“Check your credentials and try again. If you have not yet verified your account using the verification email, you must do so before logging in.” I’ve been a Webroot customer on and off for a couple of years- but I recently bought a subscription to the computer security. I decided to purchase the VPN (WiFi Security) upgrade but cannot log in to the WiFi securty on my phone or computer because it’s claiming that I have not verified my email. There are no verification emails that have not been clicked- I’m not sure how to proceed, but I need to get this done to continue working from my home office.
I have and ASUS router and I have the option to load a VPN service so all my devices would be protected. I purchased the Webroot VPN assuming I could utilize the VPN configuration on my router. Is there an option within Webroot to do this? If not I would need to cancel with Webroot and utilize another VPN service. I hate to leave as I also have the Webroot antivirus suite as well. Please advise Thanks.
Even since I installed this app on my Android phone (Samsung S8) probably close to a year ago, it is completely unstable and unpredictable. Sometimes it connects fine and other times it tells me my password is wrong when I haven’t changed it from time when it did connect. Even when I can login it refuses to connect to a VPN server. Yet sometimes this works just fine. Sometimes I can connect via my wifi connections, other times I can’t. Sometimes I can connect via my cellular provider network and sometimes I can’t. Seems I’m not the only one with this problem. Yes I’ve force stopped the application, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app multiple times and it never seems to clear up these issues. Seems I’m not the only one with these problems. I opened a support ticket shortly after first installing this product and still it continues to have issues. Why can't your developers seems to fix these problems? It's not worth the money I spent and probably won’t renew my subscription.
This bug was reported a year ago in a Windows environment, but I’m reporting that it still exists in a MacOS environment. Exactly the same behavior: When attempting to add a trusted wi-fi network the application crashes. Has anyone been able to resolve the issue?
Starting last Saturday, when I try to use my Canon printer to scan documents, it gives me an error message. There were no problems in printing or copying. I contacted to Canon’s support group and we found that if we took Webroot down for a moment, that I was able to scan. Can someone tell me what to do so that I don't have to take Webroot down every time that I want to scan something? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
I’ve had WR WiFi Security for a while, but only in the last 2 weeks or so have I actively been using it. I’m finding that I get my emails sporadically or not at all and when I send an email - it is getting hung up. I have to disconnect from the WR WiF Security in order to successfully send the email/receive current/days past emails. Additionally, I’m now getting a lot of spam where in the past (before I started using WR WiFi Security) I never got spam. I constantly get messages from Windows Live Mail that the mail server timed out. I’ve looked at this forum for answers but I haven’t found any.
I’ve noticed that the Quit option is only accessed from the hidden icons list, but “WiFiSecurity.Service” continues to run in the background and use 30,980K of memory according to Windows Task Manager. If I End Now from the WTM, it dies down to ~16,300K of memory. What’s up with this?
There are quite a few comments about annoying pop-ups; the Webroot wifi ‘reconnecting’ pop-up shows regularly as I move to different locations and each time it tries to reconnect. The pop-up does not have an ‘x’ to close, can not be drag and dropped or resized and covers key commands on top right of screen (e.g., while I am working in word, on the internet, etc. What is the solution to stop causing me to have to resize my “work” due to the Webroot pop-up - this is not needed for your product to function and I am not sure what I could/should do if it is reconnecting anyway?
I have to routinely disconnect my VPN throughout the day as email does not download and I cannot gain access a subscription website. The two problem email servers are protonmail and chaossoftware. The 3rd blocked website is a streaming video website (I get the login page, but cannot log in). I am a registered language editor of their videos and am on and off the site regularly throughout the day. I have to disconnect VPN to gain access to these sites. This has become a major headache. Connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect all day long. I also have a very long password for my VPN, so it is not like entering abc123 each time! :) Is there a correct procedure or workaround or is this a symptom of VPN in general? Thank you in advance for your reply. Skye
Hi there, I am unable to send an email from the MAC app on OS Catalina. As soon as I disable to Wifi security it sends the email. I travel a lot for work and like to have the Wifi security enabled at all time. Is there a workaround or setting I need to change for this? Thank you
I have problems both trying to “connect” at times (and no certain reason why … and “connecting” but cannot access the web using firefox. This occurs on both desktop and laptop. Ran/run network troubleshooter and says problem is with settings for security and firewall. Not smart enough to know what to check for and/or change in these settings. I have the latest win 10 update environment. Advice?
WiFi Security connection failure. Previous version was fine, just paid $85 (WITH TAXES) and can’t get online unless I disconnect Security. Webroot was awesome until it changed hands. Now I will not be renewing my subscription and will file a complaint with Paypal that I used to renew WiFi Security. Run like hell people!!!
While I have installed Webroot Wifi Security on a number of devices, I have not used it on anything in over a week, maybe two. But today when I tried to use it on my main iPhone, I was told I already have 3 devices connected. I would claim impossible since my other devices are not with me, sitting at home not logged in. So how do I discover what 3 devices are supposedly connected? And is there a remote way to just say, when logging in, to logout all other devices?I doubt my account has been compromised and someone else is using it, but how would I know? Thanks
I'm a newby to this forum. I purchased the web root WiFi security yesterday. everything was up and running. Today i turned on my laptop, try to connect the WiFi security. cant connect, too many sessions. My tablet and phone WiFi security is off. I don't understand why it keeps saying it cant connect, too many open session. Can anyone help. much appreciated
I have always been able to print to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus via WiFi from my desktop (Dell XPS 8700 Intel i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz 16.0 GB RAM, Windows 10 version 1903 64-bit op system), laptop (HP Pavilion Intel i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 12.0 GB RAM, Windows 10 version 1809 64-bit op system, and smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S8+). However, when I turned on Webroot WiFi Security on all 3, none of them would print. When I disconnected them, they all printed. I do have my Trusted WifI Network selected for all 3. Turning off the Kill Switch had no effect. In order to print, I must disconnect Webroot WiFi Security. I have two netfilter.access.logs and one service.log available to email to you if you need them.
WIN 10 Home, Webroot SecureAnywhere, Webroot WiFi Security (IKEv2 selected), Malwarebytes. When I first connect to WiFi Security, access via Edge is delayed and has been since I installed a year ago. Access via IE11, GC, and FF is immediate. Coincidently, cursor over the network tray icon shows only the router connection while Edge is inop but shows both WiFi Security connection and router connection when Edge finally can connect. I am not a Edge default user, but some sites are not stable in IE11 anymore so I have to cut/paste into FF if Edge is still waiting for access under WiFi Security. Any thoughts on why this is occurring?
I noticed on the download site that Webroot Wifi Security is listed as not compatible with Windows 8. I didn't notice this exclusion when I first downloaded the software. Is this correct? Could this be why I can no longer access my software either on my phone or PC? Support told me to ignore that information. There is no compatibility issue.
I already have Webroot Internet Secure Anywhere with 5 licenses. I purchased WiFi Security about a month and half ago and verified my account. I cant seem to find a way to add and remove devices for my WiFi Security subscription (for 3 devices). Where do I do that? How do I do that? The internet security WIFI Console doesn't give me a screen where I can do that.
--How do I tell if Webroot VPN service is working on my PC? On my cell phone, I can see a small key icon in the upper right corner. There is no icon on any of my browser bars (Vivaldi, Chrome, IE, Firefox, Opera) to indicate that VPN is active. --How can I change my country of origin? --Does the service work with the Vivaldi browser? How can I tell? PS. I prefer Vivaldi as a browser. Great for people doing research. --Is my smart TV a weak point in my security network? e.g., when I am streaming through a ROKU set box. Thank you for your response.
