Unable to "Trust" self-signed localhost development certificates

I’ve battling most of this week to understand why I cannot generate a trusted self-signed development certificate for use on localhost. By accident I stumbled on the fact that Webroot blocks this from happening; with no warning. Disabling Webroot allows the the process to produce a trusted certificate.

Short of just disabling Webroot during development work, which would then render the subscription virtually pointless, is there a way around this? I can’t find anything obvious in the settings to allow this process to continue/complete.

Hello @nathanjwtx

All I can suggest is to contact Webroot support and ask them directly.

Webroot Support:

Submit a ticket

Call 1-866-612-4227 during the week: Mon - Fri 7 AM to 7 PM (MDT)

Thanks,

Yep that’s basically what I did. I’m now jumping through support hoops :)
