Will webroot scan my externaal harddrive? If so how does one accomplish that?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
WSA will scan external hard drives but not automatically. The quickest way to do so manually is to locate the drive that you want to scan, right click on its icon and select 'Scan with Webroot' from the context menus displayed.
