Dear Sir or Madam: Due to a mix up at Best Buy, we were given new version of Webroot Secure Anywhere; the first, activated on 02/21/2013, version's Key Code subscription was changed from active to expired, and the new one's Key Code was activated today, 03/06/2013. The problem we are encountering is the Password function does not work when attempting to access it using the web console: https://my.webrootanywhere.com/home.aspx We now have 2 web consoles, and both have show same message saying: "Password: Your keycode has now expired. To continue accessing Passwords please renew your keycode otherwise your data may be lost." If you click the Password button on the tool bar, from either console, you get a grey screen and the following error message: "The page could not be accessed. Please try again later." Note, the original Key Code activated on 02/21/2013 shows 1 expired key code. Can someone

Hello, I have done all of my usual stuff to get rid of virus', adware, and spyware and this is attached to me outlook. It causes it to crash when I am checking my mail, popping up when i click on certain spam, which i am guessing is being sent form this site, and then causing my outlook to crash. I can't even attempt to deleate it as it causes the crash. I have read about this and see that windows defender is suppose to get rid of it but it will not run, I am guessing because of a conflict with Webroot. I turned of Webroot and defender will still not run. Can someone please help me, it's driving me nuts! Thanks.
Last Friday I reinstalled WSA. I had to reinstall NIS2012 so I rather reinstalled WSA then. Since then no scans are recorded on my Webroot account. The last scan recorded is 17/8 however another 4 or 5 scans already passed. As for the android WSA no problems experienced, all definition updates and scans are correctly reported on the account. Any help appreciated. Thanks & regards, pegas
1) Every so often I get a message in red which says "An error occurred while attempting to contact the server. Please check your Internet connection. error=10 reason=xmlhtperror" It doesn't affect anything, and I just close the message by clicking on the X. 2) Also, I have Windows 8 with Internet Explorer. When using the Desktop to surf the net (IE9), Webroot Password Manager works fine; but when using IE10 from the new Start page, the Password Manager doesn't even show up. Is there a way to get it to work?
Any one else having a problem with the "Scan on boot up if computer off at scheduled time" being UNCHECKED but WSA still carrying out a post boot scan, even if the (i) the previous scheduled scan did occur...although that was the previous day & (ii) the scheduled scan time set if AFTER the time of the reboot? Scenario for me was (i) booted up, (ii) noticed that there were some Windows updates to install, (iii) installed those, (iv) rebooted as required by the update process...and bingo...just after the reboot had completed I noticed WSA scanning. Not sure if this is a bug, given what I have advised above, or if I have misunderstood the settings/misconfigured WSA. Any thoughts? :$ Regards Balders
So, earlier today, I installed Rainmeter (that open-source desktop customization thingy) and installed a skin straight from the Rainmeter site. I noticed that there was a message from Webroot indicating that a threat had been removed. Sure enough, it was from the skin. Just because, I manually scanned the source file of the skin and sure enough, Webroot had to clean/quarantine the file. After that, I promptly uninstalled Rainmeter and deleted the files it left behind. I am now left with multiple questions:

Am I "good to go" from this point on? (as in, I can use my computer without fear of infection?)
Whenever I try to redownload the said skin file, Chrome shows that there are "insufficient permissions" after the download has completed (and as a result, the file does not appear to be on my system). Is this one of WSA's "learned" behaviors, and if so, which component is doing the access blocking?
Has anyone else experienced issues with W
I was trying to add webroot to another computer, but everytime it asks for my keycode, it says "Enter a valid keycode. If you continue to receive this message contact SecureAnywhere support." ive done this before on 2 other computers, but have since removed webroot from those. Is that the reason why? The only computer that is currently protected with webroot is my laptop. All I wanted to do was to remove viruses from this other laptop that has major issues. I don't want to purchase another keycode but that is what its sounding like what im going to have to do. I copied and pasted it to the installation popup and I even removed the dashes and spaces. Can someone please explain what is going on?
I've been struggling with this for quite a while and just saw the issue of Firefox crashing on launch correlated with Protected Applications. Yeah I've had that happening for a couple weeks and blaming Win8. But something I've been struggling with even longer is Opera (another protected application) and using the simple and common Alt-D keystroke that simply positions the focus to the address field. Then I had the same problem in Quicken 2012, but only on one screen where I happen to use the Alt key as a short cut. So Webroot Protection (identity) seems to be a common link. Disabling all of these applications from "Protected" seems to resolve the problems. What's going on specifically is this. In Opera, when I press Alt-D, focus initially shifts to the address field (as you'd expect it to) but then when I release the Alt key (in slow motion, one hits Alt, then D, then releases D, then releases Alt), focus shifts to the File menu item (as in File, Edit, etc)...it doesn
I was wondering if anyone could offer a solution to this because I quite like the software otherwise. Since switching to Webroot ISP yesterday, I've started to experience a strange problem with the screen going blank (completely black i.e. monitor off) and then coming back on. It only lasts for about a second and does not affect any other processes while it is happening. Once today it went blank without coming back on again and the monitor went into standby mode which would suggest it is cutting the signal to it completely. It only seems to happen when the program is actively doing something, for example when I open up a new web page. It will also black out the screen without fail just after starting up as the pop-up box at the bottom right is fading. I am running Windows XP Pro 2002 SP3. Any suggestions?
