Can my Browser Settings Block My Ability to Post in One Particular Forum?
There is a forum on the Web where I yearn to post. For six months, when I attempt it I receive the following: ________________, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. I use Firefox, Edge, and Chrome browsers; all three receive the same error message. Eight months ago I was able to post in the forum. Others are posting. The site is up and running. I’m in contact with the site admin. Can it be Webroot?
What to do about LastPass
Heard about the breach and I was wondering if we need to do anything? I use a long master password with mixed letters, numbers and special characters. Do we continue to use Lastpass?Do we need to change all our passwords?Should we switch to another password manager?Should we even use a password manager at all?Are you still using Lastpass and are you going to continue?I was always reluctant to use a password manager because I feared this very thing. But then I gave in and it was nice not to have to remember all those passwords; especially ones that you don’t use often. Now I’m not so sure nice was enough. I also use 2FA when available.Luckily I refused to store any financial passwords in this or any manager.I tried to look up info on these very questions but I did not find what I was looking for. Thus this post.Thanks.
I just performed a scan today and I got several messages - In Hardware it says Graphics RAM is Low and Impacting Performance how do you fix it is, indeed, LOW; Software - says an Active Process has a Possible Leak in Chrome.exe, how can this be fixed? And Temp Files found 1087mb Windows/IE only, I can delete these, correct?
Question about Licenses
I'll attempt to be as clear as possible. I have been using Webroot IS for almost a year. I have 60 days left on my subscription. This subscription was for a 5-user license. However, I've only used 2 or 3 (if my tablet counts as one) of those licenses. In addition, back in December 2013, I also purchased a 5 user license of WSA Complete. (It was a great deal on New Egg that I couldn't pass up.) My son used one of those licenses for about a month and then switched back to another AV. I have not used any of the other licenses. So, my question is 1) do I still have unused IS licenses that I can use to extend my 60 days; and 2) do I still have Complete licenses that I can use to add-on or extend my 60 days? Thank you.

Removing Devices from Security Summary
I had some problems with my laptop and reinstalled Windows 11 to factory settings a few times and reinstalled Webroot Anywhere. Now, the Security Summary shows that Webroot is protecting 3 devices but it’s the same laptop. Is there a way to remove two of them to show that there is only one device protected? Also, I might want to install Webroot on two more PCs, Will I still able to do that, even though the Security Summary shows that 3 devices are protected. I have the Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Plus for 3 devices.
Create a NEW My Account?? Why? Is this May 2022 popup even from Webroot?
I have had a Webroot account for years now, but each morning for about the last week when I start my Windows 10 PC, this popup appears telling me to “click here” to “create a NEW My Account.” Is this (late May 2022) popup even from Webroot? If it is, why am I being asked to create an account when I already have one (sounds highly suspicious to me)? If the popup is not from Webroot, what steps should I take to eradicate the little vermin? Thank you.
How to get assistance?
I purchased a package online 1 week ago. Have had problems from the get go. Opened a ticket almost immediately. No response whatsoever. Continued to ask questions in the same open ticket. Have asked 6 times. Yet ZERO response. Funnily enough, yesterday, received what looks like an automatic generated email asking me to review my recent purchase. Totally unsatisfactory and wish to get a complete refund as the the service is not only pathetic but the security package for 5 devices is only downloading to my computer as the mobile app is not even available in the country where I live. How to get a refund when the questions I’m asking are not even being answered? Consumer affairs? A very disgruntled customer. Singapore
How do I get support from this broken and useless company?
I have used Webroot Secure Anywhere for almost 5 years. I paid for 3 computers and I was always very happy and renewed every year. Until now. Now, every time I turn on my computer a message pops up telling me to create a new “My Account”. So I tried. Several times. I cannot log into my account. It says “username or password is incorrect”. Well which is it? is it the username or the password? I am not a mind reader. You have to tell me what the problem is.So I try to reset my password -- and the nightmare begins. I cannot reset my password -- the email that they are supposed to send never arrives (have tried several times ... checked spam folder ... etc.). THE PASSWORD RESET EMAIL IS NEVER SENT!!!I submitted a ticket with support and 7 days ago they told me that they couldn’t help me online “for security reasons” and I had to call. So I called the phone number I was given. Several times. And every time I am on hold forever.I do not have unlimited time. I am not going to sit
Can't get anyone from Sales on the phone - this is day 3. Also issues with online response to support ticket.
I need to modify my subscription. I have now left 3 messages with Sales, and no response whatever. In addition, I raised a support ticket when the last DNS Threat Protection outage occurred, and have had no email response. Now 3 or 4 days.Phone Tech Support response, however, is fast enough. But I’m concerned about what’s going on at Webroot where reaching sales is such a problem. BTW have also left messages with Billing, and no callback from them either.
Should I be concerned because my chrome://management says that my browser is managed?
The following message is displayed when I access chrome://management: "This browser is managed by a company, school or other organization. Your administrator can change your browser setup remotely. Activity on this device may also be managed outside of chrome." Chrome is installed on my home computer whose administrator I am . What could I do to remove this management? I saw a lot of complaints of this type on the WEB, but no solution was provided. I have installed Weebroot Internet security plus on my system and it didn't alert me that something suspicious happens in my browser. Any suggestion to identify who manages my browser or how to remove this management is welcome. Thanks!!!
Internet Security Complete??
I bought my program as a package through Best Buy (Internet Security Plus), but I was a Webroot fan/customer for many years before that. Yesterday, I was able to use the “Optimizer” function in the Utility page. Fast forward one day (today) and the option is gone and it looks like that option is only available with the Internet Security Complete subscription. Is the Best Buy subscription only for Internet Security Plus, or should I be getting the Internet Security Complete subscription? Thanks, Ken McKinley
How do I scan an entire network drive?
I have a small NAS attached to my network. I have it mapped as the Z: drive on the computers on the network. I want to periodically scan the drive with Webroot from one of those computers (I don’t care which one, as long as I can get it to work). That does not seem to be possible right now. When I right-click on the Z: drive in File Explorer and select Scan with Webroot, it only scans the root directory and quits. If I select a folder below the root, it scans that folder but none of its sub-folders.So, it appears that on a mapped network drive Webroot is unable to scan anything more than a single directory at a time. This is a problem/defect that appears to go back at least 8 years. The only other reference I could find on here was a topic that was created 8 years ago describing the same problem. The most recent post in that topic was 6 years ago and the problem still existed then.Has the defect been corrected since then? If so, what do I need to do to persuade Webroot to scan more than
