This mallware was sent as an update to Flash Player, which it was not.  It has installed itself and has taken over the search window on my iMac computer on both Firefox and on Safari.  I cannot find it in the list of applications.

Will Web Root Secure anywhere remove it?    It must be new.  Will Webroot send and update to their software to remove it?

Hello @Rluss46 , Welcome to the Webroot Community Forum.:relaxed:

What you are seeing is a browser hijacker. I would recommend getting in contact with Webroot Support to remove this. When sending in a Support Ticket a Webroot log is automatically sent to Webroot Support.

Please submit a  Support Ticket  or  Contact Webroot Support  to sort this problem. This service is FREE with a Paid Subscription.

Support Ticket System is Open 24/7

Note: When submitting a Support Ticket, Please wait for a response from Support. Putting in another Support Ticket on this problem before Support responses will put your first Support Ticket at the end of the queue.

HTH,

Dave.
