I'm losing control of my keyboard!
Hello all! I'm a brand new user of WSA (internet Security Plus) and am having problems with my keyboard going nuts on me when I am in one of my favorite websites, the New York Times. When I go to post a comment, after a while the periods ( . ) become ">" and the cut and paste function as well as the backspace function no longer work .What's frustrating is that it can happen anytime. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to how or when it happens. I don't know what's causing this but certainly I didn't have the problem before I installed WSA. Anyone got a solution? I'm still trying to understand the features of WSA, having had it installed for only two days now.
Hacking Super-Weapon Can Crack Encrypted Passwords In Seconds

Any possible impact upon Webroot Password Manager? Quote: Passwords are encrypted in many different ways - some with more complex algorithms at their core than others - so the time it takes to crack them can vary massively. But because many companies, including some popular online services, use outdated or cheaper encryption methods - or store their passwords badly - customers can be put at risk. The machine is able to test 348 billion NTLM password hashes per second. A four
I always have 2 threats removed
If I scan an item, even a word document Webroot reports that it removed two threats. If I scan the document again Webroot says the same thing, two threats removed. It does not matter how many times I scan somthing or what I am scaning, it always reports that 2 threats have been removed. If I do a systeam scan the same thing happens, two threats removed. My systeam does not seem to be infected, I am not sure why this is happening. Below is part of a scan log, if that is usful. Thanks for any help. Passwords do not display when signed in to account
Right, I sign in and go to the passwords. The page loads except that the top 20% is shielded by the opaque grey that does not allow me to access the passwords grayed out. Also, I am a bit upset that when I went to a web site and downloaded "Reimage" Webroot did not warn me about the site or the product. Ended up doing a factory default restore.
New Member - Mixbook and Microsoft Website Won't Load
Hi~ For the past two weeks the following sites won't work properly unless I turn off Webroot: www.mixbook.com (after login, I'm no longer able to load personal albums from the site) www.microsoft.com - I'm trying to access an addon for OneNote 2007. Here is the link I've tried to access. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/descapa/archive/2007/02/17/sort-pages-powertoy.aspx Other users appear to have access to these sites and the Mixbook support team told me the problem is with my security software. I've already added the site addresses to Webroot's Webthreat Shield as allowed sites but they still won't load using multiple browsers unless I disable Webroot. Any suggestions to correct this problem would be very much appreciated.
Password manager says unknown email address
I just got done installing webroot internet plus. I activated the passwords from the control panel and waited about a half hour and tried to use it. When logging in it tells me unknown email address. Did I miss a step when I activated it? The next day witch is today I tried to use it again when I got home and tells me the same thing. I tried doing the tool bar fix but that did not work. I have searched the forums for and answer and have been unable to find anything that can help me fix this problem. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob
Noy impressed .... uninsatlled!
My wifes brand new laptop (Toshiba Satellite/4 gig ram/dual i3 processor) came with McAfee on a 30 day trial. This was uninstalled using the McAfee removal tool. When I had bought a new desktop from Ebuyer a few months ago they.gifted me a copy of Webroot Security Everywhere Essentials 2012 which was still cellowrapped and unused so I thought that this was the ideal opportunity to try it out. Installation was easy and without a hitch and all seemed to be well untill I tried to reboot. Windows started to load followed by a black screen with cursor for between 30 secs and 1 minute. The Welcome screen eventually appeard and again hung for 30 secs to 1min. This was followed by a black screen, again, for 30 secs to 1min. At last the desktop wallpaper appeared but with no taskbar icons. I was about to reach for my Acronis rescue disk when the taskbar icons slowly started to load. I rebooted three times with the same result every time .... total time to get everything apparently loaded

How do I stay on Essentials (or should I say Internet Security Plus) when I renew my license?
Am now an ex-Essentials user who is in limbo between Internet Security Plus & Complete. My auto renewal proposal is Complete for 1 year for 5 PCs, for £49.99, with no option to either reduce the number of PCs in the license or what will be effectively to stay with Essentials, ie, renew to an Internet Security PLus license for 3 PCs. Can anyone advise what I can do to get what I want, ie, Internet Security Plus for 3 PCs rather than Complete for 5 PCs? Thanks in advance. Balders
I have my scan schedule set to scan daily before noon when the computer is idle. I turn the computer on about 8AM everyday, and leave while I'm doing other things around the house. When I get on the computer around 11AM it still has not performed a scan. I usually 'wake' up the computer by moving the mouse. ( I just have the screen saver go blank after 10 minutes and the monitor turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity, but leave the HDD and System Standby running). It was performing the scan after I woke it up, but lately it doesn't and I run it manually. Does the monitor and screen saver turning off cause it not to perform the scheduled scan?
MBAM Pro Update Button Grayed Out. WSA Bug?
I just want to info the members here on Webroots Community Forum about a possible "Bug" with WSA and MBAM. Every once in a while the Update Button is grayed out on MBAM. This has been seen using Windows XP only. There is a Post started on Wilders Security Forum about this: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=334749 There are also other Posts about this on the MBAM Forum. Yesterday I sent in a Support Ticket and Logs using Webroot's log-gathering utility.
Can You Help Me Please!
I deactivated my computer from the webroot online console and now cannot get it back on there, wondering if anyone could help me out? I also cannot get the toolbar working even after doing the repair install/download. I used to have a subscription to security essentials and both that account and my new account are showing up in the online console wondering if that may have something to do with it as they both were purchased using the same email address? If so, how can I remove my old account with the expired keycode? Thank You very much for your time!
SecureAnywhere install not showing up in web console (and, 1 vs. 3?)
Hello, I installed SecureAnywhere Internet Security Plus on my laptop a few days ago and I haven't gotten to check the web console until just now (I've used Webroot products on mobile before and have an account on the web console). Interesting thing is, this aforementioned latest install isn't showing up on the web console. How could that have happened? (another issue: The keycode I entered in my keycode DB on the web console shows that it's only valid for one install, but the "box" says its valid for three installs, or as the box calls it: "Protects 3 devices".)
New member in need of help
Just purchased Webroot Secure Anywhere with Password Manager. I am having a problem logging into my Secure Anywhere account via the IE or Firefox toolbar icon. Keeps telling me that it does not recognise the email acount I used - even though it is the same account I used to set up the account. Does not matter which browser I use. Can anyone help?
Chrome Browser (yeah again...)
I do not care about the WR toolbar, but am I protected using Chrome when I am visiting sites? I am using the current version, 22.0.1229.94 m, but see no signs of WebRoot as an extension, or in blocking any sites I have visited, although I generally only visit the big name sites like MS.com for example. If using Chrome is a liability, then this should have been more clearly stated when I purchased the product. I use Chrome 99% of the time.
