While I have installed Webroot Wifi Security on a number of devices, I have not used it on anything in over a week, maybe two. But today when I tried to use it on my main iPhone, I was told I already have 3 devices connected. I would claim impossible since my other devices are not with me, sitting at home not logged in. So how do I discover what 3 devices are supposedly connected? And is there a remote way to just say, when logging in, to logout all other devices?I doubt my account has been compromised and someone else is using it, but how would I know? Thanks
OK, I bought it and I am using it on my PC now. My download speed before VPN = 215mbps. My download speed after VPN = 26mbps. This is not a minor slowdown as your sales information states. I am in Texas and I selected US west as a favorite but it auto selects Mexico. Tell me this speed issue can be fixed.
I purchased and installed the Windows version of VPN Wifi and cannot login. This is NOT the Beta version. I also did the steps in the email including registration and I do see reference to the Wifi product on my Webroot Security dashboard, I have tried the password used when buying Wifi and the password used when buying Internet Security, any help is appreciated. ..but, as is always the case, you have no way to know without trying it yourself. It's not worth it for my family. We've been running the VPN software on our Android phones and three computers for a few weeks now. On one laptop computer, we simply uninstalled it. It caused too many directly attributable connection problems, whether because it was incompatible with the computer, our wifi, or our Internet provider is unknown . It's working okay on another laptop. That one laptop gives me hope. On my desktop it is simply causing more and more problems that are clearly latency-related. Latency within the computer and network latency. I've proved it to myself by running identical software with and without the VPN, and trying the same connections within the same short time frames with and without the VPN running. On the cell phones the VPN seems to run in the background with no observed latency issues, though it does interfere with things like Google microphone, and fr
Hello. I'm using an Orbi RBK 53 mesh router for my home WiFi. Multiple Windows PCs, iOS mobile devices, smart TV, and other IoT devices are attached by either ethernet or Wifi connection. Some questions. 1) ls Webroot Wifi Security VPN completely compatible with the Orbi Mesh system when the Webroot VPN app is installed on PCs and mobile devices attached to the Internet through the Orbi router? 2) Can Webroot WiFi Security VPN be installed on the router system to protect devices attached to the Internet through the Orbi mesh router, when the devices do not themselves have the Webroot VPN app installed on them? 3) Does Webroot WiFi Security VPN have the ability to designated or purchase a dedicated IPN address for a VPN server? 4) Does the Webroot WiFi VPN use OpenVPN? Thanks or any help you can provide.
This is my first time using a VPN, & I was wondering how I connect to various websites. I have tried & the connection is terminated. Being a newbie, really don’t understand the process, I hope you don’t mind taking the time to explain how to connect & the process.
Even since I installed this app on my Android phone (Samsung S8) probably close to a year ago, it is completely unstable and unpredictable. Sometimes it connects fine and other times it tells me my password is wrong when I haven’t changed it from time when it did connect. Even when I can login it refuses to connect to a VPN server. Yet sometimes this works just fine. Sometimes I can connect via my wifi connections, other times I can’t. Sometimes I can connect via my cellular provider network and sometimes I can’t. Seems I’m not the only one with this problem. Yes I’ve force stopped the application, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app multiple times and it never seems to clear up these issues. Seems I’m not the only one with these problems. I opened a support ticket shortly after first installing this product and still it continues to have issues. Why can't your developers seems to fix these problems? It's not worth the money I spent and probably won’t renew my subscription.
Ok, according to your website, Webroot Wifi Security should run on Mac 10.9.x. So I downloaded the dmg file, dragged the app to Applications and launched it. Many of the apps buttons and images are garbage, looking like static rather than images. The connect button is missing as well. The icon in the menu bar looks like a box of white static. If I hover around the connection screen, I can find the missing buttons because the cursor changes to a button press cursor when over the "missing" button. If I press it, it connects. BUT, connections speeds are almost non-existent on 10.9, failing to sometimes even connect, but even when connected, speeds are in bytes per second. (As a test, I ran on the same Wifi network using my Android phone, and speeds were good enough to stream videos.) I have screen captures of the apps window but I see no way to attach them here. But I would say regardless of what this page (https://www.web
I keep getting a message saying that my wifi vpn security login information is wrong, I just purchased a 3 device script from Webroot, can someone help
For some reason anytime I try setting up an account for Webroot Wifi Security, I am unable to create an account or I am told that I am entering the wrong username or password. I just purchased a 3 device subscription from the Webroot site on my Windows 10 laptop, which is the first of 3 devices that is not letting me register or activate the software. Could someone please help. Thank you for reading,
I too am now having ‘VPN not connecting’ error. Running 220.127.116.11. I uninstalled/reinstalled/rebooted. No change, Message is “connection failure” on the pink band at top of the “Connect” green screen. Using ‘Automatic Location’. OS is Windows 10. Haven’t tried the Android version lately. Ideas?
I’ve noticed that the Quit option is only accessed from the hidden icons list, but “WiFiSecurity.Service” continues to run in the background and use 30,980K of memory according to Windows Task Manager. If I End Now from the WTM, it dies down to ~16,300K of memory. What’s up with this?
WiFi Security connection failure. Previous version was fine, just paid $85 (WITH TAXES) and can’t get online unless I disconnect Security. Webroot was awesome until it changed hands. Now I will not be renewing my subscription and will file a complaint with Paypal that I used to renew WiFi Security. Run like hell people!!!