Just bought my computer at Best Buy and they installed a year subscription of Webroot Secure Anywhere Internet Security. I noticed on my old computer, I could start typing my login name, etc. and after one letter it would spell it out for me. On this new computer it won't do it. Does anyone know if this is due to this program, and if it is, how to correct this? All suggestions would be helpful for this old 62 year old rookie.
Hi there Have recently extended my subscr1ption for secureanywhere by entering a previously purchased Essentials 2102 license key. Had checked with sales that this would work...and it did but it took a little while to convert the Essentials features to those for Complete (as per the conversion philosophy for this, i.e., old Essentials user get Complete and then can either renew that next time or downgrade. Anyway, the net result of this renewal (this way) is that temporarily i reverted to Essentials functionality only until the coversion to Complete took place...and in the interim I lost the Password Management functionality in the browser, etc. no problem...that returned temporarily but on SUnday morning I found that I got a red banner at the top of the browser saying "Your subscription has expired. Renew now to continue accessing Password Management" and a Try Again option...which just asked me for my userid/password which I entered and so we went on in the same loop. In
Team, I've been in the computer industry 30 years. I have a Vista Ultimate laptop with McAfee that got the "your illegal--- pay us money" bug. From the Web I downloaded Webroot and Malwarebytes and was able to fix it. ANY SUGGESTIONS: Is it time to upgrad McAfee--- should I be running a couple of tools in parallel: Webroot & Malwary Bytes? And Ad blocker. Thanks for any suggestions!!!! Randy
Hi All Have just noticed that the automated transfer of previous 'Essentials' users to full 'Complete' functionality has occurred for me...and so I now have the Passwrod Management fucntionality showing up as available in my broswer(s). Have been 'playing' with it and am yet to decide if I plan to keep it enabled. However, one thing is bugging me...namely the fact that despite having ticked the 'Remember my Password' check box on the sign in dialog, every time I reload my browser (IE9 mainly) I have to re-enter my password to enable the Password Management functionality...which somewhat defeats the object of the 'Remember my Password' option....IMHO. Is anyone else coming across this? Is this a known issue? Does anyone have a solution? Many thanks in anticipation of a response. Regards Baldrick
Just wondering what all the Webroot toolbar does, is it just password management/identity management or is it also responsible for some of the programs browser protection? Does it have a 'Web of Trust' type feature where it shows whether a site is legit or not? I'm curious as I don't know if I'll use the password management or not. Thanks!
Hello, I think I have come across another "bug" concerning the "Scan with webroot" on right click menu. I don't know what causes it but at random times on all my computers running Webroot Secure Anywhere Essentials 2012 Version 188.8.131.52 the "Scan with webroot" on right menu stops working. What happens is I right click on a file or folder and and click on "Scan with webroot" and then nothing happens. I get no pop up box from Secure Anywhere showing its scanning. And when this bug happens the only way I seem to be able to get "Scan with webroot" working again I have to shut down Secure Anywhere Essentials and restart it. Once I do that "Scan with webroot" works like normal again until the random bug happens again. But like I said I have no idea what makeit happen in the first place. But there must be a bug somewhere in the software that neess to be fixed. Anyone else here every have this happen? Thanks
Hello, I use WSA and have installed the Reputation Toolbar in Firefox. When working on my professional blog/website on wordpress.com , it ranks it as "suspicious (50)" :-( even though there are only images and text, and the whole is hosted by Wordpress. How this rating changes ? It's my business website and well, it's a bit embarassing ... How works the Reputation toolbar ? Thanks
I've become a recent user of Webroot Security Essentials 2012, coming across from Microsoft Security Essentials. Things have been going well, but I've not a significant slowdown in browsing in Chrome and CPU usage in Chrome. As a result, I'm unable to watch videos on You Tube? If I stop Webroot, or use IE, there's no such problem. Does anyone else experience this, or know how it can be resolved? I've tried disabling all the 'Web Threat Shield' options, but that didn't help, so am guessing it's something to do with Chrome itself, rather than browsing?
Hi there, lately I bought Internet Security Plus and also registred the license key in the console I use for my SMB company. Registration is correctly added and Internet Security Plus appears in the list. Till now, I do have trouble ro register PC&Mobile security by entering user id and password. It constantly tells me "Login Failure - we are unable to log you in". When loggin into the console the respective license key shows 3 devices that where allowed, but I only have registred with my PC. There should be 1 device registred, 4 should be left. My mobile was not yet registred, and the above error message. Any idea what I can do? Greetings from Switzerland, Martin
I have Webroot on my desktop but not on my laptop. I can order goods from Play.com on the laptop but not on the desktop with active Webroot. Webroot says ... The foreground window is protected by identity shield. I think this is preventing me from buying goods on play.com as it is the only difference between the 2 computers. If I click on BUY in play.com it does not place the goods in my checkout and many of the graphics are missing on the page. Any thoughts? TC .. **This looks like a different sort of issue, so we'll make a new topic for it instead of using the old thread. - admin
