Custom Scan

I've selected a Custom scan of a folder by adding it to the list. It scans but when finished, close window, my selected folder is nolonger listed. Is this the way it's supposed to work? My last used AV application had a similiar option but retained the select file/folder in the selected window.

Yes, that is normal. Currently WSA does not allow you to save a custom scan setting for repeated use, you must select the desired folders each time.
I think there may be an Idea requesting saved custom scan settings, and you can Kudo it: the more Kudo's an idea receives the more likely it is to be considered.
If you cannot find an existing Idea, you can also create one!

I found the existing Idea regardimg this. While the answer back then was "not at this time", I strongly encourage you to Kudo amd comment on it. Things change over time so maybe this should be reviewed again. Personally, I think that the Custom Scan would be more useful if it was able to save scan settings.
