Scanning Drives

Can I scan other drives other than my C drive?  can I scan an flash drive in my USB port?

Hello ?,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Just go to My Computer and Right Click on the Drive and Click Scan with Webroot from the context menu!

And as an after thought I might add, before the question is posed, unfortunately there is no way at present to make WSA by default scan any other drive a part from the C: drive/the drive that your OS is installed on.

Hope this helps?

Hi gpm30001

Welcome to the Community Forms.

Yes, you can but not by default. The quickest way is to find the drive that you want to scan, in File Explorer, right click on the drive icon, and from the context menus displayed select 'Scan with Webroot' and that should initate the scan process which will pop up in a separate window on the Desktop.

You are most welcome...gpm30001

And if you are interested you can also undertake this with more control as to what is scanned and the depth scanned by clicking on the gear/cog to the right of the PC Security tab in the main app panel. That should open you up on the Scan & Shields tab. If you look in the bottom lefthand corner of that tabe you will see a button marked 'Custom Scan' and if yo click on that you will have access to a fair few options in terms of scanning both your C: driev or other drives.

And all explained here.

Regards, Baldrick
