Hello' This morning it seems that my Wifi on my Android will not connect at all. This worked perfectly yesterday and before that. Stays on this screen and I've tried connecting to other places but same thing. Please advise. My Android has been rebooted. My work employs about 1000. The network is a 2-tiered system: 1) a secured login where the employees supply the network-wide Login ID & password 2) an unsecured Guest account Question is which one is best for using WR Wifi Security for individual privacy away from the prying eyes of our IT department?
pstonethompson , I find more often then not that I have to make a connection manually for my WiFI on my Mac (El Capitan) to connect. Because all I get is a spinning circle trying to connect and it does until I go into Preferences/Network. My Mac is usually always turned on or in sleep mode and the WiFi Security shuts off at that time and that is when I have to restart the WIFi connection..manually. Is this how the WiFi Security behaves on a Mac? I just got wi-fi security and am finding way too many sites I commonly use on laptop, android phone and tablet that totally bomb with wi-fi security connected. Have I missed crucial settings? Anyone else having problems like this? (sure would like gmail to work through vpn as google picks up key words in both headers and text to send me adverts I REALLY DON'T WANT, total invasion of privacy).
I am on a Mac running 10.14.3 (Mojave) with Webroot Wifi Security 1.0.3. I quit Wifi Security while it was connected. Now, my internet is completely blocked, and I cannot connect to anything on my Mac. I looked through the firewall and found nothing unusual. I tried to launch wifi security and login again, but it cant login because all internet connections are blocked. I finally had to quit everything and restart to get network back. Is there something I can do other than restarting to get network back when this happens? Thanks
Hi - I am having problems with the wifi security program, and as I can read from the former posts, my problems have been adressed before. This is dissapointing news to me. Wifi Security is version 1.0.5 (1) and I am on a Mac Mini with HighSierra. My first issue is, that though I have checked the run on start up box, nothing happens when I power up the computer. I have to manually find the program and click on it. Then i have to wait for 1 minute to be logged in - only to be shown the subscription terms screen and then, again, have to click agree. The connection to automatic location takes about 5 seconds and is very very good. But then I have to disconnect and connect again every 3 hours. I simply loose all internet connection after 3 hours online. That is simply not acceptable. I guess I couldn't find any of theese problems listed when I visited your website to buy the program, and I have to ask wether you can solve theese issues, or if you have a money back guar
..but, as is always the case, you have no way to know without trying it yourself. It's not worth it for my family. We've been running the VPN software on our Android phones and three computers for a few weeks now. On one laptop computer, we simply uninstalled it. It caused too many directly attributable connection problems, whether because it was incompatible with the computer, our wifi, or our Internet provider is unknown . It's working okay on another laptop. That one laptop gives me hope. On my desktop it is simply causing more and more problems that are clearly latency-related. Latency within the computer and network latency. I've proved it to myself by running identical software with and without the VPN, and trying the same connections within the same short time frames with and without the VPN running. On the cell phones the VPN seems to run in the background with no observed latency issues, though it does interfere with things like Google microphone, and fr
I have a five device subscription. I've uninstalled Wi-Fi Security from one device (a rarely used laptop) so I could install it on a new device, a tablet. No problem downloading it to the tablet, but I can't sign in because I'm getting a message saying I have "too many open sessions and need to log out of one of my devices." Obviously Webroot can't recognize that I've uninstalled the VPN softwarefrom a device that previously had it. And it wasn't even logged in when I uninstalled it. Yikes. How to proceed is the question!
I understand from a business standpoint why a VPN is useful. As a home user, I was interested in keeping my data private. I've had Wifi Security for about 3 days now and have been trying out a few things on it. I am not interested in doing anything illegal with it or violating copyright laws. After the first hour of being connected to the default server of Mexico: 1) Facebook wants me to verify my identity because it sees me logged in somewhere else 2) Microsoft wants me to verify my identity because it sees me logged in somewhere else 3) My bank warns me that I'm logged in somewhere else and wants to make sure it's ok 4) Netflix warns me that I'm logged in from a different country and then warns me that I'm violating terms of service if I'm logged in through a VPN) 5) Apple warns me about the same thing So...if I'm not doing anything illegal or trying to violate copyright laws, is being threatened to remove my Netflix account and Apple account and having to verify my iden
Hello. I'm using an Orbi RBK 53 mesh router for my home WiFi. Multiple Windows PCs, iOS mobile devices, smart TV, and other IoT devices are attached by either ethernet or Wifi connection. Some questions. 1) ls Webroot Wifi Security VPN completely compatible with the Orbi Mesh system when the Webroot VPN app is installed on PCs and mobile devices attached to the Internet through the Orbi router? 2) Can Webroot WiFi Security VPN be installed on the router system to protect devices attached to the Internet through the Orbi mesh router, when the devices do not themselves have the Webroot VPN app installed on them? 3) Does Webroot WiFi Security VPN have the ability to designated or purchase a dedicated IPN address for a VPN server? 4) Does the Webroot WiFi VPN use OpenVPN? Thanks or any help you can provide.
