You mean VPN in general? I think there were some that being forced to track users activity. I do not know the extent of it or whic companies were involved. My understanding was that Hide My Ass VPN service was very secure still.@ wrote:

Still, if you're not paying for the service, then they have to be making money off data mining or some other more nefarious way of benefitting from your traffic. If you aren't paying for the VPN then I'd be wary.

I tried many free services but I failed to be secured, Here I found a reliable VPN service https://www.vpnanswers.com/f-secure-freedome-vpn-review-2017/ it provided me with high encrypted connection and secured all my transmitted data. You can find USA, UK, France and many other servers.
