Antivirus subscription not continuing

I have a laptop running Windows 10, and my grace period to renew my webroot subscription recently ran out. Within the two hours of my grace period ending and my laptop being unprotected, a virus that was already downloaded onto my computer started to take effect, ending in my laptop becoming stuck in a reboot loop and no access to the internet. I can log in only if I am booted into safe mode. I tried to renew my subscription - I got the confirmation email saying that it had worked at 1 the next day, about when the daily batch of renewals is processed. I waited until 7 the next morning for the subscription to kick in, but I am still without protection. Do I need internet access to recieve the renewal? Should I try reinstalling the antivirus via flash drive? Please help!