Hello everyone, i hope that someone will be able to help me out. So i just renewed the subscription with Webroot SecureAnywhere but this time i also purchased Webroot Wifi Security. And everything works perfect on my Desktop. But on my laptop the Wifi Security does not seem to work. I keep getting "Connection Failure".. It tells me to contact support, and i have done that but it seems to take forever for them to answer me. So i thought that i would try my luck here. I've tried to have the "Automatic location" on and i've tried different countrys by manual selecting them, and i've tried to change every almost ever combination of setups in the settings menu. And tried to add it to my firewall etc..

My laptop is a back-up for my desktop so it is essential that I be able to use my w-fi to back up my desktop to my laptop. Since installing Webroot's VPN on both, my laptop can no longer "see" my desktop via my wi-fi, even after disconnecting the vpn. This is a big deal for me. On a seemingly unrelated note, the VPN on my laptop won't connect anyway since I restarted my laptop the first time after the install.. I jumped through hoops to install this, as it sounded GREAT. After a decade with Webroot this is the first time I'm tempted to chuck a bit of software. Help, please?
I'm new to VPN and the WiFi Security product. I just installed it yesterday and have tried to torrent in safety. Each torrent site I've tried gives me the "This Site Can't be Reached" error. I''m using the Automatic Location connection. What do I need to do to be able to connect to torrent sites?
A few years ago I discovered Webroot and am convinced that Webroot Secure Anywhere is the best cyber security package available anywhere. Because I am a big Webroot fan, I was very excited when Webroot decided to offer a VPN. I was part of the Beta program and posted at that time, among other things, that my connection was erratic and it kept disconnecting and reconnecting. I was hoping that this would be resolved when Webroot released its final VPN product. Over the past couple of months since the release the Webroot VPN it disconnects and reconnects much too frequently as to make the product unusable. This occurs at all the different servers but the two in the US seem to be the worst. At times I am disconnected from the internet and it will not re connect. The only way to get re connected is to quit the Webroot VPN. This happens with the kill switch on or off, makes no difference. I have no connection problems with Webroot VPN not runni
As I was pleased with Webroot Secure anywhere, I decided to buy this Secure WIFI. I paid for an annual subscription but I don't like automatic renewal. Call me old-fashioned but I like to decide what I spend my money on and when. To cancel atomatic subscription I had to send an email. To be frank, I'm not entirely confident that they won't just take money out of my account come the allotted time. That seems to be sooner than expected as it is linked to my SecureAnywhere account which expires in a month. I got a message saying it Secure Wifi will expire but I can click a button to agree that it will auto renew. I paid a year and I get a month. Will I auto renew. No way. The whole website is designed to bamboozle you. I clicked on 'support ticket'and it asked me to sign on but it just goes to my product overview. I found my way back to support and it asked me to sign on again!! Why do these tech companies have so li
Ok, according to your website, Webroot Wifi Security should run on Mac 10.9.x. So I downloaded the dmg file, dragged the app to Applications and launched it. Many of the apps buttons and images are garbage, looking like static rather than images. The connect button is missing as well. The icon in the menu bar looks like a box of white static. If I hover around the connection screen, I can find the missing buttons because the cursor changes to a button press cursor when over the "missing" button. If I press it, it connects. BUT, connections speeds are almost non-existent on 10.9, failing to sometimes even connect, but even when connected, speeds are in bytes per second. (As a test, I ran on the same Wifi network using my Android phone, and speeds were good enough to stream videos.) I have screen captures of the apps window but I see no way to attach them here. But I would say regardless of what this page (https://www.web
