We've added a new badge type that will show what country you live in.  This allows you to show off your country pride as well as help others know where you are from.  This allows us to know what time zone you are in and what your primary language is and thus allows community members to better help you.  To get the badge for your country, just go to your profile page and select your country from that drop-down list:
https://community.webroot.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/personal-profile%3Apersonal-info

To start with we've created badges for the following countries.  If your country doesn't yet have a badge, just let me know and I'll get that one created.  That way we can prioritize which country badges we create by demand, rather than just doing them in alphabetical order:

  • United States
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • France
  • Germany
  • Japan
  • Ireland
  • Austria
  • United Kingdom
  • Belgium

Nice feature which help greatly when members are trying to understand where OPs/responders are from, etc.

I just spotted this topic....I got one  of these badges for the  USA on Monday.  However, I am not from the US, and I went into my profile settings...and voila, I changed something  in there and now I have two badges...One from USA and Australia.

I bet nobody else has that showing up when you mouseover a member's profile.

P.S.   BTW, I notice some posts/comments about Trump...Just saying if I could vote come November, I would give him my vote. ;)

Edit:  spelling error

There isn't a way to remove badges yet, although I did put in a feature request on Lithium's site and it recently got accepted as a feature they are going to implement. Until then you'll have to wear the US badge 🙂

? I believe you've mistakenly put the Belgian flag for Germany. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Germany.svg

Nice idea for the flags btw.

That is strange - let me delete the badge and recreate it and see if that fixes it.

I was having the same issue, Nic...field set to 'United Kingdom' but no Union flag...flying. ;)

I think I fixed it. There's two entries for UK in the dropdown and each of them maps to a different two letter code (GB vs UK). I changed it to UK and it looks like it is showing up now.

Ok I have the Germany and Australia flags fixed, and since we had the Belgium flag anyway I went ahead and added that one for the correct country. Please let me know if you see any more errors that need fixing!
