Upon reaching Expert Advisor level on the Webroot Community, users are granted the ability to accept solutions in topics they did not create.  This ability is a privilege granted only to users who have demonstrated that they are product experts.

When marking a response as an accepted solution, please adhere to the following guidelines:
1. The post marked as a solution must be an actual solution.
2. A timeframe of at least one week should generally be granted to the original poster to give him or her a chance to mark the solution first.
3. It is possible to have more than one accepted solution in a topic because there is often more than one way to solve a problem.  It is ok to mark more than one solution, but these solutions must not be identical.  When there is an identical solution, the first person to have posted the solution gets the credit.

These guidelines are intended for users who have achieved an Expert Advisor rank or above.  While administrators and moderators will generally make efforts to abide by these guidelines as well, the guidelines are not intended for them.
