I installed the new update for Wifi console and now when I connect it will not allow me to connect to the internet. I am in no way shape or form knowledgeable about computers. I know how to use apps, not how they work. So any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for any help. sthannahs
So I have frustratingly been looking all through my emails, attempting to find a stupid verification email so I can use the vpn that I am paying for. Nothing. If it was more than 30 days ago and was sent to spam I can't recover it. There's nothing I can find in my account home page and when I try and contact support its just an infinite loop of enter password without being able to contact support. What kind of joke is this?
I just got wi-fi security and am finding way too many sites I commonly use on laptop, android phone and tablet that totally bomb with wi-fi security connected. Have I missed crucial settings? Anyone else having problems like this? (sure would like gmail to work through vpn as google picks up key words in both headers and text to send me adverts I REALLY DON'T WANT, total invasion of privacy).
I have problems both trying to “connect” at times (and no certain reason why … and “connecting” but cannot access the web using firefox. This occurs on both desktop and laptop. Ran/run network troubleshooter and says problem is with settings for security and firewall. Not smart enough to know what to check for and/or change in these settings. I have the latest win 10 update environment. Advice?
Able to connect on 5 devices on Sunday. On Monday - zero. Error message reads: WiFi Security can’t connect. Please check internet connection and try again. This would be the internet connection that I am currently sending this question on :-) Any ideas?
I keep getting “CONNECTION FAILURE” on my Webroot Wifi Security. I have received ZERO help from Webroot. I’m seriously considering uninstalling, even though I’ve paid for everything, and going with another company. As far as I know I changed nothing; perhaps, one of the Windows updates messed with it? I just don’t know what to do????
I cannot install the latest Webroot WiFi Security App on my Windows 10 laptop. When I download the .exe from here... An error message pops up along with a chime but the message appears so quick that I'm unable to read it. I have tried running it with Administrator privileges, as well, but still no joy. :( The funny thing is, I can install an older version of the app (184.108.40.206) which still works, but it keeps telling me to download the updated version. Whether I download the update from within the app or from the link above, it will not install. Would it be possible for another member to try downloading the WiFi app for Windows from the above source and tell me if you're able to install it. If you can, then it's something on my end. If you can't then it's something on Webroot's end. Thanks in advance,
I notice that if my WiFi is turned off in Windows, and I go to the WiFi App's [b]Settings[/b] > [b]Connections[/b] > '[b]Enable Trusted WiFi Networks Management'[/b], that it closes the program down without any warning when I click the '[b]+[/b]' Sign to add a trusted SSID. It obviously causes an error because the WiFi is disabled and it's not able to list the available SSID's. When I enable my WiFi again, it then works as expected after restarting the WiFi app. It probably needs some sort of feedback control that notifies you to turn on WiFi and then try again? For Reference: O/S: Windows 10 Enterprise (1803) PS. I realise this is a consumer product and I have it installed on a business Laptop which I use for both purposes, but I think the nature of this issue would probably affect other users as well.
A few bugs and misunderstandings: I just reinstalled, entered my credentials and logged in. I see message that it will run in the backgound and then go to the connect screen. I set my preferences to use US West, and press connect. The little circle around the American Flag starts to spin, and the orange box says CONNECTING... "Connect to" say Automatic. After about 15 seconds the spinning stops and the Orange button goes back to Connect. Nothing happens, or so it seems. BUT.... Then I get a Notificaiton pop-up (Android notifcation area) that says; "WiFi Security: VPN connection is active. You are now protected wth VPN." Except, it is not connected as the app is asking me to connect and is not showing the connected screen. The small key is not showing in the top status bar. Seems like a few differend bugs here. I have changed my password numerous times and I still can not get into the system for WiFi Security. Please cancel this part of webroot for me, It has been over a year and I still can not get in.I love the regular webroot program and will continue with that. But WiFi Security just does not work for me.Thank you.Ralph W. Agar, Jr.
I have always been able to print to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus via WiFi from my desktop (Dell XPS 8700 Intel i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz 16.0 GB RAM, Windows 10 version 1903 64-bit op system), laptop (HP Pavilion Intel i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 12.0 GB RAM, Windows 10 version 1809 64-bit op system, and smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S8+). However, when I turned on Webroot WiFi Security on all 3, none of them would print. When I disconnected them, they all printed. I do have my Trusted WifI Network selected for all 3. Turning off the Kill Switch had no effect. In order to print, I must disconnect Webroot WiFi Security. I have two netfilter.access.logs and one service.log available to email to you if you need them.
I have downloaded & Installed Webroot Wifi Security to all my Apple devises. I now installed it to my PC. It would not let me sign-in. So I tried to register it. It would not let me use the user name I had for my other devices. Made me register it with my e-mail address. Would not send me a verification e-mail. Said I already had my address registered. (Yes, with my Anywhere acct,). When I logged into my tablet it had changed my user name to my e-mail address. I can log in to my Apple devices but not my Mcrosoft 7 PC. How do I solve this problem? I've been running WWS all week on my laptop at work. Yesterday afternoon I lost my Internet connection. I'm connected using an ethernet cable but I could not get Internet by any means, including WiFi. Troubleshooting stated that my PC couldn't connect to the DNS server. I reset our server at work and still nothing. I tried everything I know to get my Internet back, reset adapters, rebooted PC, reset server, reset router, reset firewall hardware. Nothing worked. It wasn't until I uninstalled WWS that I was able to get my Internet back. I did not submit a ticket this time, but if it happens again I will. This seems like a lot of extra work just to get my Internet back on my laptop. I'm really hoping this was just a fluke and not an indicator of future issues. I experienced a similar issue when testing the Beta, as well. At that time, it seemed that this app not only disrupted connections on the PC to which it's installed, but messed with my whole WiFi network. This time it has onl
