As I was pleased with Webroot Secure anywhere, I decided to buy this Secure WIFI. I paid for an annual subscription but I don't like automatic renewal. Call me old-fashioned but I like to decide what I spend my money on and when. To cancel atomatic subscription I had to send an email. To be frank, I'm not entirely confident that they won't just take money out of my account come the allotted time. That seems to be sooner than expected as it is linked to my SecureAnywhere account which expires in a month. I got a message saying it Secure Wifi will expire but I can click a button to agree that it will auto renew. I paid a year and I get a month. Will I auto renew. No way. The whole website is designed to bamboozle you. I clicked on 'support ticket'and it asked me to sign on but it just goes to my product overview. I found my way back to support and it asked me to sign on again!! Why do these tech companies have so li
Ok, according to your website, Webroot Wifi Security should run on Mac 10.9.x. So I downloaded the dmg file, dragged the app to Applications and launched it. Many of the apps buttons and images are garbage, looking like static rather than images. The connect button is missing as well. The icon in the menu bar looks like a box of white static. If I hover around the connection screen, I can find the missing buttons because the cursor changes to a button press cursor when over the "missing" button. If I press it, it connects. BUT, connections speeds are almost non-existent on 10.9, failing to sometimes even connect, but even when connected, speeds are in bytes per second. (As a test, I ran on the same Wifi network using my Android phone, and speeds were good enough to stream videos.) I have screen captures of the apps window but I see no way to attach them here. Hi everyone! Here is a funny one. I was having trouble with logging in to Webroot WiFi Security on my [b]PC[/b]. Submitted a ticket and the answer was to re-register my credentials and I did that and it worked fine. [b]Now I go to log in on my iPad Pro and it won’t let me. Then I went to the support page and it won’t let me log in. Crazy! This is Sunday and I can’t call them either.[/b] [b]BTW, what is a message tag?[/b] Best regards, Gerard
Working with the non-beta WiFi Security VPN for the past few days. While I have expereince no significant issues with the mobile version the Win10 version has been problematic. The Win10 version has very frequent disconnects (a couple very 10 minutes) and when establishing or re-establishing a connection it will stay in "refreshing" status for more than 10 minutes (at which time I am frustrated going without VPN). My Win10 system checks are all is good. I can establish solid VPN connections with other services, so I am inclined to see this as a problem with WiFi Secure. I did not have this problem with the beta version of WiFi Security. I suspect either the VPN server provider used by Webroot has a traffic issue (as the Webroot software appears to install and initialize properly) or WiFi Security has a compatibility issue.
I notice that if my WiFi is turned off in Windows, and I go to the WiFi App's [b]Settings[/b] > [b]Connections[/b] > '[b]Enable Trusted WiFi Networks Management'[/b], that it closes the program down without any warning when I click the '[b]+[/b]' Sign to add a trusted SSID. It obviously causes an error because the WiFi is disabled and it's not able to list the available SSID's. When I enable my WiFi again, it then works as expected after restarting the WiFi app. It probably needs some sort of feedback control that notifies you to turn on WiFi and then try again? For Reference: O/S: Windows 10 Enterprise (1803) PS. I realise this is a consumer product and I have it installed on a business Laptop which I use for both purposes, but I think the nature of this issue would probably affect other users as well.
I [b]purchased[/b] and installed the Windows version of VPN Wifi and cannot login. This is NOT the Beta version. I also did the steps in the email including registration and I do see reference to the Wifi product on my Webroot Security dashboard, I have tried the password used when buying Wifi and the password used when buying Internet Security, any help is appreciated. A few bugs and misunderstandings: I just reinstalled, entered my credentials and logged in. I see message that it will run in the backgound and then go to the connect screen. I set my preferences to use US West, and press connect. The little circle around the American Flag starts to spin, and the orange box says CONNECTING... "Connect to" say Automatic. After about 15 seconds the spinning stops and the Orange button goes back to Connect. Nothing happens, or so it seems. BUT.... Then I get a Notificaiton pop-up (Android notifcation area) that says; "WiFi Security: VPN connection is active. You are now protected wth VPN." Except, it is not connected as the app is asking me to connect and is not showing the connected screen. The small key is not showing in the top status bar. Seems like a few differend bugs here. After trying different locaitons, multiple atempts, I noticed that I was not on Wifi, just connected via th
OK, I bought it and I am using it on my PC now. My download speed before VPN = 215mbps. My download speed after VPN = 26mbps. This is not a minor slowdown as your sales information states. I am in Texas and I selected US west as a favorite but it auto selects Mexico. Tell me this speed issue can be fixed.
I have downloaded & Installed Webroot Wifi Security to all my Apple devises. I now installed it to my PC. It would not let me sign-in. So I tried to register it. It would not let me use the user name I had for my other devices. Made me register it with my e-mail address. Would not send me a verification e-mail. Said I already had my address registered. (Yes, with my Anywhere acct,). When I logged into my tablet it had changed my user name to my e-mail address. I can log in to my Apple devices but not my Mcrosoft 7 PC. How do I solve this problem? Just began using Webroot Wifi Secrurity in U. S . A. and one time so far lost connection and the program tried to reconnect over and over and it would not connect. I shut it off. Several minutes later, I re-established connection and everything was fine. I don't know if this will continue. On one of my games, I couldn’t connect to Facebook until I disconnected the vpn and used my home wifi, is this normal? Best regards, Gerard
I've been running WWS all week on my laptop at work. Yesterday afternoon I lost my Internet connection. I'm connected using an ethernet cable but I could not get Internet by any means, including WiFi. Troubleshooting stated that my PC couldn't connect to the DNS server. I reset our server at work and still nothing. I tried everything I know to get my Internet back, reset adapters, rebooted PC, reset server, reset router, reset firewall hardware. Nothing worked. It wasn't until I uninstalled WWS that I was able to get my Internet back. I did not submit a ticket this time, but if it happens again I will. This seems like a lot of extra work just to get my Internet back on my laptop. I'm really hoping this was just a fluke and not an indicator of future issues. I experienced a similar issue when testing the Beta, as well. At that time, it seemed that this app not only disrupted connections on the PC to which it's installed, but messed with my whole WiFi network. This time it has onl
When going to webroot site to purchase subscription, I see offer for $ 20 off for 3 device/1 year subscription and $ 30 off for 5 device/1 year subscription. But when I go to, purchase the 5 device subscription it only shows $ 20 off. Not sure which one is correct , before I finalize my purchase. Calling sales with the number provided by online help sent to Geeksquad at bestbuy who are of no help. Suggestions.
