Hello, I'm using Firefox 58.02 (64 bit). Up until the last few days, the password manager has worked just fine. Now, all of a sudden, when I try to log in to the manager it either says it can't contact the server or it says nothing at all and just never logs me in. This is happening in Firefox on multiple computers. The manager works just fine in Chrome.

I found the Filtering Extension add-on in Chrome tonight -- I enabled that and the Password Manager. Now, when I Google for a website, the link appears then in seconds turns to something like this: nullWebroot URL Classification Category: Uncategorized Confidence: 0 Scand I can't click on the link. For now I'm going to disable the add-on but any info is appreciated!
I recently changed my password on the secureanywhere web interface and it works fine, but when I want to go into Password tab on the webroot site it shows " try again later or wait 5 minutes". Image of popup i.imgur.com/47ZbbX6.jpg The other problem I'm having is the webroot password manage app for firefox wants me to use the old password to log on not the new password. I have closed firefox cleared cache and cookies restarted the pc and still having the problem. Thank you P.S. This was post to support and they wrote back on how to change my primary email.
This morning, when I attempted to upgrade my Windows 8.0 x64 system from the Microsoft Store to Windows 8.1, the file downloaded just fine, but when it attempted to install the upgrade, I kept getting error code 0x80070057. I tried googling this, but had no luck. I then disabled Webroot Secure Anyware and the upgrade was able to complete with no problem. I don't know if anyone else has had the same problem, but I thought that I would share my experience. Steve
I am not saying it was because of upgrading to Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials but I never noticed it prior. I read about the wireless keyboard issue but not wired. Just figured I would throw this out as a possibility? OK - I have tried this with two different external Microsoft Keyboards. 1. I will be using my keyboard and bouncing between keys and keypad. I normally just use the DEL key on the KeyPad for the most part. All of a sudden, I will hit the DEL key and a period comes up as if it changed into NumLock mode. As a matter of fact, all the KeyPad keys work as they should as if I had it in NumLock Mode without the NumLock indicator being lit on keyboard. I tried hitting the NumLock key to get it back to normal but nothing changes - it is as though it is stuck in NumLock mode. I might add - when I do hit NumLock - the indicator will come on and when I hit it again - the NumLock indicator light goes out but it seems to still be in NumLock Mode. 2. I thought it was a tired keybo
Hello, I think I have come across another "bug" concerning the "Scan with webroot" on right click menu. I don't know what causes it but at random times on all my computers running Webroot Secure Anywhere Essentials 2012 Version 126.96.36.199 the "Scan with webroot" on right menu stops working. What happens is I right click on a file or folder and and click on "Scan with webroot" and then nothing happens. I get no pop up box from Secure Anywhere showing its scanning. And when this bug happens the only way I seem to be able to get "Scan with webroot" working again I have to shut down Secure Anywhere Essentials and restart it. Once I do that "Scan with webroot" works like normal again until the random bug happens again. But like I said I have no idea what makeit happen in the first place. But there must be a bug somewhere in the software that neess to be fixed. Anyone else here every have this happen? Thanks
Hi, I'm a user of the former Internet Security Essentials. As far as I know since Webroot realeased version 8.0.2 my license should has been upgraded to Internet Security Complete. I still have activated my Backup feature but I don't have access to the Password Manager. Furthermore, I have to renew my license in the next month and according with the renewal form my current product is Webroot Security Complete. Do I have any problem with my license or it's just the transition process is not over yet? Thanks
Hi everyone! I uninstalled Webroot from my Windows 10 system through control panel with no apparent problems. Webroot is gone from programs list but Istill have some remnants of the program. For example, in the startup tab within task manager I have following startup item: Webroot Installer. Also if you go to SETTINGS , click System , then click Notification & Actions and then click: Select Which Icons Appear On TheTaskbar, within that list I have an entry called WRSA.exe (which I can turn on or off in the notification area in taskbar). How can I completely remove all entries of the Webroot from my system? Does anyone know a cleanup or uninstall tool to completely remove all left over entries? If not, is there a way to manually remove all leftover entries? Thank you so much for your help!
