When I turn on my laptop it is now taking almost 5 minutes to get to the log on screen, and after I log on it still take forever to get to my screen. Once I click on chrome button and I'm able to get online, the computer will just shut down completely...the scan shows no malware, what do I do next?
Hi - New to the community. Recently bought a laptop that came with Webroot Secure Anywhere as well as McAfee Antivirus. My question is does Webroot have virus protection or do I need a separate antivirus program? Do not like McAfee so do not want to renew it if I already have protection through Webroot. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Webroot Internet Security Plus fails in EICAR test and I am concerned about its effectiveness
I´m a relatively recent user of Webroot Internet Security Plus. During a lot of years i´ve used other suite. My primary notebook got a problem (is under repair) and now i´m using an old one, with a Celeron processor. So searching for a “light” security suite I saw good reviews of Webroot and I bought the software. It´s easy to use, no impact in notebook performance, it seems great with Windows 10… but… Now with all pandemic things and a lot of warnings to be careful using internet, i wondered if Webroot works really fine. Searching in google, i saw a lot of sites recommending a method to test if the antivirus is working, with a not harmful file from EICAR (Supposedly it’s a very common test). I accessed to the EICAR website and i´ve downloaded the files. No reaction from Webroot… With the files on my notebook, and scanning each one individually, also no reaction… i got worried… it was supposed to get a false positive. Webroot Account Password Recovery
Good night to all, I'm an Webroot Internet Security Plus subscriber and i forgot my webroot account password. I have already requested a password reset on the website form an enormous number of times (since last friday), receiving the answer "We have sent you an email. It contains a link which will enable you to reset your details"; however, when i go to my email I don't receive anything from Webroot (and yes i´ve checked the Spam folder). Any ideas?? Is Webroot having some issues? I´ve also tried the support but no answer. Is Webroot working?? Thank you in advance,
Firewall not recognized in Windows Security
Good night, I have Webroot Internet Security Plus and the product supposedly owns a Firewall. However, the Windows 10 Security do not recognize the Webroot Firewall and says that the Firewall in use is the native from Windows, the Windows Defender Firewall. With my last Security Suite (from other brand), also with Firewall, the Windows 10 Security reported that virus and Firewall were controlled by the Security Suite. With Webroot, just reports the virus being managed by Webroot. This is some Webroot issue? Some problem from Windows 10? I did an Windows 10 clean install and immediately installed Webroot. Is Webroot Firewall really working? Any idea? Thanks in advance,
My web filter add-on to filter safe websites has gone away and I don't know how to get it back. Please clarify why this has happened and how to reactivate it please. When I go to my Mozilla firefox browser add on page the Webroot Plugin is just gone. Sent a message to customer support with no response. Let’s get some movement here. Let’s go!
Webroot console won't accept authentication and I KNOW that it's right
I am trying to log into the webroot console to manage my license. My login is correct. My password is correct. It asks me for the authentication code (it simply says “enter authentication code” so I enter the entire code I created.) I get an error message that says “Invalid Authentication Code” I have gone back and chosen the “Forgotten Password” link and gone through all those steps successfully. Even with the new code, I get the same “Invalid Authentication Code” message. I have my license through Best Buy. I spent an hour on the telephone with Best Buy and they have no idea why this is happening except they suspect it is a WebRoot issue. I cannot get to live Webroot support, so I am trying this.
System Analyzer Results with brand new Dell Inspiron 3585 not in Win 10 S mode, Webroot just installed.
System Analyzer says 3 things: 1. The system has crashed in the last month. I figure this one is not too serious. 2. No antispyware product is installed. This may exist in Webroot but didn’t get installed yet, right? I mean, it’s supposed to be SECURE ANYWHERE, isn't it? 3. An active process has a possible handle leak (explorer. exe). This sounds a little more serious. Is it? What should I do?
How do I know when I need to renew my subscription?
How do I know when to renew my subscription? I want to know if there is a way to check on my account so that I know if the renewal request I am recieving on my computer is a virus or if its the app asking. I hope this makes sense. I basically want to check my subscription status to verify whether or not I actually need to renew or not.
Questions about scan
Greetings, my past security ( Trend Micro ) had an option for a quick scan or a full system scan. Just installed Webroot and the initial scan scanned 50,000 something files. The full system scan on Trend Micro scanned something like 300,000 files. Is there an option for me to do a full scan or a quick scan with Webroot? Also the Trend had an area where you could check for recent updates. Where can I find this feature on Webroot.? Much obliged for your assistance.
Key Code for Extended Subscription
My Webroot subscription expires in a little less than one month. Yesterday, I received an e-mail telling me my subscription would expire in a month and and asking whether I wanted to renew now. Because of this e-mail reminder, I did renew yesterday for a year and received a receipt for my payment. However, my online console and my software still indicate my subscription will expire in 30 days. I did note as I processed my payment that there was a statement indicating my card would not be charged until expiration date of my current subscription. Question: Does the system wait to show my revised subscription expiration date on the effective date of the subscription extension when my card is actually charged? Thanks for your help! Ralph
How do I get my website unblocked?
Hello, I don’t have your software installed, but I’ve been told by members of my community that you are either blocking access to my domain or have marked it as malicious. My server doesn’t have any malware or virsues on it. It’s scanned regularly. Speeding up Second Life/OpenSim
(This was asked several years ago, but I´m hoping there may be some new information.) I´ve used Second Life for many years, and lately it has really slowed down. I´ve run thru all the suggestions available at https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/slow_rez but what really jumps out is the possible issues with Webroot. https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/webroot I really do NOT want to turn off ID Protection. There are references in the community conversation to whitelisting files or folders, either on the PC or at your server end, but as I said, this stuff is really old. Can we resurrect this topic with any new information? Thanks!
No link to use the Password Manager
I’ve had Webroot for several years, but I haven’t used the password manager before. On the webroot main page, there’s no option or link to start using the password manager. I tried creating an account to have the numerical code to use for the password manager, but it doesn’t work with this year’s keycode and says I already have an account. Please help so I can use the new Password Manager. Btw, I’m still working on submitting a support ticket by accepting cookies and logging in a 2nd time, but it’s not working in Chrome. I just submitted an online ? for this in the community as well. Thank you in advance for any help.
