In Internet Explorer -> Add - ons the option to remove is disabled. Webroot AV is no longer on the machine and hasn't been for some time. Filtering Extension add-on
I found the Filtering Extension add-on in Chrome tonight -- I enabled that and the Password Manager. Now, when I Google for a website, the link appears then in seconds turns to something like this: nullWebroot URL Classification Category: Uncategorized Confidence: 0 Scand I can't click on the link. For now I'm going to disable the add-on but any info is appreciated!
Can Webroot remove the resultsbay Trojan Virus?
Hi and Happy New Year! :-) My Name is David Castro. I can't use Internet Explorer. When I do, popups take over the screen. It now does this with the AOL browser and Google Chrome. I ran Norton anti-virus and it showed my laptop had the Resultsbay Trojan Virus on my Laptop. But Norton was unable to completely remove Resultsbay from my computer. Can Webroot do this?
How to disable Webroot Filtering Extension in Chrome?
This totally hung Chrome today and I want to remove it, however when I click on the "disable extension" it won't uncheck the box, it says it is "Installed by Enterprise policy". I also turned off "Web Shield" in Webroot and I still can't disable it.
Cisco VPN problem....is there a Webroot setting that might be causing an issue?
My client recently installed Cisco VPN with MyConnect on my laptop so I can work from home. However, I continue to get error messages "unable to connect with server. Check Inernet connection." There's no problem with my internet connection, and I am wondering if there is a WebRoot setting that I need to check somewhere. Any help is much appreciated.
can you add a sys32 to webroot for it to look for older placed files that keep replacing themselves
i have an ex who has been cyber stalking me for the last 2 years. I wipe my system out and reinstall it and he's right back. I need to get him off as the net user administrator so I can shred and delete these sys32 and syswow programs. I need control of my computer, he has made paperweights out of 3 and I can't afford another one. I've taken it back to factory settings and he's still in there, so been there done that. Had it "fixed" by 2 good techies and it took him a while to get back in those times! I'm broke and broken. Thanks for any help. Erin
Webroot and the Hosts file
I have been using Webroot Security Complete for a couple of years now and presently have 4 devices protected. I plan to add a fifth device in October when its ESET license expires. I use the MVPS hosts file for ad blocking as opposed to using a browser extension such as Adblock. I find it works quite well. Now thinking back about ten years ago when Mydoom was rampant, the hosts file may present an attack vector for malicious software. The file may be modified, for example, by adware, computer viruses, or trojan horse software to redirect traffic from the intended destination to sites hosting malicious or unwanted content.] The widespread computer worm [url=https
Webroot update won't install
I got an alert that it was time to update webroot. Clicked the link which took me to Best Buy's site. Not satisfied with their pricing, I shopped, purchased, and downloaded it from Amazon. But the existing Best Buy Webroot won't allow the new one to install. It just keeps taking me to Best Buy to purchase the darn thing. I think the solution is to delete old webroot, but I'm a bit afraid that I will also lose the newly purchased one. Please advise. Thanks!
password manager won't recognize my email address
Just installed ISP Webroot SecureAnywhere and am trying to use Password Manager. I got the little icon in the upper right but when I try to log in it does not recognize my email address. I reset the password as stated in the help section, to no avail. Any help?
Windows 10 action center repeatedly sends me notifications that Webroot protection is off
Windows 10 action center repeatedly sends me notifications that Webroot protection is off and that Windows Defender is off. When I check, I find that they are both on. Restarting the PC does not solve the problem. Windows 10 Community forum offers no solutions. Is there anything I can do to stop this notification about Webroot? Are the Windows 10 action center and Webroot software not successfully communicating? Thanks

Webroot has not responded to my requests for keycode assistance.
More than one month ago I contacted Webroot to request assistance. I sent a photograph of my package because the first two numbers of the keycode are illegible. I purchased the antivirus protection at a Best Buy store in the New York. I called several times and was never connected to an operator. I have sent multiple emails with no response. Please advise. I have the original box with the member number. Thank you.
