Hi computom

Welcome to the Community Forums.

The answer is 'Yes', WSA protects your whole system from malware per se, of which viruses are but one element, and that does include Edge.

In addition should you wish to protect your private data then you can defined the components of Edge under the Identity Protection Shield, as follows:

1. Click on the gear/cog symbol to the right of the Identity Protection tab in the main app panel.
2. From the panel displayed select the Application Protection tab.
3. On the next panel click on the 'Add application' button
4. Navigate to the following path: C:WindowsSystemAppsMicrosoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe
5. Select (in tun the following .exes; MicrosoftEdge & MicrosoftEdgeCP, click 'Open' after each selection to get them registered in the Application Protection window.
6. Make sure that the entry for each of the aforementioned .exes is 'Protect',

and thereafter WSA will protect your browsing with Edge as it does but default for Chrome, IE, Firefox, etc.

Hope that helps?

Hi PaulTru

As I have advised in the thread that you have opened on this "MicrosoftEdge & MicrosoftEdge" should read "MicrosoftEdge & MicrosoftEdgeCP".

Thanks for pointing that out...I have amended the original advice.
