Is Webroot planning on being compatible with the future version of macOS?

We just updated our 3 macs and Apple gave us the following statement.

Hello @Krys20bol

The best thing to do with the Mac version is to contact Webroot Support as there is not much help on the Community with Mac issues. https://www.webroot.com/us/en/support/home-contact

Sorry,

Hey there @Krys20bol ,

I just checked on this with support and was told the following:

This isn't an actual issue with the webroot agent at all, after referencing the included screenshot. It's an alert from OS X indicating that a particular type of file our agent uses will no longer be supported in the upcoming release of OS X 10.16.

You won’t notice this change as it’s very minor.

Thanks, Keenan

That’s a relief.  It’s always nice to get some good news.

Have a great day!!

Webroot IS indeed planning to develop (albeit too slow for my liking) agent upgrades for the MAC OS. That notice you are seeing is due to a little bit of legacy system  extensions that Webroot is still using until they get them upgraded. The notice will only show once on systems and DOES NOT affect other functionality of the agent. It’s just a system notice from MAC OS itself letting ya know this.

Cheers
