It's sad that PC Magazine no longer rates Webroot as an Editor’s Choice due to poor ransomware protection.

I still use Webroot and my siblings use it on my recommendation.

But has its buyout by OpenText lead to a diminished performance?

I am fully aware that Webroot uses a method that most AV certification companies can’t measure but it seems to be going downhill.

Webroot is working on better ransomware protection and in the very near future!

Will that be for business users only?

No consumers as well.

@mross

We’ve been providing OpenText with lots of feedback on the product/services with regards to improvements. Although slow, things are moving forward.

It’s odd that Webroot’s website page Awards and Testimonials does not feature any awards since 2020.

Nor are there any press releases since 2019.  I think page is desperately in need of updating or removing as it gives the impression the company is moribund!

I TOTALLY agree. There needs to be some MAJOR investment ($$$) in R&D put into this as it’s starting to lag behind in tech AND marketing.

Same here I fully agree for all platforms!
