WSA installed, opens briefly and quits

My company has ~20-25 Macs, primarily MBP and some MacMini’s. Roughly 12 have no problem with WSA. We have 2 different types of issues not the rest.

  • On some of the computers when you try to open WSA, it flashes and then quits (no process found in activity manager).
  • On other computers, the WSA is running in the back ground (shows in Activity monitor) but you can not access the console (icon does not appear in toolbar at top of screen.

Neither issue seems to matter whether use is logged in as a standard use or administrator. Happens on Mohave and Catalina macOS.

Clean uninstall > reboot > reinstall r=tried many times and does not typically resolve.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hello @bmacdonald

Since your dealing with more than 1 OS it would be best to Submit a Support Ticket and they can help you.

Here is the Direct link to get v9.1.3.103 for Catalina only and will not work on older OS’s.

https://mac.webrootmultiplatform.com/production/wsa-mac/10.15/9.1.3.103/WSAMAC.dmg

https://community.webroot.com/home-product-releases-27/product-update-mac-version-9-1-3-103-344506

Note: When submitting a Support Ticket, Please wait for a response from Support. Putting in another Support Ticket on this problem before Support responses will put your first Support Ticket at the end of the queue, it should be 24 to 48 hours but could take a little longer because of COVID 19.

Sorry as most if not all Webroot staff are working from home because of COVID 19.

Thanks for your understanding!
