Hello, I recently discovered that the gradually increasing size of my dive image files and decreasing SSD capacity were directly attributable to an enormous SecureAnywhere WRData folder. I contacted support and received the following response: “To start it fresh you can uninstall Webroot SecureAnywhere normally and then delete the WRData folder and restart your computer, then reinstall Webroot and there will be a new WRData folder.” I completed all steps as instructed. Between my November 20, 2013 reinstall and this post, the WRData folder has grown from a few megabytes to over 2.6 gigabytes. In comparison, the 2 day old and still growing WRData folder is roughly 4 times the size of all of my Norton Internet Security files/folder combined. The above noted : [b]Is this normal for the WRData folder or do I have a problem? [/b] [b]Is there a way to reduce the number and/or limit the size of the database files in the WRData folder?[/b] Any assistance would be greatly appreciated...
Ok...want to switch to Webroot from Trend Micro but unless I get this issue resolved it won't happen. The computer seems to freeze up to the point where the mouse runs at a crawl for about 5 mins. Now 1 cause at least seems to happen when I open Task Manager. Prior to install it would open in about 2 seconds. Now it takes 20-30 seconds and Task Manager process itself is running at about 23% CPU for that time. I then can barely move the mouse most of the time or do anything else on the PC. notice the Task Manager icon is blue rather than green so does that mean that Webroot has taken control of Task Manager? I added Task Manager itself as an exception to Allow but it seems to make little difference. Absolutely ruined a presentation I was running the other day. Turn off Realtime and Web Shield and it opens fine. What can I do to resolve?
this problem has been going on for about a week, I think since Microsoft last Windows 10 update on 3/1, security center shows Webroot on and OK, but numerous times during the day on the desktop the slide in notification for action center shows webroot and windows defender turned off click to check security center , I have tried removing webroot completly and reinstalled webroot, tried changing security center in services to auto restarted didn't work, then back to delay start didn't work messages still keep coming , not sure what else to try, it seems numerous windows 10 webroot users are having this problem,and I already put in four message for tech support but no answers yet, any thoughts on this different from what I have tried will help , thanks.
I think you are blocking Bethesda forums and I can't find anything newer than one year old to instruct here how to check this. None of your pages have the current information on them and I can't see how to check if you are blocking them or not. Really special that you change stuff but you don't bother on updating the customer instructions. :@ Why is this? Where exactly to look to see if you are blocking them or not??!! -edited- clarity

This isn't in order because I can't remember the order 1) Webroot had a pop up that covered half my screen saying something about some program. The problem is that it popped up and went away so fast I couldn't read it. I think it said facebook. I don't use facebook. 2) I get pop ups in the lower right corner. They're small and I never get to read them. 3) Apparently something called lodctr.exe keeps trying to install something every time I log in but I was just notified of this a while ago, a good while AFTER logging in. 4) There are no logs of any of this. Why don't you save logs of this crap so I can go and see what happened? 5) I have the program set to not fade messages out and to not force non critical messages into background, yet I do not get to read these messages. Why? 6) Malwarebytes pro now takes forever to start up after logging in. This is after an update caused it to have corrupted files and I had to reload it. 7) I cannot play audio CD's. Hi, Guys Another problem with either my understanding of Complete or maybe the program itself. Yes, I read the other 3 page thread on my issue but found no help. I decided to post a new thread for myrequest since the other thread looked to have become rather convoluted. In short, the website red/green indication does not show up on either a Google or Bing search. This is in both IE and Firefox, both updated. Google is a HTTPS search so I would expect it to not show based on the info in the other thread but Bing is HTTP in both browsers so should give indication of a web site's safety of lack thereof. No such luck with my install of Webroot Complete. I have tried turning the feature off and back on with no results -- the action is the same. I have Malewarebytes Pro running as well as Windows Security. There is no other security or maleware software installed on this new machine. It is an ASUS laptop running Win 7 Pro 64 bit. Any ideas? No support for Windows 10 and yes, I know they do not support new OS until they are released to the public. Apps for W10 are supposed to be compatible if they are compatible with earlier versions Windows... Even at this early stage. WRSC was compatible with Windows 10 9860 but not 9879... Hum, wonder what changed.
