I purchased a laptop from Best Buy a year ago, I renewed my Webroot online and it still says it is expired.  It shows as current online, not sure what is going on...

@,

Welcome to the Webroot Community!

Please use these instructions to apply your new keycode to your software and update your subscription information:

1. Open the Webroot program and click the gear icon next to "My Account."
2. Enter your keycode in the field provided under "Activate a new keycode” and click "Activate."
3. If a scan starts automatically, allow the scan to complete.

To see our user guide page of these steps, including images, please click here.

This should update your program and there is nothing further you need to do.

Please do not hesitate to respond back here if you require further assistance, I would be happy to assist.

Best Regards,

I already did that and it still says expired

@,

Thank you for the reply.

If it is still saying expired after entering your new keycode you will need to uninstall and reinstall the program.

I have provided instructions on how to do this below:

* * Part 1: Uninstall * *

1a.  For Windows XP/ Windows Vista / Windows 7:

     Open the Windows Start menu.
     Click Programs or All Programs, then navigate to the Webroot SecureAnywhere folder.
     Under Webroot SecureAnywhere, open the Tools folder, then click Uninstall Webroot.
     Click Yes and follow any prompts that appear.

1b.  For Windows 8:

     Move your cursor to the bottom right of the screen to open the Charm Bar menu.
     Click Search, then type "appwiz.cpl" (without quotes), and press Enter on your keyboard.
     Scroll down the programs list until you see the Webroot security product.
     Click the Webroot security product entry once to select it, then click Uninstall/Remove.
     When asked if you are sure you want to uninstall, click Yes and follow any prompts that appear.

**Please restart your computer after completing the uninstall**

* * Part 2: Install * *

To reinstall, click here.

1.  Save the file to your desktop.
2.  Double-click "wsabbs2.exe" to run the installer.
3.  Enter your keycode when prompted.
4.  Click Agree and Install.
5.  If asked "Would you like to automatically import the settings that were used in your previous installation?", click No.  Webroot SecureAnywhere reinstalls itself.

A scan may begin automatically, depending on how recently a scan was completed.

After doing this you should see the that everything is working as intended.

If you have any issues doing this, or require further assistance, I would advise creating a support ticket or giving our team a call and they can do this for you.
