I just bought a new pc a couple weeks ago and installed WebRoot. This pc has a 30 day trial of McAfee already on it and it says that the McAfee trial period is almost over. Since I have WebRoot installed, do I need the McAfee or is WebRoot good enough?

Hello CrappieWizard and Welcome to the Webroot Community Forums!

Yes WSA is all you need with Windows firewall on as well you can use this McAfee Removal Tool from David's list to remove McAfee fully. Also have a look at this post to learn more about WSA and look at the link posted in that post and also the 3 videos:https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/Webroot-question/m-p/76985#M5582 and Windows Firewall with WSA's Firewall: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/SecureAnywhere/PC/WSA_PC_Help.htm#C4_Firewall/CH4a_ManagingFirewall.htm

If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

HTH,

TH ;)
I looked at my Windows firewall and it is managed by MacAfee. Does this mean I need to subscribe to MacAfee as well as Webroot to maintain the windows firewall?
