Hello @,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Well where do I start?

#1- Webroot has a roll back feature "What Happens if Webroot Misses a Virus"

#2- What's my number 1 favorite which convinced me to go with Webroot was their free Technical Support as long as you have a Webroot licensed subscription. And there isn't any other Av's with this kind of superior free Support on this planet!

#3- Please have a look at these Seminar video at BrghtTalk https://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/8241/127363 about the Evolution of Encrypting Ransomeware

#4- Webroot SecureAnywhere can either replace or work alongside your existing antivirus software.
Webroot SecureAnywhere is fully compatible with other mainstream antivirus products and
will work alongside any existing antivirus software to detect and remove any threats it
misses, and to protect your financial and personal information.
You will not be asked to uninstall your existing antivirus when installing Webroot
SecureAnywhere....

Here is our PC User Guide

#6- Webroot also has an online Account console so you can monitor your PCs, Android devices and Password Management capilities at your fingertips.

#7- Webroot Antivirus also protects Mac Computers ..which is one of the reasons I purchased Webroot. I'm running WSAC on 5 devices  plus more inclucing my Android tablets and cell phone.

@ There are so many reasons why I love Webroot and I will leave something for our other Forum members to add. There are just too many great aspects to cover them all!

Thanks for asking and hopefully I didnt go overboard but I can't tell you how excited I am about Webroot and after 20 years of using Av's to finally find one that I will use and trust for the rest of my computer years!:D

Best Regards

Hi Daveed,

to the Webroot Community Forum and the Webroot Family. :D

I've had Webroot products on my computer since 2004, started with the old Spy Sweeper that is retired now.

I've been using WSA since it's first launch and I'm extremely satisfied running it. It's a big security protection in a little package. I have never been infected running WSA on my computer or my Wife's. Now my Wife is the real test for WSA. I call her the "Happy Clicker". She will click unknown links on the web all the time. She has never been infected either, thanks to WSA.

Customer Service: The Best I have ever seen. If you have any problems, post them on the Forum and they will be answered quickly.

Here a nice link that explains WSA:

Hi and welcome to the Community @    https:///t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/42972
The 2 previous posts sum up perfectly about Webroot so I will give you my opinion straight up.
I am a relative newcomer to Webroot (just gone 2 years) and I am not really technically minded because with my job I don't have a huge amount of free time and what I have learnt I have learnt by reading, so I needed something easy to set up.

Which brings me to your question.
I have used Norton, Kaspersky, Panda, Eset, McAfee and I think more which at this moment I cannot remember. They all needed user input from me and getting support (especially from Norton) was not always the easiest thing to do. And that is on top of the amount of resources they used up.
Norton for example, look at the install, load the DVD, start the install then the laborious process of the updates to it, your looking at maybe 1 1/2 hours depending on the connection, this is followed by scanning the entire computer.

Now Webroot.
Install - seconds with no huge updates.
Uninstall (when needed) seconds and not needing a special uninstall tool from the vendor.
Support - totally free with a current subscription. PLUS this support forum which is second to none.
The staff, whenever I have had to have support via the phone, the staff have been fantastic and I have to rate them 10 out of 10. I will say though that occasionally you may hear or see a post where that is not quite the case. But they are well into a very small % compared to some of the others. The volunteers who man this community are the best you can get and they are usually fast and on the ball with all the questions, I cannot fault them at all.

On a personal level I always said when trying the others that if/when I find a decent AV I will stick with it. Well it took me a while and it took a bit of persuasion from a good friend to get me to try WSA. Webroot is not as well advertised as the big ones such as Norton and McAfee which is where the misconception comes in when buying them. If you see them advertised in all the big techy shops etc, you assume that they must be good :D
Within a day or two of trying Webroot I knew I was hooked, it is so light, unobtrusive, easy, and just so hassle free.
All I can say to people is just give it a trial and see what you think.

I love it  :D  It's quiet (doesn't bother you with any ' Fluff ')  and stops everything so far.  Also, doesn't cost much  :D  .

Hi Daveed

Very satisfied is the short answer to your question!  I echo all the sentiments shown above and in particular, I can relate to Jasper's view that when he found a decent AV, he would stick with it.

It took me a long time to land upon Webroot and I have to admit that I had not heard of WSA until four months ago when I was searching in earnest to replace Panda. I've prevoiusly used Eset, AVG, Norton and McAfee and briefly tried Avast and Avira.

What clinched it for me with Webroot was its very small footprint and low resourse use. A  search found this test of AVs memory usage and persuaded me to try it:

As soon as I installed it, I knew it was a winner. Subsequent events have proved that I made a good choice. This community is second to none and Support are very prompt and helpful when called upon. The forum is an excellent way to learn what you need to know about WSA and a lot about security in general.