I've been a dedicated Webroot user for 3 years... until now. I downloaded the SecureAnywhere update a few weeks ago, and since then the service has basically stopped working. SecureAnywhere never found any viruses, spyware, or malware, despite repeated and regular scans. This would be great if I didn't know for a fact that my computer was infected. In the last few days it has gotten to the point that every other time I click on a search result from Google, I am taken to a completely unrelated website. Since my subscription ends in a couple days, I decided to download the free trail for AVG Internet Security and see if it would help. As soon as I started the program, it detected and removed a trojan, which Webroot hadn't detected during the scan a few hours ago. I hadn't even run a scan yet! As soon as AVG removed the trojan, the problem stopped. I was a huge fan of Spy Sweeper, but SecureAnywhere turned out to be a waste of my time (and money). I used to be a huge Webroot fan and r
Hi all, I've already contacted support about this and I'm getting nowhere so I thought I'd try here. Last month I bought SecureAnywhere Essentials for 5 PCs. Today I wanted to try out the Backup & Sync solution but no matter what I do, I am getting an error that my credentials are invalid. Also, I had decided to look into upgrading so I could use the password manager features. When I go to upgrade/renew on my account though, it says I "You are currntly using the best security protection for your PC." and that I own Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete. Yet, there is no password manager in the software I have installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and am running 188.8.131.52. Any idea why the discrepency in versions and why the backup tool won't recognize me? Is everything lost in some kind of transition with the new product line? Support has just asked me to reinstall again and keeps telling me my license is for Essentials, despite what the site is telling me.
I run Webroot Secure anywhere and I haven't found the Webroot filtering extension for Firefox on Waterfox, a 64 bit reiteration of Firefox. When I had to install a 32 bit browser for BattleField 3 I found that it immediatly prompted me to install it for regular Firefox. Again I have not been able to sucessfully find the prompt for Waterfox after reinstalling WSA. Is the plugin 64 bit ready for FF?
I am so very frustrated. I work full time, and I go to school full time, so I have a very limited amount of time, but I spent the whole day trying to get rid of this Win.Useradded trojan. Webroot did not even discover that I had it until I ran rkill, malware bytes, then ad-aware and then hijackthis. Now my computer is not responding (I do not have permission to reinstall internet explorer 10). I am locked out of doing so many things. Files are missing. I am at my wits end! I have a Windows 7 system, so I am guessing I have whatever Microsoft was trying to prevent everyone from getting. Well, too late. PLEASE HELP ME! Anyone! Soon for both my computer's sake, my 2 online classes sake, my calculus class, and my physics course (which I have to complete homework online) and finally for my own sake (seriously, everything is falling apart in my life and this is just one more thing). It has disabled Microsoft Security Essentials. Any time I run Webroot and Webroot finds an
Hello, Since yesterday both my Windows 7 pcs are displaying the UAC prompt ( user account control ) Webroot wants to make changes to windows at every bootup. I have to click yes each time for webroot to load. If I change the User account control settings to never notify me then I do not get the prompts. I do not want to do this in case any unwanted programs make changes to windows or install. Please help. Stephen
I've been struggling with this for quite a while and just saw the issue of Firefox crashing on launch correlated with Protected Applications. Yeah I've had that happening for a couple weeks and blaming Win8. But something I've been struggling with even longer is Opera (another protected application) and using the simple and common Alt-D keystroke that simply positions the focus to the address field. Then I had the same problem in Quicken 2012, but only on one screen where I happen to use the Alt key as a short cut. So Webroot Protection (identity) seems to be a common link. Disabling all of these applications from "Protected" seems to resolve the problems. What's going on specifically is this. In Opera, when I press Alt-D, focus initially shifts to the address field (as you'd expect it to) but then when I release the Alt key (in slow motion, one hits Alt, then D, then releases D, then releases Alt), focus shifts to the File menu item (as in File, Edit, etc)...it doesn
I uninstalled Webroot from Windows 8 64 bit, using the recommended deactivate/reboot method. After uninstall and another reboot, going into IE10/Manage Add Ons, all three instances of Webroot, Webroot Vault, Webroot toolbar still remain. How do I get a clean uninstall of Weboot and it's toolbars?
Anybody experiencing this 'featurette'. Uncheck the 'Scan on boot up if computer....' option under the Scan Schedule tabs in Settings, and then check on it after a reboot or the following morning (when you would usually have rebooted if you switch your PC off overnight). Does anybody find that the option has somehow gotten itself rechecked, ie, it is ON again? Have just noticed this (but to be fair have had some issues with this option before & uninstalled completely and reinstalled to try to resolve it.) Be interested to see if this is happening to anyone. Am running latest build .193. Regards Balders
