The green check marks next to results in Google search has stopped working in Chrome. They show up fine in Bing search using Chrome. They work fine in Firefox. I've uninstalled & reinstalled the extension from the Chrome store. Any suggestion on getting them back in Google search? Thank you. Lisa
Please help! I recently installed the Webroot software on my mac. I was playing around with it since I had never used it before. I think I clicked somthing in the system optimizer screen to cause all of my documents, all of microsoft office (program and files) and photos to disappear. Please tell me these are recoverable.
Hello, I have a Windows 10 PC and Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security.It stopped working a week ago after the last released update tried to install.Rebooting does not fix it. When trying to uninstall Webroot to try reinstalling fresh: It says I must be an administrator to access this feature (even though I am logged in as admin) and I am unable to uninstall it. I have tried opening a ticket with Webroot last week and still no response back.Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!
Hi. I have made use of Webroot's Passwords storage service. But the "copy and paste" feature does not work. It is a total pain in the arse to have to laboriously type out my passwords each time I log onto my financial accounts. Is there a way to engage "copy and paste" so that I don't have to waste so much time looking at my passwords and typing them out?
I´m a relatively recent user of Webroot Internet Security Plus. During a lot of years i´ve used other suite. My primary notebook got a problem (is under repair) and now i´m using an old one, with a Celeron processor. So searching for a “light” security suite I saw good reviews of Webroot and I bought the software. It´s easy to use, no impact in notebook performance, it seems great with Windows 10… but… Now with all pandemic things and a lot of warnings to be careful using internet, i wondered if Webroot works really fine. Searching in google, i saw a lot of sites recommending a method to test if the antivirus is working, with a not harmful file from EICAR (Supposedly it’s a very common test). I accessed to the EICAR website and i´ve downloaded the files. No reaction from Webroot… With the files on my notebook, and scanning each one individually, also no reaction… i got worried… it was supposed to get a false positive. But Webroot do not detects the EICAR… just to be sure if i´ve done a
I have access to Webroot online so I'm familiar with the console, etc. I had a problem and called the 800#. The recording asked me for my account number. I couldn't find it and then they wanted my SS#, which I would not give over the phone. I then had a Live Chat and that person said there were no account numbers and asked for my keycode. Do I have an account number, and if so, where do I find it online? Thank you, Sharon
I just renewed Webroot for 1 year online for Internet Security Plus for 3 pc's and activated my new product code. I would like to know how I can get credit for 4 days I had left on my old product key. Are there any instructions on what to do? Thank you
Hey all, Was wondering if anyone else is having this issue. I've been using WSA along with sandboxie for a while. I never had too much of an issue other than the Identity shield not working once or twice. With the last firefox upgrade and WSA upgrade I've had issue with a few things. When I open my yahoo mail in firefox it freezes up. I can open my mail with the basic mail. I uninstalled sandboxie thinking that may be the problem but it still was doing it. I then disabled identity shield and still had the problem. I uninstalled WSA and the problem went away. I still have sandboxie running and I don't have any problems opening yahoo mail. I'm more than happy to re-install WSA and see if I can get this problem squared away. I'm running Win 8.1 64 bit on a Dell laptop. Hi this is my first post and I was hoping to get some advice from some advance user. I recently installed 123 copy dvd gold 2013 onto my computer. Everything was fine until after I registered and the software said there was an update available. I downloaded the update but after that the screen froze and webroot popped up saying a threat was detected. I followed the instructions on the screen and webroot quarantined a file. I tried to do a google search on the type of file it was (csi7191.exe) but did not come up with anything. I also did a search for viruses associated with 123 copy dvd gold and a message from its website said your antivirus may not allow you to download it due to the copyright protection software. It goes on to say it is safe to download their software. I purchased the original 123 copy dvd software from a store and upload it on my computer from a disk which did not produce any warnings from webroot. I cannot use Webroot along side Windows Defender on the one pc here with Windows 8, but on the other computers we have are Windows 7 and both run together. I looked at Webroot's solutions, but that complete set of options in advenced settings is not what I see on this pc with Windows 8
I have just converted to Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Plus from Norton Antivirus as our subscription was through Best Buy and they are no longer supporting Norton Antivirus through subscription. It was a free conversion. Anyway, it is for three computers. My two computers use Hughesnet, so no problems there, but my folks have dialup for their computer and theirs is the third one that I have to convert tomorrow. My question is, being that Webroot uses the cloud based definitions and all that, will this work for them using dialup? With Norton, I had their computer set up to NOT automatically update, and every few days I would bring it over here and update it through my Hughesnet, including Windows updates as well. With Webroot it has to be able to automatically update as needed to work properly, correct? So, again, will this work on dialup or is it going to cause massive slow downs anytime they are online because of the constant
As I mention in the subject line, I appear to be having issues with my webroot scanning setup. It was working fine a few days ago after being fixed for issues where it wasn't doing the scan at all. Now it's having an issue where if I scan a single file ahead of the daily scan, it is resetting itself to start it's next scan in 24 hours instead of just doing it's normal daily scan. The WRData folders and files in the program data section has also taken a massive leap from 110 mb total size (with the size on disk listed as 108 mb.) to 894 total space with 819 mb size on disk. Windows did recently do an update, so maybe that cause the issue? I tried to call customer service, but they're apparently flat out closed on Sundays. If I could, I'd post images for this. Can anyone help? Edit: Ok, so things got worse. The countdown did set back to normal, for whatever reason, but then when it did the countdown, it didn't do the scan and once again just set to scan tomorrow. This is an issue
I just want to info the members here on Webroots Community Forum about a possible "Bug" with WSA and MBAM. Every once in a while the Update Button is grayed out on MBAM. This has been seen using Windows XP only. Hello all... I plan on doing a clean install of Windows7 on my wife's laptop. I am the administrator on our WSA account. Do I need to deactivate her laptop first and then re-activate her? Or can I leave it alone and after re-installing WSA software just put in the same keycode...or both? Thanks in advance....
Just decided to test WSAE. De-installed KeyScrambler for the Identity Shield feature. In order to test whether it's working, I used the Zemana tester that was recommended here. When allowing it in my HIPS, it detects everything. This goes for every application I've manually set to Protect: word-pad, notepad, office, Mozilla... So what's the deal? A bug, or am I doing something wrong?
I have been using Webroot anti virus for a couple of years now. My subscription is getting ready to expire. I'm debating whether to upgrade to Essentials. I was interested in the phishing attack, firewall and deleting unrecoverable files features. I'm unfamiliar with the backup and sync features since I am using only one computer and back up my files with external and flash drives. Other than those features I mentioned would it be worth getting over the regular anti-virus? Are there any other reasons as to why I should upgrade? Is it as easy to use as the regular anti virus and more secure?
