Hello' This morning it seems that my Wifi on my Android will not connect at all. This worked perfectly yesterday and before that. Stays on this screen and I've tried connecting to other places but same thing. Please advise. My Android has been rebooted. I’ve had WR WiFi Security for a while, but only in the last 2 weeks or so have I actively been using it. I’m finding that I get my emails sporadically or not at all and when I send an email - it is getting hung up. I have to disconnect from the WR WiF Security in order to successfully send the email/receive current/days past emails. Additionally, I’m now getting a lot of spam where in the past (before I started using WR WiFi Security) I never got spam. I constantly get messages from Windows Live Mail that the mail server timed out. I’ve looked at this forum for answers but I haven’t found any.
Hello I'm having issues with the release version https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.webroot.mobile.wifisecurity on my Android Phone. When I disconnect and close the app the key lock Icon comes back at the top in 10 to 15 seconds but the Wi-Fi VPN is not active and I don't know but it will not let connect to my home network unless I sign out which is a pain as I never had these issues during the Beta. So I assume it is still active in some way and the sign out is my only option when I don't want to use the VPN at the time. A few years ago I discovered Webroot and am convinced that Webroot Secure Anywhere is the best cyber security package available anywhere. Because I am a big Webroot fan, I was very excited when Webroot decided to offer a VPN. I was part of the Beta program and posted at that time, among other things, that my connection was erratic and it kept disconnecting and reconnecting. I was hoping that this would be resolved when Webroot released its final VPN product. Over the past couple of months since the release the Webroot VPN it disconnects and reconnects much too frequently as to make the product unusable. This occurs at all the different servers but the two in the US seem to be the worst. At times I am disconnected from the internet and it will not re connect. The only way to get re connected is to quit the Webroot VPN. This happens with the kill switch on or off, makes no difference. I have no connection problems with Webroot VPN not runni
I can’t login to Webroot Wifi Security. When I try, I get the message “Wifi Security can’t connect. Please check your internet connection and try again”. There is no internet connection issue - I am posting this with the internet connection that I have. I have never had an issue logging in until I recently extended my subscription for 1 year. When calling in, I was told that my subscription has been extended on my current e-mail account, but I have no way of seeing whether that has happened - my Webroot Secure Anywhere account tells me I have a number of days remaining, but my Wifi Security account says nothing about a current subscription or how long it has to go (though I renewed to December 2020). Not sure why it’s so hard to extend a subscription or get a solution to this. I understand things go wrong sometimes, but I would expect this kind of issue to be solved fairly promptly after having paid for the service. If it’s not, then I’ll be moving to another product sadly, a
Hi everyone! Here is a funny one. I was having trouble with logging in to Webroot WiFi Security on my PC. Submitted a ticket and the answer was to re-register my credentials and I did that and it worked fine. Now I go to log in on my iPad Pro and it won’t let me. Then I went to the support page and it won’t let me log in. Crazy! This is Sunday and I can’t call them either. BTW, what is a message tag? Best regards, Gerard
Starting last Saturday, when I try to use my Canon printer to scan documents, it gives me an error message. There were no problems in printing or copying. I contacted to Canon’s support group and we found that if we took Webroot down for a moment, that I was able to scan. Can someone tell me what to do so that I don't have to take Webroot down every time that I want to scan something? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
Working with the non-beta WiFi Security VPN for the past few days. While I have expereince no significant issues with the mobile version the Win10 version has been problematic. The Win10 version has very frequent disconnects (a couple very 10 minutes) and when establishing or re-establishing a connection it will stay in "refreshing" status for more than 10 minutes (at which time I am frustrated going without VPN). My Win10 system checks are all is good. I can establish solid VPN connections with other services, so I am inclined to see this as a problem with WiFi Secure. I did not have this problem with the beta version of WiFi Security. I suspect either the VPN server provider used by Webroot has a traffic issue (as the Webroot software appears to install and initialize properly) or WiFi Security has a compatibility issue.
I have to routinely disconnect my VPN throughout the day as email does not download and I cannot gain access a subscription website. The two problem email servers are protonmail and chaossoftware. The 3rd blocked website is a streaming video website (I get the login page, but cannot log in). I am a registered language editor of their videos and am on and off the site regularly throughout the day. I have to disconnect VPN to gain access to these sites. This has become a major headache. Connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect all day long. I also have a very long password for my VPN, so it is not like entering abc123 each time! :) Is there a correct procedure or workaround or is this a symptom of VPN in general? Thank you in advance for your reply. Skye
While I have installed Webroot Wifi Security on a number of devices, I have not used it on anything in over a week, maybe two. But today when I tried to use it on my main iPhone, I was told I already have 3 devices connected. I would claim impossible since my other devices are not with me, sitting at home not logged in. So how do I discover what 3 devices are supposedly connected? And is there a remote way to just say, when logging in, to logout all other devices?I doubt my account has been compromised and someone else is using it, but how would I know? Thanks
I am on a Mac running 10.14.3 (Mojave) with Webroot Wifi Security 1.0.3. I quit Wifi Security while it was connected. Now, my internet is completely blocked, and I cannot connect to anything on my Mac. I looked through the firewall and found nothing unusual. I tried to launch wifi security and login again, but it cant login because all internet connections are blocked. I finally had to quit everything and restart to get network back. Is there something I can do other than restarting to get network back when this happens? Thanks
I notice that if my WiFi is turned off in Windows, and I go to the WiFi App's Settings > Connections > 'Enable Trusted WiFi Networks Management', that it closes the program down without any warning when I click the '+' Sign to add a trusted SSID. It obviously causes an error because the WiFi is disabled and it's not able to list the available SSID's. When I enable my WiFi again, it then works as expected after restarting the WiFi app. It probably needs some sort of feedback control that notifies you to turn on WiFi and then try again? For Reference: O/S: Windows 10 Enterprise (1803) PS. I realise this is a consumer product and I have it installed on a business Laptop which I use for both purposes, but I think the nature of this issue would probably affect other users as well.
I opened a ticket 2 days ago and no one has responded. How long does it freakin take to get support? For the last 3 days when I try to connect to any VPN location I get IP ADDRESS: NOT DETECTED after about 20 seconds. I even uninstalled/reinstalled your crappy product. How do I get this fixed?
I have created a WiFi security with the username and password that is exactly the same as my current console account. I can login to console and see SecureWiFiConsole created. However, my credentials is not working in the WiFi Security app on Mac - keeps telling me that password must be 9 characters and include 3 numbers - which my password matches and works on the console.
