My WiFi Security will not connect when prompted. I have logged out and logged in with no change. Have also restarted my laptop no change in status. Help me with this problem, please. Oliver Nusser ~snip Removed email address, please don’t post your email address in public snip~
When using computer the internet would go down all of a sudden or disconnect. This didn’t happen just once, numerous times through the day/evening when using my pc…. very frustrating!!! Sometimes I would even have to shut the computer down and restart. Couple weeks ago I stopped signing in to use the wifi security program and I have had NO problems since. Looking at removing the wifi security.
I keep getting a message saying that my wifi vpn security login information is wrong, I just purchased a 3 device script from Webroot, can someone help
For some reason anytime I try setting up an account for Webroot Wifi Security, I am unable to create an account or I am told that I am entering the wrong username or password. I just purchased a 3 device subscription from the Webroot site on my Windows 10 laptop, which is the first of 3 devices that is not letting me register or activate the software. I installed the new update for Wifi console and now when I connect it will not allow me to connect to the internet. I am in no way shape or form knowledgeable about computers. I know how to use apps, not how they work. So any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for any help. sthannahs
I too am now having ‘VPN not connecting’ error. Running 18.104.22.168. I uninstalled/reinstalled/rebooted. No change, Message is “connection failure” on the pink band at top of the “Connect” green screen. Using ‘Automatic Location’. OS is Windows 10. Haven’t tried the Android version lately. Ideas?
I can’t login to Webroot Wifi Security. When I try, I get the message “Wifi Security can’t connect. Please check your internet connection and try again”. There is no internet connection issue - I am posting this with the internet connection that I have. I have never had an issue logging in until I recently extended my subscription for 1 year. When calling in, I was told that my subscription has been extended on my current e-mail account, but I have no way of seeing whether that has happened - my Webroot Secure Anywhere account tells me I have a number of days remaining, but my Wifi Security account says nothing about a current subscription or how long it has to go (though I renewed to December 2020). Not sure why it’s so hard to extend a subscription or get a solution to this. I understand things go wrong sometimes, but I would expect this kind of issue to be solved fairly promptly after having paid for the service. If you have not yet verified your account using the verification email, you must do so before logging in.” I’ve been a Webroot customer on and off for a couple of years- but I recently bought a subscription to the computer security. I decided to purchase the VPN (WiFi Security) upgrade but cannot log in to the WiFi securty on my phone or computer because it’s claiming that I have not verified my email. There are no verification emails that have not been clicked- I’m not sure how to proceed, but I need to get this done to continue working from my home office.
I have and ASUS router and I have the option to load a VPN service so all my devices would be protected. I purchased the Webroot VPN assuming I could utilize the VPN configuration on my router. Is there an option within Webroot to do this? If not I would need to cancel with Webroot and utilize another VPN service. I hate to leave as I also have the Webroot antivirus suite as well. Please advise Thanks.
Even since I installed this app on my Android phone (Samsung S8) probably close to a year ago, it is completely unstable and unpredictable. Sometimes it connects fine and other times it tells me my password is wrong when I haven’t changed it from time when it did connect. Even when I can login it refuses to connect to a VPN server. Yet sometimes this works just fine. Sometimes I can connect via my wifi connections, other times I can’t. Sometimes I can connect via my cellular provider network and sometimes I can’t. Seems I’m not the only one with this problem. Yes I’ve force stopped the application, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app multiple times and it never seems to clear up these issues. Seems I’m not the only one with these problems. I opened a support ticket shortly after first installing this product and still it continues to have issues. Why can't your developers seems to fix these problems? It's not worth the money I spent and probably won’t renew my subscription.
This bug was reported a year ago in a Windows environment, but I’m reporting that it still exists in a MacOS environment. Exactly the same behavior: When attempting to add a trusted wi-fi network the application crashes. Has anyone been able to resolve the issue?
Starting last Saturday, when I try to use my Canon printer to scan documents, it gives me an error message. There were no problems in printing or copying. I contacted to Canon’s support group and we found that if we took Webroot down for a moment, that I was able to scan. Can someone tell me what to do so that I don't have to take Webroot down every time that I want to scan something? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
I’ve had WR WiFi Security for a while, but only in the last 2 weeks or so have I actively been using it. I’m finding that I get my emails sporadically or not at all and when I send an email - it is getting hung up. I have to disconnect from the WR WiF Security in order to successfully send the email/receive current/days past emails. Additionally, I’m now getting a lot of spam where in the past (before I started using WR WiFi Security) I never got spam. I constantly get messages from Windows Live Mail that the mail server timed out. I’ve looked at this forum for answers but I haven’t found any.
I’ve noticed that the Quit option is only accessed from the hidden icons list, but “WiFiSecurity.Service” continues to run in the background and use 30,980K of memory according to Windows Task Manager. If I End Now from the WTM, it dies down to ~16,300K of memory. What’s up with this?
