Microsoft releases an Outlook app for Android and iOS

The app comes following Microsoft's acquisition of innovative mobile email firm Acompli earlier in December 2014. The move came after an announcement from Redmond that it was to focus more heavily on mobile development for other platforms. Having received significant praise from both critics and the public regarding its mobile email app, it was effectively a matter of time before the firm was taken over and its work was utilized for a bigger project.