All of a sudden, within either Google Chrome or Firefox, I cannot log on to the Webroot Password manager (Icon within the browser) and thus passwords for all my sites cannot be seen. On each attempt I get the message "invalid password". The email account is not problematic. What makes this frustrating is that the very same email and password gets me into the Webroot console (website) without any problem at all. It just seems that the password manager within a webpage does not seem to be communicating with the webroot site to give me valid access. I have uninstalled Webroot Secure Anywhere as well as Google Chrome and reinstalled fresh copies to no avail. Any hints as to what is happening? I have not changed any settings at all so it is one big mystery. thanks!
Kit I have an issue with a couple of users who have Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete installed. I have been using your products for over 5 years now and recommend them to anyone and everyone, however the exclusion issue may be going to cause me a problem today! These users are using a database application and intermittently they lose the Copy/Paste functionality in this application and indeed on the whole PC, one is Windows 7 the other Windows XP. The database support department have been approached and we were advised to turn off Webroot and see what happened. Turns out that turning Webroot off alleviates the Copy/Paste functionality not working, so it looks as if Webroot is the root cause. I will say that my investigations have uncovered plenty of noise on the Internet of users with similar issues where other applications and functionality have been highlighted as possible causes ie RDPclient.exe etc. Anyway, the DB vendor has advised th

I just spent 109 bucks on the 3 year protection of lojack for my laptop. When I attempted to install it, it was having issues sending data on where it was located and would not complete the install until I removed Webroot. Simply turning off the firewall did not work. I know what the lojack files are called that are running all the time. WHen i reinstall webroot i dont think they could get out to the internet if my laptop is stolen. I dont like the idea of moveing to a antvirus software I didn't pay for to fix this. Anyone have any ideas how i can open up a small hole to let the files communicate out?
I'm on Mac and when offered to install a browser extension it installs on Safari but not on Chrome. Than every few days it offers me again to install it.... if I'm fast to click "Don't install", then it's "ok" (except for the fact that this is really bothering me and that it doesn't work on Chrome - at least stop asking me if it just cannot be installed - or I don't want it installed). The worse thing is if I don't cancel that dialog imediatelly then my Chrome browser with 100 open tabs just crashes ([url=http://cl.ly/image/021c2q0X2n3k)]http://cl.ly/image/021c2q0X2n3k)[/url] - unacceptable! There is no option in the settings to disable checking if browser extension is installed. I wrote to support 8 days ago and no answer... I fully understand that Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Opera are the only browsers supported by Firefox. I understand that Edge is not. However if I enter Microsoftedge.exe and Microsoftedgecp.exe into the identity shield Application protection screen in Webroot, even though it makes Edge unusable I see the little gold padlock on the Webroot icon in the task manager, as I do with Firefox, Chrome and Opera. When I put the Vivaldi.exe into the identity protection screen I do not see the little gold padlock. I was under the impression that the gold padlock showed when the executable program was entered into the Webroot identity shield application screen and that program opened. Am I wrong?
When I right click 'Open Anywhere Folder' from my system tray WSA icon, nothing happens. All the other features are working with a right click. Does this have anything to do with my Backup and Sync still not functioning? Support is still working on that and said it "should" be resolved in a couple of weeks.
I cannot log in to Webroot toolbar. It comes back with an error "Unknown email". But the email works prefectly logging into the Web console. In the web console everything seems to work fine except that when I go to Passwords the page is blank below the tab line. This occurs in Firefox (v19.0) and IE (v9). I have not used another email address. The permissions for this email address account are set to Admin for SecureAnywhere and PC Security and Access for Passwords and the other two. So I tried to launch Game Stock Car 2013 Extreme and I get this error message: [b]The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018). I had just finished spending several hours reinstalling a racing simulator game along with about 30 gigs of modified tracks, car skins and just a ton of modified files, so reinstalling the game was the last thing I going to attempt to do to try to remedy this error. I decided to install a second clean copy of the game into a different directory and when I tried to launch that game - the same error popped up. I tried researching the error, but I found no helpful information at all. I almost paid a lot of money for some error fixing scam program. I had to uninstall and reinstall Webroot due to keycode conflicts and lost the search box in the password manager. Before the uninstall/reinstall whenever I clicked the green webroot extension button in my Chrome browser there would be a search box at the top. It is now gone and a logoff option is now there. Any ideas on how to get it back, it was very usefull.
