Working within the "Manage Passwords Online" web page, I categorized my sites (Academia, Finance, Health, Shopping, etc.). The next time I went to that web page, my categories had multiplied. Example: I started with one "Finance" containing 8 items. Next time there were three "Finance" with 4, 3, and 1 item, respectively. Why does this happen?
Hello...I just wanted to let the community know what I learned today and encase anyone else needs help. I have VS installed on my W7. I had VS check the file wsainstall.exe and iIdecided to block it because I thought it was PE.StealerZBot! 1.6524. Which sounded scary to me. WebrootAnywhere scanned my PC and found 8 threats. I opened a Support Ticket and they responded back...saying sometimes this issue is caused by a disk error and to check disk with Microsofts tools. So I'm doing that full disk scan via restart of PC and then sending log files to support. Hopefully I have a good outcome.. .
I just installed webroot on 5 of my machines. Since the install, most of my programs, especially my payroll and contact management software take forever to open, and once I close them, they take betwenn 30 and 45 seconds to close. I never had this problem prior to today; was using ESET 9, and the main reason for switching to Webroot was that ESET was consuming 245megs of ram. Now my ram usage is minimal for this program, but my programs respond as if they are on crutches. Any ideas? With thanks in advance PK
I have 2 problems, they may be related so ill ask them together Webroot will scan my computer, it will say that my volsnap.sys is infected as a possible rootkit. I will delete it as instructed and reset the computer and it will go away. But if i turn off or reset my computer after it "deletes" it it will come back. The second part of this question is now my Webroot will not remove the threat. It will say you can remove the threat, but when the promt to reset the computer should come up it just rescans and finds the same threat (an infected volsnap.sys) any help is appreciated, if im too vague tell me and il try to clairify !
After a full scan webroot highlights a threat and when I move to the next step to remove it I get a screen that says it can't remove it. I've tried in Safe Mode with same results. I've rebooted, etc, with same results. The other interesting thing is that when I look at the threat log it says that no threats have ever been detected. I'm not sure whether I really have a threat or not? The 'dashboard' shows active threat and after a scan it displays one threat removed.
Hi Under the Shields options there is the option to 'Prevent any program from modifying the HOSTS file'. If I allow a particular program or service under 'Block/Allow Files' will this override the above option i.e. allow that program or service to update the HOSTS file? Else is there another way of whitelisting a particular program or service to achieve this? Or is the only solution to temporarily uncheck that option above? Rgds - Paul
Hello, I purchased Internet Security Plus for 5 devices. Keycode was successfully activated but in order to turn on 'Lost Device Protection' I have to sign in using my Webroot account. I keep getting this Error message : 'There was a problem communicating with Webroot servers. Try again in a minute or two.' This has been going on for the last few hours now. It also does the same thing on my husband's phone, One Plus Pro, so on both Android phones. No issues with our laptops though. Your help is much appreciated.
My client is seeing a WEBROOT - Reputation SUSPICIOUS warning for their web page (which I just created for them) when the site comes up in Google Search Results. The web page is pretty simple with no malicious content. What factors would trigger this warning ( since it doesn't appear to be related to page content. The site is: https://mobileservicesandrepairs.com/ Thanks
So, I have the license, but the machine is unsupported. What I am asking for is access to an archived Password Manager for my old machine. The Machine is Windows 2000 pro SP4 (version: 5.00.2195) The Browser is Firefox 12.0 (it is the most current firefox I have been able to get loaded on the machine.) I know I'm streching, but the more usefull Webroot is on my old stuff the more likely I am to keep the 5 seat license. SecureAnywhere works great on Windows 10 and since support got it installed Password Manager is working well in Firefox 45.0b5 on said Windows 10 machine. Thanks in advance, --Karl.
Greetings all, Im not sure if this is a Webroot issue but am looking for advice if you can offer it up. All of a sudden the " page size " wont stay the same. Not sure what Ive done but I used to turn on my computer and all the websites I visited were the same size ( 150 ) Now I have to adjust each site...each time. Even if I go from one page to the next, it reverts back to 100% instead of what I prefer, which is 150%. I currently use the latest Firefox, the latest Webroot and the latest updates to Win 10. I contacted Firefox with this question and some responses were to do this and that... and some responses suggested to get an "add-on ". In the past ( last week ) I didnt need an " add-on " nor did i have to perform the " this and that " to have the page size remain the same each and every time I logged on, regardless of the day or time. Is there a way to " set " once again, the page size so it remains the same, and I dont have to adjust it each and every tim
Just wondering what all the Webroot toolbar does, is it just password management/identity management or is it also responsible for some of the programs browser protection? Does it have a 'Web of Trust' type feature where it shows whether a site is legit or not? I'm curious as I don't know if I'll use the password management or not. Thanks!
Hello, I'm using Firefox 58.02 (64 bit). Up until the last few days, the password manager has worked just fine. Now, all of a sudden, when I try to log in to the manager it either says it can't contact the server or it says nothing at all and just never logs me in. This is happening in Firefox on multiple computers. The manager works just fine in Chrome.
