webroot blocking onedrive on windows 10
In application protection, I found a onedrive file that was blocked. I allowed it, and after reboot, I found another one that was blocked. How can I stop this behavior? See screenshot:
How can I get my new keycode to work on my laptop that has an expired (over 6 mos) keycode?
I purchased a laptop in August of 2014 and received webroot secure anywhere with it (from Best Buy). The Keycode expired about 6 months ago and I did not renew it. We just bought a new laptop (less than a month ago) from Best Buy and also got the webroot with it. I downloaded from the disc and followed all the steps, entering the keycode and all my information required and it says I am not protected. I went to the console and cannot sign in under the old information so I created a new account. Now I cannot log in on the console. What am I doing wrong?

My wife came across a scam that said her computer was infected with the koobface virus. They called themselves Toler Tech LLC and said they were affilliated with Microsoft. They offerd to fix it for her and took over her computer. They were in the middle of doing their thing when I disconnected the modem to stop it. My first question is should I be worried that my computer and personal information is not safe after this? My second question is will Webroot detect koobface or any threats of hacking due to this breach?
Webroot not renewing
I renewed my webroot security though best buy and saw the payment go throw two days ago but my webrot still says it's expired. I looked up my question and tried to do what I've seen in other boards but nothing is working. I tried to uninstall it but my computer said it was already uninstalled so it took Webroot off the uninstall programs list but when i tried to redownload Webroot just pops back up. I got the confirmation emails that i paid and with a member number but my computer still says it's expired.
Every Modified File Is Becoming Locked Until Reboot Or Shutdown Of Webroot App
Hello, Long time Webroot user, coming across this issue just recently on 2 computers. Seems like EVERY file I modify or create seems to become locked. I can't delete the file or do anything with it. I notice a reboot works, then I can come in and delete, but what also works is shutting down Webroot! Webroot seems to be locking every file I work on or create. This problem only started about a week ago. Here is the error: the action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You!
New HP computer with win 10 ( HATE IT ).....had about 250 days left on Webroot Secure Anywhere and installed it on new computer, no problem at all. Now would like to install toolbar and enable the green spot that indicates a safe site. Would also like to be able to one click my favorites and have the password enabled so I dont have to enter them each time. Windows 7 was a breeze...windows 10 is a nightmare !! 8) Thanks all, Robert PS sometimes the browswe is on Bing....sometimes on Firefox ( had firefox on my last computer, really liked it ) and sometimes on Microsoft Edge. Still trying to figure it all out. Did I say I despise Windows 10 ?? 8-)
Windows 10 action center repeatedly sends me notifications that Webroot protection is off
Windows 10 action center repeatedly sends me notifications that Webroot protection is off and that Windows Defender is off. When I check, I find that they are both on. Restarting the PC does not solve the problem. Windows 10 Community forum offers no solutions. Is there anything I can do to stop this notification about Webroot? Are the Windows 10 action center and Webroot software not successfully communicating? Thanks
Is there a way to connect remotely to my friends computer to help her get rid of a virus...
Hi, I know it's been a while but I have a question. Is there any way I can connect to my friends computer remotely and use my WebRoot Secure Anywhere to get rid of malware on her computer? Any help would be greatly appreciated! If I can't use my WebRoot, are there any other programs I can use to help her? Also, if I do connect to her computer will my WebRoot protect me? Thank you so very much, Doc13
Webroot Password Manager not appearing
So I had a ton of addons installed on Firefox, and it was slowing down my browser. A lot. Logically, I decide to refresh Firefox, which clears all themes, add-ons, customization, and anything else that might be slowing my browser. I started it back up again, and it works great! There's only one problem... Webroot Password Manager Is GONE. I have searched high and low for any way to reinstall the manager, but it appears that nobody accounted for the fact that Webroot's password manager has simply vanished, without a trace. I know what you're thinking; you probably just think I uninstalled the add-on, and it's waiting in Firefox's add-on manager to be installed again. Well, I checked, and it's not there. I had it before, and I still have Webroot Internet Security Plus, so I should have it back. After searching Webroot's interface and Firefox's add-on database thoroughly, I still came up empty. Will somebody [i]please [/
Scanning other drives
Is there a way for Webroot to find malware on drives other than the root drive...I believe it cannot do that, so do I have to use additional software? I ask because the program is new, the computer has been 'deep cleaned', and I want to make sure that the additinal drives (there are five) remaion clean. The OS is XP SP3. Thanks.
Why are quantconnect.com, quantopian.com, and quantquote.com flagged moderate risk or suspicious?
Hi, I've read favorable reviews of the subject sites and they seem legit, so why are they flagged with the minus sign and exclamation signs in front of their seach listings? QuantConnect even has a github account. Have there been reports of anything nefarious with these sites? Any malicious links or payloads? I'd like to visit these sites but I certainly don't want trouble. Might these sites be flagged because they all have "quant" in their names? Sorry if my questions seem stupid, I just don't know how the flagging works and whether it's a real threat. I'm hoping it's just a mistake. If it's true that these sites are indeed nefarious, will WebRoot still protect me against malicious links and payloads?
I am done with webroot
Why does webroot not have ANYWHERE a straightforward way to tell webroot that a certain file isn't bad and to allow it instead of quarantining it? I modify lots of files because I want to start my own software side job, but webroot marks everything as bad, I'm going to uninstall webroot and never recommend it to anyone again unless they offer a way to get around this bull**bleep**. What a waste of money and time.
