my siblings use it on my recommendation. But has its buyout by OpenText lead to a diminished performance?I am fully aware that Webroot uses a method that most AV certification companies can’t measure but it seems to be going downhill.
Just purchased a new 5 user license, enter OK on webroot console and correctly shows 365 days left. However the backup and sync buttons are no longer on the console. If I log into my Carbonite+Webroot online console, under backup it states I have no subscription. The webroot websites clearly state the license has 25Gb of stoarage included. Any ideas how I get it to work?

I got this popup below right after starting my pc, before starting any programs. It doesn't say what app this concerns, and I haven't installed any new apps. Is this related to the Windows store, or should I be concerned about malware?The popup has only appeared once, it didn't reappear when I restarted my pc.
Our webroot Secure Anywhere on an HP laptop running Windows 10 22H2 displays a warning message either upon restart or sometimes during normal operation of the laptop. Running a scan turns the icon Green. Here is the information as listed in the scan log. Does anyone have more information about this suspicious script detection and what should be the remediation I should perform to remove this from the laptop? The Total Security Complete App for my android phone is extremely difficult to manipulate and understand. It does not work anything like the Microsoft version. Not only does it look entirely different, but I cannot even figure out when the security expires.The old app which was somewhat different than the Microsoft version was much easier than the current app to navigate and fine information.With the new app you must add additional basic coverage such as password manager by totally resigning into that coverage although a basic coverage with the Total Security package.I ask why the change to the new app when the old one worked so much better and was easier to navigate. Please review and advise if this situation can be addressed.
I have a user who called in saying whenever they tried to play a video on a training site it wouldn’t play (they could skip ahead throughout the video but the play functionality appeared to be suspended), I fired up this page on a non Webroot computer and the video played just fine, after the uninstall process completed on the user’s computer they were able to play the videos. How do I whitelist this site for this customer?
I opened SecureAnywhere this evening to find that the usual cheerful green color of the app had turned into a sort of diarrhea brown.The app is giving me a dire warning that if my webroot expires then I will not be protected from all the ills of the world.It tells me my subscription runs out in 27 days. That's almost a month before I need to pay.It urges me to "Renew now to extend your protection period."Why?Do the marketing people think that subscribers are stupid enough to give them money a month before it's due?I don't mind a gentle reminder, say a week before payment is due.But this rather juvenile and thoroughly obvious attempt to scare me into paying early is, frankly, plain irritating.Just stop it.Everybody agree?
Frequently when Webroot does a scan on its own initiative (at least I think it’s a scan), I’m told there may be a memory leak, attributed, I believe, to Chrome. I just did a scan right after re-booting, and did not receive notification of a memory leak. But is scan the only function I should try? I seem to remember that there are other processes I could run. Are there? What else should I try? Thanks for your help.
My Key Code no longer works My username and password no longer work to log into my account on the web or when trying to open the app. In fact, the app no longer opens and requests my key code and then rejects it. I tried to make a new account and I get a error message that the page doesn’t exist. My mobile app works and correctly verifies that my account is paid through spring of 2024. There seems to be no way to send an email request for support to Webroot/Carbonite and the knowledge base is of no help. BTW, I paused my VPN through these steps to no avail. My app is Webroot SecureAnywhere - CompleteAnyone out there that can provide guidance? Thank you in advance,Shiah
This is a bit more complicated than the error message about Tor and XPCOM but it’s a major part. About four or five days ago I tried to open Tor Browser on one of my two laptops. Immediately, instead, a WebRoot message appeared that said it had detected a virus in XPCOM but (probably misremebering) only had one option and that was to delete the virus. From that point on every time opening Tor it began to open but then that error message Cannot Load XPCOM. Decided to delete Tor and reinstall it. In Win11 Settings I looked for it under Apps but nothing even close to Tor was listed. Looked for it in File Explorer but again no listing. Went back to the desktop and right clicked the Tor Browser and told WebRoot to completely erase it. Tried again for the Start Tor link. All of the Tor links are still there and work save for XPCOM. Tried to just download a new program but even that stopped at an XPCOM error. Tried to download the program file with a slightly different file name bu
HI, this MAY be a redundant question, though it is not exactly what I have yet read here.A month ago webroot sent me reminders that my account was to expire.I renewed it alnd paid.A week later I got a reminder from BestBuy it was to renew with my TotalTech membership.I called, and though I resolved it, but got a notice it renewed through BB. May I assume I will only pay the one time? Or must I wait to see if it shows up on an imy credit card statement (which I will likely not do because I have a crappy memory)) Thanks, Jenni
On windows, my Webroot tray icon recently showed an exclamation point, indicating I was infected. When I ran a scan, however, it came up empty. Similarly, when I tried to follow these instructions to save a threat log, the application told me the threat log was empty. The icon also no longer indicates there is any threat or infection.Is this something I need to worry about? Should I assume that my system is fine, or are there steps I should take?Thank you in advance.
Hello All,So, received VERY troubling news from Webroot Support and I could really use some guidance here. For the past 8 or 9 years I’ve been a webroot customer. The very first time I renewed I added a new keycode to my account, only find out that I lost all remaing days, and had to start all over setting up Backup. Come to find out that Webroot doesn’t work like most software and that I had actually replaced my account, not renewed it. So, every year since then I have purchased a new keycode and then asked support to add the time to my account, thus avoiding any hassles or lost days.Well, Webroot has informed that they won’t do that anymore…From Support… Unfortunately, we are unable to combine subscriptions in this manner. We would be able to do the reverse, however, and add the remaining days from your existing subscription.This should not cause any issues as far as your LastPass subscription goes, as you will just need to add the new keycode to your Carbonite + Webroot management
