I purchased a license to extend my subscription. (I had well over 200 days remaining but decided to do so and forget about the subscription running out). My question is, will the time be added automatically or do I need to start a support ticket to add the extra time? Matt
While browsing the topics over on the Microsoft Forums, a Windows Moderator was answering a question about the Anniversary Windows 10 download/installation. In his suggestions to the original poster of the question, he recommended that downloads/installations go quicker if .... ( A ) you use an Ethernet connection instead of a WiFi connection, and ( B ) if you turn OFF all AntiVirus Protection and Firewalls. It took forever to install the newest Windows version 1607. I don't have nor want any WiFi and did use an Ethernet connection for the download. Would the installation have been quicker and as safe if I did turn off the Webroot and Windows firewall ?

I didn’t realize my Webroot Filtering Extension was off when I was browsing this morning and I clicked a link that looked promising, but then when I looked at the URL, I realized it might be sketchy. I clicked “BACK” immediately. I turned my WFE back on and looked at the link again the search engine, and sure enough there’s a big red “!” next to it. I tried to see if clicking the red “!” would give me more information and then it took me to the link again! Does this mean that the website is now whitelisted? Is there a way to BLOCK it now?
Anybody else getting message from Windows 10 that Webroot is off even when Webroot window says everything IS on? At first even said Windows Defender was off but was able to turn that back on in Control Panel but not the Webroot. Again, the Webroot window itself does show that everything is, indeed, on. Anybody have any experience and/or advice on this?
I have WRSA Internet Security Plus with 2 registered computers that share the same keycode. When I added my android phone, by following the instructions given on my administrator console, it gave the phone a new Keycode. The new Keycode shows up on my console under the mobile tab. I downloaded the free version, which is what I thought I was supposed to do because my subscription covers 3 devices. Did I do something wrong? Thanks.
I bought the CD for Webroot Internet Security Plus from BestBuy. I went through the install process, but it never shows up as installed in my program list. I have Windows-10 on a desktop. I registered it as direted, but I can see no evidence that it actually installed. Thanks for any ideas! Chuck
Hello, I noticed on the release notes that there is a new version of Secure Anywhere out, version 184.108.40.206. The version installed on my computer is 220.127.116.11. When I check for updates, it says I have the latest version. Is this a gradual release I just need to wait for, or should I do an uninstall/reinstall to get the latest version? Thank you.

I installed Webroot about a month ago. Today I was logging in to school and a Windows Defender message and high pitched beeping noise began. It stated I needed to call a Microsoft phone number but the number disconnects as soon as it is called. I checked my Webroot and it shows I have no pc's protected yet it will do a scan? Help???
I decided to remove the listed PC's reporting to "My Webroot" in the "PC Security" panel but I had no idea this was not simply removing them from the on-line list, it was in fact telling each PC to uninstall Webroot from their systems. This was a huge shock to me because no where on the "My Webroot" site does it say it will uninstall from the actually computers. I was under the impression you were only removing those systems from reporting to the My Webroot service. Please make this clearer in the future because Webroot has now been uninstalled from all 3 of my PC's and I can't simply walk over and install it again. I will need to travel now simply because the description was not accurate. Why does instructing My Webroot on-line not to listen for updates from your software on PC's make it uninstall? I don't want to uninstall Webroot from the PC's I just wanted to not have them listed in the My Webroot "Pc Security" window. This is now a pre
Just bought my computer at Best Buy and they installed a year subscription of Webroot Secure Anywhere Internet Security. I noticed on my old computer, I could start typing my login name, etc. and after one letter it would spell it out for me. On this new computer it won't do it. Does anyone know if this is due to this program, and if it is, how to correct this? All suggestions would be helpful for this old 62 year old rookie.
My laptop has picked up a few things and I am having it analyzed online by the microsoft windows support center. They need me to turn off webroot and run a program called ComboFix. However, when I turn webroot 'off' per your instructions, (right click the icon in the system tray, select shut down webroot protection, type in the captcha) the scan is still showing that it is running. How do I disable it completely so I can run this log without damage?
Ok, first off...I'm actually really enjoying WR Security. It's fast, I barely notice any PC usage from it. I just hate one thing about it...and I mean HATE! I'll be visiting a site, and sometimes when I go to click on a link in some of my fav sites...a popup comes up. Sooo...WR...for some reason does their little "advisor" or whatever, in the top right corner. Which is fine...if it would stay there! Instead...it pops up...leaves...pops up...leaves! Very annoying!!! Ok...so I'm using Firefox on Win 8. With FF, if you get a popup, it usually opens a whole different window, instead of tab. Sooo...I go to the bottom, scroll to the other window that opened...and it takes FOREVER to close it! Mainly because WR is...I guess...doing their security or whatever! Again...this would be GREAT if WR kept their little "advisor" up for me to click on "close". Like I said...it doesn't! It pops up...goes away...etc. I am soooo frustrated with this!!! I have actually contacted support at least 2-3 times
hi there, i'm trying out secureanywhere and would like to understand, how it works. after installing, the standard test-scan was done and found nothing. this is quite surprising, because my last scanner(s) found a lot more. so i downloaded a "testvirus". my old scanner broke the download, but webroot alowed it. only when executing the file, the virus was found and a message popped up. so how save is webroot now and when is a virus recognized as virus? thanks for your help, thomas
Hello everyone, I have used Norton Internet Security (NIS) since 2009 and just recently switched to Webroot. I had used Webroot Anti-spyware many years ago and now that the issue with the saved passwords/account logon giving invalid email address seems to have been resolved, I wanted to try Secure Anywhere Plus. I am used to seeing a detailed log history of all activities of the firewall, anti-malware etc... being constantly saved in NIS. I cannot find such a history in this product. There are some logs of scans and malware detections but no history which shows saved details for, for example, if a website or malicious attack on the internet was blocked. I had a few very quick pop-up windows today while surfing the internet but they disappeared instantly and consequently, I could not read them. Is there a place where I can find such history of all activity, especially of blocked websites, anti-phishing blocks, malware detections which were blocked ... ? Thanks in advance, John
In the old interface there used to be under "settings > Web > View" a list of websites the allowed access even if Webroot SecureAnywhere would normally block access. From there that list could be maintained. I can no longer find that list or its equivalent in the new interface. Where has that list gone and how is it maintained using the new interface?
I installed SecureAnkywhere Internet Security on my iMac running OSX 10.7.5. The icon appears at the top and at first glance it appears to be working, but in fact the first scan is stuck on "Prepearing to scan". I can't set any advanced options. I cannot uninstall. I did submit a ticket but got no response so far. I did look at the community board. It seems that there were problems in the past, but the recommended solution says to choose "Shut Down SecureAnywhere. Of course. But it does not shutdown. I can't uninstall. I can't use it. I tried rebooting more than once. So I have something that is less than useless that so far I can't get rid of. Absolutely nothing works and customer support has not responsed. I am fearful of trying this on my PC. This product was shrink wrapped from BestBuy otherwise I would fear that my product was itself a virus. Any suggestions? I should point out that my priority is to uninstall this product. Unserstandably, I don't have much faith in
